Um Pahars "great poster" ! Hilarious ! The reason he cleared off was because he was busted. He liked to portray himself as ITK and a voice of reason when in fact he was neither. He knew no more than anyone else and was another agenda laden "I wantafanontheboard" delusional knob.
I have already said on this thread the MO p******* comment was ill judged and over the top but I still stand by my anger at Saints "legends" using a charity function to snipe at the club. My annoyance has built up too i.e. Matty making "unhelpful" comments on Skys coverage of the JPT Final , also his comments recently on Talksport theres loads of other examples.
I will also repeat my belief that Lawrie was the best manager we ever had and of course MLT as a genius player , all I can say about Mike Osman is he is not *cough* one of my favorite comedians.
Bottom line is club over legends anytime and I am completely 100% behind the Club, Cortese and Adkins.
He was criticised when Hampshire signed him for the T20.Some fans suggested he would be another overseas freeloader but he proved them wrong. Hope hes back next season.
There was a knuckle head sat behind me yesterday (you know the type mid-thirties lives with his mum ,saints shirt tucked into his jogging bottoms ,beer gut etc. ) the first touch Puncheon had he started laying into him. I go to a game looking forward to a Saints win. I presume these guys go to a game looking forward to slagging Puncheon off. Maybe it makes them feel better about themselves .
Stop thinking like that ! We need some wrist-slashing , bed-wetting over-reaction. Hysteria , panic , scape-goating (suggestions:Cortese, Puncheon, Adkins.). None of this lookatthebiggerpicture grown up nonsense !
Poor first half but came out for second with intent. Must have been a good half-time talk. Substitutions worked. If it wasnt for thier keeper we would have scored. Not to mention at least one hand-ball that should have been a penalty for us. Players bar Lambert looked fitter and more up for it. I think the Adkins effect is starting to work. I dunno what was going on with Pardew and the players but he was obviously dragging down team morale.
Listened to the Hammond interview on the way home and I thought he made a telling comment on the players were training "with a smile on thier faces again".
