But can we afford a top class CM to sit on his backside in the posh seats? JWP can do a job with one of our 2 main men I'm sure, then we have Moore in waiting somewhere. No point forming young players if you're going to push them down to 5th or 6th choice for the first team. Some of our young starlets aren't all thaty young compared to the 2 lads we have in CM already who've hundreds of games between them on the counter. Got to plan for the future, thought we were supposed to be doing that all through the side.

we don't need a CM, we have 4 already, some of them are amongst the best about. They play the game the manager wants them to play. Certain of our CMs are reputed to be highy desired by other sides and yet our fans don't rate them at their value. Movement in front is what we need, wide left, wide right, down the middle. So for me just a top class keeper, a stand in CB because I like Fonte and Yoshida and some real craft and pace out wide on either side, let Lallana adapt to whatever we can get, right or left. Maybe a LB as well, Shaw isn't quite quite ready yet, not far off though, maybe next season. Oh and some clearing out of dead wood.

Next five games where will the points come from?

All depends on Taraabt and he's trying to get a transfer to AC Milan. -

Us Wigan and Villa. Away games at Wigan and Villa will count for a lot at the end of the season. Seen Villa twice of late (the 2 defeats) and they really are a very poor side with most of their players being Championship level at best. Perhaps they have some injuries or something that will give them a hand up soon but if they continue with all those Australians and Canadians or whatever it is who are trying to play text-book football straight out of the NCAA they will go down. -

oh you mean the goalkeeping gifts, some of us predicted those last summer and were called ***ts,knobs, idiots and many other endearing names for our troubles. -

Think we're more likely to beat Villa than Arsenal though, expect them to give us a torrid time .Think Walcott will turn us inside out if he's fit. -

we need to start upping the points/game ratio because at the end of the season it needs to be 1 at least. As we're on 16 from 18 to put it back to equality 7 from 5 would be ideal and to beat Villa to boot is a bonus. -

need to do better than that so somewhere we've got to turn on the turbo and get an unexpectedly good result. Villa away perhaps. Probably need 7 points or better from these 5 games. -

1.65m ??? that's a vertically challenged person right? -
And yet RL said in the recent hospital visit interview that his youngest had recently been in the General at some time in the recent past. Information is out there, just need to assimilate it

for 6 months left on his contract ? -
Surely they can't continue with Guzman for much longer. There are some of the 12 goals he conceded last week that he might have done better with.

Don't know what they see in Guzman really,

are there other DS4s ?

Perhaps I should have used explanation instead of problem then. -
Stoke play 4-5-1 so we should be going that way as well, same side as Wednesday I expect.
-
Anyway 1 match suspensions for 5 cards are an occupational hazard for CMs and CBs. Most of them have already had or are about to serve a suspension of some kind. NA always talks about having players disposed to replace injuries and suspensions. 5 before end December or 7 before February doesn't make much difference, most players with a bit of the much desired "bite" will get one anyway. Should avoid dragging it out because it affects performance.

No that's wrong, we know they can attack, we've seen them do it, the Manager does not want them to attack therein lies the problem -
I meant Vick , couldn't care less where that fat to(a)s(t)ser Reid end up tbh.

I'd like to see Boruc in goal as well, don't see him being bullied as much by Kenwyne as Davis or Gazza might be.

not to mention yesterday, as I said in the Adkins thread we should be on 22 points now and the fact that we aren't is down to just 3 absolutely avoidable keeper errors. The Premier League is a harsh mistress -
NA must be desperately concerned about his very position being undermined by keeper error after keeper error. At this moment and without doing anything apart from stopping the stoppable as he would say we should be on 22 points and comfortably installed mid-table instead of hovering over the relegation zone with a pile of sh*tty away fixtures stacking up.
