True but it's a similar arguement all the same,Gaddaffi had always said he was going to stick it out in Libya until the bitter end and it looks as if for once it wasn't just worthless talk.

Strange take on it really, some of our parents stayed put in England when the Germans were trying to kill them, probably because they had no choice but I doubt that there were many who tried to run away to America or Spain or Portugal or even to Ireland.

I don't remember any CO tragedies though, mind you people opened doors and windows in those days, kids played outside 11 hours a day on week-ends and 3 or 4 hours on schoool days. Also there were natural draughts due to less than efficient construction work, they weren't looking to save tuppence here there and everywhere, global warming hadn't been invented and you didn't fear an ultra slim serial killer or a passing python sliding into your house through an open air vent.

there was a piece in some French online magazine the other day about a family with only 11 kids, their child benefit came to over 2000 euros a month already, twice the minimum wage in fact, not to mention housing allowance and what have you.At the end of the day they were probably drawing something like £300 per month per child so with 94 kids in France you'd probably be onabout 28000£ a month, however in India I guess it's a bit less.

hey, I've still got some of those Poppy plates.

Perhaps it's an electric oven!! Also back in the good old days all this boiler servicing just didn't exist, don't remember too many houses exploding or hordes of people being gassed by Carbon Monoxide, we had gas CH when I was a kid, don't remember the boiler being serviced every year though.

Well yes, we've swung from about 30°C to 4°C in about a week.Happens every year,it's one of the big problems of living at about 700 metres altitude.

No-one really knows how much crap from Irak found it's way into Syria before the fall of Saddam and it's not easy to find out.
-
There's that and the fact that the Syrians have something resembling an air defence system.

Cos he cocked up.

Wasn't offside, the ref had already blown, up for something else.
-
He'll not worry unless NATO decide to go and rough him up a bit and that won't happen at any time in the near future.

Full 90 up on the Player now as well, think there's even a 14 day free trial.
-
I've watched Derby-Saints twice now and still think Cork wasn't all that good in that game.

Can't see that it will make much difference, one despot will be instantly replaced by other despots. Move on

Tahar no doubt.

Is not a tachyon a hypothetical particle which by definition must travel faster than light, some thing that must exist( in theory )if you are to concile relativity and quantum field theories? I'm a bit out of date on all that stuff but I'd not heard that the actual existence of tachyons is proven, unless this experiment proves it of course.

No, Cork is on 3 yellows.

Why do rival fans always assume that they have better players than us simply because they've had a few runs out in the EPL and are consequently paid 3 times their worth.I'd doubt if any club in our division really has better players than us overall. We have 6 midfield players who must be the envy of the other 23 clubs,it's just that they aren't greedy bastards who are always looking for a bigger pay cheque elsewhere.

"Attendance" at football matches must be a pretty vague quantity anyway. Who do you count exactly, just paying spectators,or do you count club employees, youth players, assistant coaches, journalists, commentators and what have you? I bet if you counted the actual number of people inside a football stadium at any one time it wouldn't be the official attendance figure.

As Nigel keeps saying this campaign is about the team and not about 1 player. Interesting to note that only Morgan and Ricky have featured (even if it's only for a few minutes) in all 15 of our competitive matches this season. Morgan will probably be due for a rest on Saturday then but Ricky...well no probably not yet.

Do you not think it strange that the lettuce leaf was put into the box after the other elements, anyway with the dressing already in the box the lettuce leaf would be "cooked" by the dressing and become limp and soggy,as such would have difficulty suffocating you.As you're the box it probably means that people keep dumping varied crap on you.

which is coincidence and not irony.

But Barney was training with the others in the last build-up video. He may not be doing any contact work I suppose but if he's running around he can't be too far away. Do I believe?? well actually yes, we'd need another 60 points from 34 games to obtain automatic promotion, Leicester would need about another 70 from 35 so the stats are already on our side.Winning another 20 out of 34 doesn't seem to be a very tall order to me.We could go something like W17,D9,L8 from here and still have a great chance of automatic promotion.

Anyone know how much Doughty is asking? Just to gauge what a NPC club is worth these days really.
