To be honest, I don't think it would've got to the medical stage without him saying Yes I want to join Southampton and Yes I am happy with the contract offered. Gonna be a long day ahead!!
-
@Zoggers87: @LT_Suzanne do you understand that he has agreed terms on a move? @LT_Suzanne: @Zoggers87 Hi Charlie, yes, it's expected today. Will post a link to full story on our website as soon as poss. Can't say more than that yet

I trust her more than I do Nixon to be honest!

Once you've seen the actual design I definitely feel that it is a grower and many people will end up liking it and purchasing it. Definitely sets us apart from the rest of the division.

Little piece in the Mail's 'The Insider' section today. Simon Jones rates the deal at a 3/5 which means there is a pretty good chance it could happen http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2155386/Transfer-latest-Arsenal-eye-Salomon-Rondon-Manchester-United-monitor-Viktor-Fischer.html

Exactly what I was thinking. Just stands out as an arrogant T0ss3r like you say.

Im only interested to see which journalist is correct so that we can discount any rumours / reports from them in the future. Its hardly as if I'm on my way up to the arrivals lounge to follow them around is it?
-
Fair point. Just checked, 1 is due tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning at Manchester Airport. This ties in with the reports from the Burnley express about him returning tomorrow.
-
It wouldn't surprise me. Along with Cork. I'd say they'd both stand a pretty good chance. Both players under the age of 23.

Similar to the point I was getting at. If he loves the north that much, can't he just move back up there in 10 / 12 or so years time when his career is over. But whilst he's in football, he needs to progress and I think that Burnley to Saints (Mid table Champ to Prem) is quite a progression that I don't think even I'd turn down. This could be a big stepping stone in his career. Whilst here, he COULD bang in 15 - 20 goals for the next couple of seasons, potential Eng call up, move to a big club possibly further back up north on more money etc etc. Even with the rose tinted glasses on, I think the potential move to us is a massive chance / opportunity in his career that he can't possibly pass up.

Well depending who you believe, a flight from Cancun arrived at Gatwick this morning at 8:36. Could he have been on that flight?

After the initial statement and news a month or so ago about the club changing from Blue to Red to please the Malaysian owners, nearly all Cardiff fans went against the idea and kicked up big time! The board said that: However..... today, they've released a statement saying that they are now going ahead with plans to rebrand the club from Blue to Red! This has begun with a new club crest! and a new Red home kit and blue away kit! How gutted and ****ed off would you be if Saints rebranded from Red to Blue?! Have a bit of sympathy for the Cardiff fans. Some Cardiff Fans' Views:

I was thinking that but her comment about "keep checking marketing material" confused me until I saw the Lille Kit Launch and realised that they had females modelling the kit in different surroundings and this may be what she was doing for our launch? As you can see on the link below, there is "marketing material" such as a video and a wallpaper so who knows? http://www.umbro.com/en-gb/features/lille-osc

I agree. I think they're waiting for him to get back, sit him down and play the DVD. Add in a couple of motivational speeches and really sell the club! Every player who has signed for us has always commented about how the Chairman and the manager sold the club to them with the vision and ambition. This will always work in our favour in a lot of potential deals.

This deals getting pretty pathetic now. Original Tweet to Chris Boden, Chief Football Writer at the Burnley Express. I then get a response... So, Nixon says Jay is back Wednesday and Boden says he returns on Thursday? Seems nobody knows!!
-
Another Nixon update: He now understands that there is a deadline for Thursday and that Jay is on holiday until Wednesday meaning that he'll have a day to get it sorted and signed. Even Nixon is getting bored of this deal now!
-
It's similar. But I'm saying no more.
-
You're gonna be disappointed then!
-
So going on latest info, I've made the stripes slightly thinner.
-
Another update AmandaRushforth: @danbsfc im not a football fan so unfortunately i paid little attention to the kit details, but its red with THIN white stripes, maybe 5/6? AmandaRushforth: @danbsfc i did a shoot for them, but i have no idea when its coming out.... it was a cool concept tho, very english pride AmandaRushforth: @danbsfc im sure there were more details to the white kit, but not the same way the red one had stripes, so i didnt notice... sorry

I think we should look to sign Butland & Gordon - not one or the other. As David In Sweden said, Gordon can be the experienced backup / rival ready to step in if called upon as Kelvin will probably retire in 2/3 years and by that point, Gordon will be 31/32 so he'll be first choice for a few more years with Butland learning and being the backup / rival ready to step in for him if necessary. By that point, we'll have another younger keeper in and the cycle continues etc. -
Quick update: According to Nixon, our 'rival' is yet to bid. He hopes the deal doesn't drag on and would possibly encourage others to join if Jay does.
-
Anyway, give us a clue please? Are the stripes thinner or thicker? Sleeve colour? Collar colour / style?
