Just been told, first whispers of this deal were coming out and reaching some journalists on Thursday. Was expected to be in paper tomorrow but Nixon has gone early with it. Don't know anything about this guy but judging by the videos, he looks a more suitable Ramirez (if you know what I mean). Seems to have that touch of technical ability but knows when enough is enough and seems to be productive with the ball. Also looks incredibly well suited to the English game. Tall, strong, good with his feet. 41 goals in 196 games (approx) for Bremen from midfield/wide is a pretty good return. I'm quite excited but we all know not to judge on YouTube videos.

Noticed this for a long long time. Been a different guy doing pre match warm ups and only recently has his name gone from the Saints site. On paper yes, but out of those teams, we failed to beat 4 of the 6 last season so potentially one of the hardest starts if you put it that way.

I said it after the Norwich game and got slated.... He DOES NOT suit our system. We are just forcing ourselves to play him due to the England call up etc etc. No goals from him in open play this season, and only 2/3 from his last 10 goals (I think that's the stat I researched after the Norwich game) and he doesn't even look at all threatening.
