Not St Mary's me, lived near there though, ran a mile in about 3 minutes everytime I saw one of them brothers in the Beechwood path.

Now lets see some safe bets: About 100 (at least) residents of the US of A gunned down in shopping malls and educational establishments by various nutjobs. About 2 to 3 thousand citizens of Pakistan gunned down by religious nutjobs.

For many of them Cliff Huxford was the last "good player" that we had. Because if you don't kick a player over the East Stand in the first 2 minutes you're rubbish. Too may old fogies at SMS.

Nah Lampard's been touted at Monaco as well, long before QPR. Won't go there of course but it keeps the journalists busy.
-
Surely the knee in the balls to Wilshere must have given him some respite with your neighbour. Why many reputations as a "top player" have been built on gestures such as that, like Benali for example because at football..well not so much.

Well I don't know. Lampard is Harry's nephew and may be looking further forward than his next paycheck. Something like succeeding Harry as manager or similiar?

Saints 1 Arsenal 1 - Post Match Reactions & MotM

As I saw it Arsenal had an off day because we stopped them having an "on" day. Right from the off we chased and harried them, getting a boot or a head in all the time. It's what happened to us a few times early in the season. They didn't play badly, in the main we just stopped them from playing their type of football and they didn't have the personnel to change enough for it to make a difference. -
Could be 2 current Saints players for all I know or 2 French lads from the Arse. The French commentators for yesterday's game knew about it, perhaps they were there, perhaps Houillier told them because he'd been on the phone to Morgan on Monday.

No the OM bought him for a lot from Lyon, maybe 18/20 million euros so double would be feasible in a rumoured Lyon-Spurs move at the time. That was when they were financed by Dreyfuss (Adidas). Bought Remy and Gignac for a total of about 40 million euros. Gignac has started scoring again since Deschamps has gone but Remy is still often injured. -
Funny you should say that Ottery, Morgan had a little dinner party on Monday (a very reserved and wise affair apparently) for 2 players and their wives. Don't know who they were or whether they're prospective signings but maybe he was tasked to win over the Madames.:smug:

10 million for Remy isn't very wise. Not worth half that because he is a total sicknote of late. Then again that happens a lot at Marseille. There's always friction and skullduggery everywhere at the OM. -

they've lined up Debuchy already, so that will shore up their defence a bit. Then they'll go for another front man but their problems won't end until they get Cabaye back. -
I had some Golas, my first screw in stud boots. Remember flashing them to the assembled masses in the changing rooms at Taunton's sports ground up Stoneham Lane. Scored in my first game with them as well, toe punt IIRC, ouch, soon learnt not to toe punt any more.

This is what you need for that

why is Alps getting the blame ? Wasn't him who started the thread.

Had a look at my recording of the game and most of the slipping seemed to occur in a strip of the pitch just past the halfway line towards the Arsenal (first half) end. Maybe it was different in some way. Davis,Morgan,Puch and Ox (twice) all slipped in that band. All wearing the same coloured boots.

I was looking at picture 6.

I like the CB pairing we have already, we need cover not a starter. -
I don't know, I liked the way we played yesterday. Strangely enough NA turned the CM pair around again, Davis replacing Morgan and Morgan having slightly more freedom. Thought it worked pretty well that way because Morgan a weeny bit higher up shut down Arteta and Wilshere pretty effectively. He was also far too much a physical presence for Cazorla who was pretty poor, way below his usual standard.
-
If I recall correctly Morgan and Punch both slipped pretty early on, getting used to the surface perhaps. The studs on Punch's boots don't look all that short on the OS gallery photos. Maybe a different disposition or something like that.
-
seems to me Gaston dishes out more rough stuff than he takes. Lovely intimidation job on Wilshere yesterday. A true Uruguayan.
-
Probably thought it amusing to wind the fans up a bit with his first couple of catches (or not). Did what was necessary when it was necessary. Liked his quick throw outs. If he has a decent game gainst Chelsea we my have resolved the problem. Don't forget he's new to these balls. Seem to take a lot of time to adjust to.
-
Strange that Morgan gives the team talk in the pre-kick off huddle though.

Will be in goal or the Cup game no doubt and we'll see what happens.
