  1. I still think our only problem is the lack of an out and out striker,a quarter chance converter if you like.I just cannot understand why this hasn't been rectified by now.
  2. I guess so and they seem to find it acceptable. I mean TF was on the bench on Tuesday and an injury to a keeper is always a possibility.I thought we had the Arsenal lad for a month, perhaps it was some sort of emergency loan that ended when Forecast came back though.Tis a strange situation, league rules perhaps, then again it could be something that the coach responsible for Arse's reserves or youth team didn't like about our set up, who really knows. We have become so secretive about absolutely everything nowadays that you never really know anything.Perhaps Bart is nearly back to operational fitness.
  3. Although we aren't yet in a situation where we need to win every game.We can probably still afford to lose 2 more, provided one of them isn't Bournemouth.
  4. Plymouth away will be an important game, if ever they find some money to survive until the end of the season and they get a couple of results that may permit them to think that they can still escape relegation then they may be a problem for us.don't fancy our chances at either Rochdale or Orient anyway, 2 draws there I think. Brighton we'll lose unless we get a loan striker..which we won't. Bournemouth...now this is the key game.At the moment we can go ahead of them on goal difference (at least +4) should we win the games we have in hand on them, but if they can still stay ahead of us anyway they may play for a draw and we know that they can defend at Dean Court. Of our home games the only one I fear is Sheffield Wednesday, they should be doing better than they have been of late and will probably click eventually, they also looked difficult to break down against Bournemouth. My projection? Home: 5 wins and 2 draws 17 points Away 3 wins and 3 draws,1 defeat thus leaving Bournemouth being the all important decider.
  5. Still think second myself but may have to revise this once the real injury situation and the true card count become evident. For instance if we had to ever play Forecast because Bart is out long/medium term and we ever end up with a CM pairing of Chaplow/Gobern then I'd have to revise my opinion.
  6. Perhaps because our in house replacement was utterly useless and still is.When we get rid of Wilkins it will be a great occasion for SFC. In my opinion we need to get shot of Wilkins and Les Reed and see what happens.
  7. Lallana and Chaplow in CM would be an absolute disaster.I know you're a friend of Adam's but please don't suggest this any more. Lallana and Hammond maybe but Chaplow is too bad in the tackle, too poor in ball control and too hit and miss for this ever to be an option.Should we ever do this we will be on the end of one of the biggest hidings we have ever had, mark my words.
  8. leftback....say no more squire,say no more
  9. A last passing thought on last night....it's a pity Crosby p*ssed off Jason Puncheon isn't it.Puncheon or N'Guessan ...you decide. Can we recall Puncheon?? I guess not.
  10. Rickie seems to fancy himself as some sort of advanced midfielder these days it would seem.If you read TUI he got regally slagged off for his performance last night.
  11. Shea must be about 6th in the pecking order at Arse. Can't understand why he's gone back, unless he's absolutely useless of course, the very same reason as Forecast came back from Eastbourne .
  12. What they lost to Ireland ? How shamemaking would that be.
  13. Wasn't supposed to play at all if you believe the post match comments attributed to Adkins in the Echo. I hope we aren't going down injection road with him to keep him on the pitch at all costs. That's hardly nurturing is it.Said last week that we're burning him out and if he's to play whilst injured then we need to rethink all that.
  14. Plus with the shedload of cash that they'll have made from the FA Cup they could probably afford to tell us to f*ck off.
  15. Colchester will be fancying their chances of a play-off place now. The result will depend on who we have fit and who we don't.
  16. Chaplow was booked as he usually is. That's 6 yellows in about what 18/20 games.
  17. Right I've had a look about a bit and the BBC,Sky,Sporting Life etc all have Hammond as being booked for dissent and not Lallana. What's right and what's wrong I just couldn't venture to guess but as it stands I wouldn't be all surprised to find that Deano is on 9 yellow cards.
  18. those that insist that promotion is essential need to win 3 times as many as they lose, all season long.
  19. The only thing that NA hasn't been able to do is acquire a clinical striker. It's been our problem for the entire season.True we've scored a lot of goals on occasions but we've always been missing that one thing when the going has got tough.Lambert isn't the sort of bloke who's going to pick up a ball 40 yards out,run with it and slot it past the keeper from 18 yards(remember Channon people?) neither is Barnard. They aren't the sort of Gyan or Torres strikers either who are just going to connect effortlessly with a ball drifting about in the 18 yard box and drill it inside the post or under the bar. We've needed a clinical striker all season, starting with the first game.
  20. Depends, could be just bruising and sinovial fluid.Could be cartilage damage though, they can clear that up pretty quickly.
  21. Hammond seems to have somewhere between 8 and 9 bookings. If you count back to his one match suspension he's had 3 since then but the question seems to be whether he was booked last night or not. I guess you've got to trust our OS on that rather than the BBC and say it was Lallana. So Deano has 8 bookings so far. The OS has always been wrong because of a booking in the JPT game. When he was suspended the OS stats still had him on 4. Since his suspension on 23rd October Deano seems to have been booked against Brentford,Exeter and Hartlepool. If he wasn't booked last night he's on 8 if he was he's on 9 and one more will see him cop a 2 match suspension. Chappers is getting a card every other game these days and will only just make it to the amnesty if he doesn't calm it a bit.
  22. I'm not sure that finishing in the top 6 is the objective though.I just don't fancy facing Huddersfield,Peterborough or even Bournemouth in a one off match for promotion. We'll probably be without Morgan,we have no back-up for Davis and a player like CMS is always odds on to tear us apart. We should have signed that young man, that we didn't tells me that we didn't have the money to bring the deal about.
  23. On the look out for one are we? might be a better investment than TSW on match days.
  24. Quite right too, why pay when you can freeload on a system funded by others. Europe's disease which now seems to spreading to the whole of the planet.
