The January 2013 HCDAJFU thread...

Both financial directors probably went to Hogwarts as well, seem to be remarkably able to magic up money. -
They did indeed, sold a Russian bloke though.

Back in the summer I told you all that Pienaar was going back to Everton because I knew it to be a fact. Nonsense, everybody cried, they've no money. As it happens they did, they have loads of the stuff and not much debt relatively speaking, probably less than us. They like to maintain the myth that they have no money, keeps the fans from getting over greedy and prospective players from doing the same.

Anyone West Ham aren't signing? Thought they had enough players already, still with Carroll gone I suppose a few strikers will be necessary for them. -

don't they all. Everyone has to have their own personal Messi these days. Used to be Michael Owen. -

wowser, not exactly a flagship signing is it. West Ham might sell Maiga to Newcastle apparently so they'd be looking for a new 3rd or 4th choice striker -
Gazzaniga was training with the other 2 in this week's video footage. Perhaps he has an injury that stops him from playing matches

I remember indoor fireworks, used to be pretty habitual in most households come Christmas time, probably just got the wrong end of the stick. We've had 3 or 4 firework related deaths in France this New Year, people getting their faces blown off by illegal bangers from Germany and stuff. 3 or 400 hands sewn back on , not to mention the hundreds of cars burnt on new years eve.

Won't beat Chelsea with that shower. It will probably be the usual first 11 except with Jos in for José and just maybe Davis in for Morgan if Cork isn't at RB. Maybe JRod for RL as well. Jose,Morgan and RL on the bench because they've played the most game time all season.

it's just a thing between 2 Italians, you've obviously never been in rush-hour Rome. They'll probably have a pizza and a spot of Barolo later on, best of pals. Would I be right in thinking they're the only 2 italians in Citeh's effective?

I meant talks to herself, but I do know her slightly as it happens, we were neighbours in Font Romeu a couple of times. They have a flat there and we have a time share. -

It happens in sport, never seen any of those weirdo tennispeople shouting at themselves or giving themselves a sharp smack with the racket. Why I often used to talk myself through rough patches in marathons, Paula does it as well. -
NA sounded bit circumspect on Clyne. Expect Cork to continue at RB if we really want to win.

Who we've been linked with for January thread...

But 1.5 million/p.a is only 30K a week, still too much for a bit part player though -
not on Tuesday though. Id like to see us play the same side as Tuesday but with JRod in at the start instead of Lambert, just to see what it brings. Then back to usual against Villa (you have to say that because if not Roger will throw a wobbly ).

Doubt if we'll sign another GK for the future, we have Gazza. Boruc will do until then, hopefully in about 3 years. -
Unless he can find a reason to bring back his binky Davis.

Red Bull was firmly part of French folklore in the 90s early 2000s.
-
Made quite a lot of cash out of Red Bull actually. Used to load up on it in Maxi GB near Brussels every time I was up there and sell it to a local'ish nightclub in Lyon. Nearly every Belgian and Italian trucker was flooding French "boites de nuit" with the stuff. My place was illicitly importing nigh on 1000 cans a week. Consumption wasn't illegal, just general sale. Then again the French are funny about things like that, can't buy Aspirins and fags in supemarkets and filling stations here.
-
Taurine is everywhere in most normal diets, French government tried for years to prove it's nocivity but couldn't. If there was Vietnam vet evidence available to them then they would have seized upon it. They didn't want Red Bull because they're silly old fuddy duddies in the main. Viet Vets will blame anything and everything to embarass the DOD. Most of their problems are psychological(unsurprisingly),drug and clap related though.
-
didn't know Red Bull was banned in the US actually. I've certainly had some there. Took a long time to get approval in France because of the Taurine but as everybody was just getting it from Italy,Switzerland and Belgium and few were dropping down dead they eventually allowed sales of RB.
-
but not on the banned list.
-
what did the Secret Footballer say about all this ?
-
no, known troublemaker and general idiot.
