why would they loan us one of their first teamers when they're already in desperate straights?
-
Peterborough have a few hard games left as do we. I think MK Dons,Huddersfield,Orient and even Bournemouth may well trouble them still. With their potent attack they can crush anyone on their day but it may not always be their day.Saints and Posh have an equal number of tricky games left and it's possible second place depends on the outcome of these, particularly the games against MK Dons and Orient for both sides. We have to play Brighton they've got Huddersfield so it's about even steven really.

Speaking of injuries, what's the score with Harding and Dickson now?
-
There are some ratings on the Ugly as usual, couldn't say how reliable they are though because it's a composite system.Someone who didn't go to the match could put in some entirely duff scores and screw it up completely.

Bournemouth 1 - 3 Saints - Post Match Reaction
Window Cleaner replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Bournemouth won't go up now, might not even make the play-offs,today's result will be utterly deflating for them plus they've a few tough games ahead of them in their last 10. -
is there not a free offer though?
-
Out for "a little bit" and "we've got to take it game by game with him" Pretty cryptic there from NA.

I thought TR,OR and CR were Southampton registrations.Old Mayor's car used to be TR 1

Don't we have some sort of new deal or other with the local Mercedes dealership to supply vehicles to the club and give us the use of a couple of mini-buses for free. It's a local thing though and not a shirt sponsor.
-
I really doubt that it will be any major company or group of companies. If you look at popular football sponsors few of them are major household names.Obscure online betting, gulf state airlines, local vehicle dealerships, one derelict building society come bank. Where are the high street names, banks, major insurance brands? Apart from a few rare examples of clubs with global fansbases they are non-existent so I think we can rule out Ferrari,Fiat,Mercedes Benz,Alitalia,HSBC and companies of that ilk. It will be local or local'ish.

But then again you know nothing whatsoever about the financial structure of the club or the Mali group or the heirs of M Liebherr. You are making suppositions as am I.I would think that some loan interest to be written off against tax would be highly desirable rather than spending capital for structural improvements.
-
Liebherr isn't running the club any more, we know that by his own admission that Cortese is autonomous.

Perhaps we got a loan

but was not Ox's goal from a wicked deflection, perhaps they judge the original effort to be not on target. -
Must have done it wrong then,Orient will definitely replace MK Dons in the final top 6,you only need to look at their form since 1st January to know that.Haven't lost since that day,2 points a game and 4 games in hand on Franchise FC.

Has anyone got a spare ticket for bournemouth?
Window Cleaner replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
that would certainly explain as to why(or not) there were more than 1322 ST holders with 10 away games or more on the counter. -

I thought the tickets were awarded by a sort of lottery to those who applied in writing.About 1/9 or 1/10 got lucky. However it would seem that those who applied for multiple tickets (because they have several STs in the family etc etc) changed even those odds. If a say 8 ticket applicant got lucky it reduces the chances for everyone else by quite a bit. At the end of the day you probably had bout a 1/12 chance of a ticket from SFC.Although with 10 away games it's a bit strange as the system seemed to be biased towards that. We've played what 16 away games so far so that there are that number of people having attended more than 10 is pretty amazing, although averaging it out for multiple applications might be well beneficial to those who have only attended 3 or 4 away games accompanied by some who've been to 12 or 15. -
Current form against Carlisle,Walsall,Yeovil,Swindon etc has nothing to do with games between top teams though. You might have taken 12 from 15 against bottom of the table rabble but it doesn't mean you're going to crap on Rochdale or Orient now does it.These predictions never take form against sides above/below into account. Bad use of stats really.

Ah right quiet as in lack of commercial activity rather than a silent environment....no then, but it's awfully silent most of the time.
-
Gift points for everybody then. I'd say it's more likely down to Leyton Orient and Bournemouth. The matches that will decide 2nd place are Orient-Saints,Peterborough -Orient and of course Bompey-Saints and Posh-Bompey.Huddersfield could profit from all of these, our game against Brighton will be important as well.I don't think any of the others have to play Brighton at the Withendean.A bad result there could just wipe out our game in hand over Posh.

looks more like Alain Prost

Strange that with the demand for tickets so high and the number available so few that the 2 clubs haven't organised a big screen retransmission somewhere or other. They'd probably get 10K at St Mary's at 3£/4£ a go -
Although I for one am perfectly content with a 3-0 win however it was obtained. For me the only important thing is getting out of the 3rd division this season and then moving on to higher things. Saturday will be the big test of the season,we can play ugly as you like because for the next 13 games winning is all that counts. However I expect a few of the upcoming matches to be much sterner tests that the abysmal Yeovil.

you just need practice,it's like riding a bike, you need trainer wheels at first though.
