What are you on about? The deadline is April 12. Dropping Victor to the bench had nothing to do with the looming ban. It was a tactical decision that RK got wrong but, to his credit, he had the flexibility and humility to change things relatively early on.

Guess you've never heard of noncompete clauses (which provide employers some time-limited protection).

There's zero correlation. Next.

Top 5 schools ... no, your old schools ...

BTEC in catering at my local college. (well according to Jeff/DPS) -
Gob run. Our playground was elevated, with a long metal verander overlooking a narrow alleyway. Whenever the ball was kicked (football) or hit (cricket) into the alley, the offender would have to go down and fetch it. Depending on the numbers, people would line up, gobbing and tipping maxpaxes on whoever was running the gauntlet that day.

Quick question: were you at the game?

The world is more complicated, I assure you. Politics is ultimately a vocation where nonmonetary factors matter more. Higher pay is not irrelevant but would arguably make less of a difference to the size of the talent pool than other interventions: changing the prestige/perception of politicians, even the role of government; increasing the influence of ordinary MPs on policymaking; lessening the grip of parties that set the terms of who goes into politics and place loyalty and long apprenticeships above competence, among other things.

You wildly overstate the impact that private sector pay has on whether people go into politics.

Spawns c**ts. Swansea didn't capitalise when they needed to.

Davis had a relatively poor game today, better defensively than offensively. Uncharacteristically gave the ball away. And played much more narrow than in a conventional 4-4-2. Saying that, Clyne had tons of space by himself down our right and looked a threat whenever he took a player on. The DMs could have released him a bit earlier; our play was a bit lopsided down the left.

Better but nowhere near the OP's assessment. Would have probably subbed him earlier.

Tadic away at the scousers.

Agree to an extent but one CM has always dropped deep to collect the ball. The fact that TA might bring the ball up a few more yards has very little bearing on whether the midfielders make runs into the box or go beyond Pelle. If anything, TA helps our fullbacks more. And as opposing teams have men behind the ball, the CMs have been much further up the pitch anyway. Arguably the position of our CMs owes more to conservatism and the recognition over the season that we don't need to open ourselves up to win games. After all, many of Morgan and Vic's goals came when TA wasn't playing and we were still working out an identity and formula for winning games. Now teams are learning to stifle us, it can be hard for the CMs suddenly to change gear, as Morgan pointed out.

It was a contested header, not a clean clearance. Anyway Gardos was just as, if not more at fault for the goal. He dropped off Berahino in the area, gormlessly ballwatching such that he was caught on his heels when the ball came back out. No excuses as there was nobody else in the danger area to pick up or worry about, except Ideye who was covered by Fonte.

If you're talking about London Saints, it's Mick Strickland. London Saints is still going strong but revolves principally around away games (useful for cheap train tickets). It has a social side but it's pretty crusty and irregular (e.g. a get together at the end of the season as well as other activities in the summer but theyre only for a hardened few who go back years). In other words, there's a niche if saints fans living in the smoke just want to meet up and watch a game in the pub.

I had you and pete down as peas in a pod - inexplicably exasperated and angry most of the time.

You mean a wastrel heir, a possible cast member for Made in Zurich?

Kat's in her mid 30s. Unless she was banged up nice and young, I can't see it.

Just wondering: you've been less like self-styled hardman (devil's advocate in your words) and more like hectoring bore these past few days. Something seems to be itching away. Am good, thanks. Earlier, got a long line of blacks and greens in my packet of fruit pastilles.

Everything OK? You seem a bit twitchy, sand up your bum again?

Depends who it is but not sure paying a Morgan big money would necessarily alienate others. You see it in other sports that operate a wage cap: if a player has proved his worth to the team and that's the price necessary to keep him and the team competitive, then fair enough: you 'pay the man'. What's politically tricky, rather, is paying new signings, outsiders disproportionately more money, even if they may be worth it.

Yep, still don't know whether we viewed him primarily as a LB or CB, whether we would have bought him in lieu of Bertrand or Gardos.
