Great game. Players seem a lot happier and Adkins is gettting the best out of them i.e. Punch getting his confidence back which is blatently obvious from recent performances. Lambert looking a lot fitter too. The team seems to be a lot more flexible as well , under Pardew we were far too one dimensional. Cap that with an awesome display by Cortese's inspired signing Guly and things are looking good.

Thoroughly enjoyed the series. But was bothered by the easily rectified inaccuracies for example some of the phrases "move on" , "whatever" never used back then and the endless "high-fiving" and "man-hugging". Still look forward to This Is England 90 though...

I would imagine they are leaving to start up a NICE WORTHY Saints Forum where everyone will agree.They will have endless debates about the best Saints shirt in the last 30 years or programme designs that sort of thing.....................

Sure he was at the game ? We played with width anytime any of the players drifted in Adkins was shouting at them so they had no choice ! Lallana added creativity too. I am convinced we could have gone on to score more goals but it seemed Adkins opted for controlling the game. Some will whinge that we didnt score from open play but it was a thoroughly professional performance and we are only going to get better. Well done Cortese for giving Pardew the heave ho and for choosing NA.

I have already said on this thread the MO p******* comment was ill judged and over the top but I still stand by my anger at Saints "legends" using a charity function to snipe at the club. My annoyance has built up too i.e. Matty making "unhelpful" comments on Skys coverage of the JPT Final , also his comments recently on Talksport theres loads of other examples. I will also repeat my belief that Lawrie was the best manager we ever had and of course MLT as a genius player , all I can say about Mike Osman is he is not *cough* one of my favorite comedians. Bottom line is club over legends anytime and I am completely 100% behind the Club, Cortese and Adkins.

He was criticised when Hampshire signed him for the T20.Some fans suggested he would be another overseas freeloader but he proved them wrong. Hope hes back next season.

There was a knuckle head sat behind me yesterday (you know the type mid-thirties lives with his mum ,saints shirt tucked into his jogging bottoms ,beer gut etc. ) the first touch Puncheon had he started laying into him.
