Those flashes of potential have been in far shorter supply with Redmond. Mané, unlike Redmond, also came to a new league and faced s steeper curve which was a mitigating factor. Don't get me wrong. I've seen quality from Redmond, so don't buy all the criticism and think he'll become a useful player. On the other hand, I've seen enough of him from his Brum and Norwich days to have a sense of where his ceiling is. If he has a career like Aaron Lennon for instance, he will have done very well.
