Not a bad shout but would need a pacier CB to partner him.

If only, my autocorrect can learn the accent aigu

Small Fry playing another blinder I see.

Don't see what's particularly controversial about the statement, especially as the context is probably missing. Quite possible that the player's name was brought up by the journo, prompting a specific response. Players names are thrown around this way all the time. Either way, how can there be tapping up if the club has followed all the proper channels/procedures behind the scenes. The only error is the naievity of discussing confidential matters in public. In short, the OP has made a massive tit of himself yet again - first in using a hopelessly irrelevant example to attempt to expose mongboard hypocrisy and two in failing to get the angry, swivel-eyed response he was hoping. Bless his little cotton socks for trying though.

Why? Agree a team wouldn't pay full whack for the player; but a team might look to make a lower offer, effectively pricing in the injury so that if the player makes a full recovery, they are quids in.

Sky Sources: New 5 Year Contract offered to Jay Rodriguez
shurlock replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
What does this even mean? Hodgson told the media that England shouldn't be in the WC if it wasn't aiming to win it. Lofty ambitions is part and parcel of sport. Even now the new regime is talking about Europe while MP is aiming for the title at Spurs. Some of the utter drivel on this site suggests posters are wet-behind-the-ears and have only taken up following football. That or they are disingenuous. Now if anyone can point to specific, quasi-contractual promises, then that's a different matter. But they can't and won't. Ultimately, the players who joined knew full well the course we were taking -namely that we weren't going to break the bank to make progress and that we were going to integrate youth, even if it sacrificed a degree of short-run success. By definition, players know what side their bread is buttered on -contrary to dullards claims on here, so could work through the implications of what this approach was realistically likely to achieve and not. Nobody was hoodwinked about these constraints. Regardless they joined. The rest, including talk of CL football, is frankly irrelevant. -
Spot on. Would be a big loss if we move away from the high intensity, pressing game.
-
It will, though these are English players - some of whom have international caps and/or been hyped up; yet their technique fails them. More an observation about the state of the national game than Tottenham's strength.
-
Watching the likes of Dawson, Rose and Naughton try and follow MP's instructions to play out from the back and repeatedly f**k things up. No wonder English football is so s**t.

Perhaps, you could articulate what a 'credible and aspirational' vision looks like then after Ralphy made you look a royal tit. By the way, it's spelt situation.
-
Think what differentiated Bale and Shaw who could be pretty one footed at times were their power and acceleration, the ability to go past a man. For instance, Chambers is very cultured and assured in possession but doesn't have that change of pace. How about Targett?

Is he being sold to West Ham?

The stench is still unshakeable.

It's a more general observation - in this particular case, I agree Sharp is simply making up the numbers and keeping the seat warm till others return from holiday/international duty.
-
You get even more MLG points if you attempt to defend the indefensible. Brown-nosing and white-washing whatever the club does is increasingly a must.
-
That's not the point - it's whether it makes sense to squeeze Sharp into midfield.

Saints Happy, Clappy, Chappy (No bed wetters allowed)

Are jizz cocks the new happy clappers? -
Think 'sensitive' is nothing more mysterious than the fact that parties are some way off reaching an agreement - contrast this with the Pelle/Tadic situations where deals were likely to happen, just that a few wrinkles around terms/fee had to be ironed out.

So instead of wetting the bed, you whip it out and start jizzing in public. Nice one. -
See Connor Wickham has turned down a new contract at Sunderland.

Perhaps a simple response to why the stats you mention are anymore exempt from the fact that the Eredivisie is a poor league - and why we should attach anymore significance to them. My two pennies on the subject are on the other page

With patter and originality like that, am sure the Guardianistas love you on Soulmates.
