  1. I hope they stay up - I was born in Brighton (nearly 50 years ago - gulp). Moved to Soton when I was 4, so been a Saint for as long as I remember, but I look out for their fortunes each week. They've actually had some good results this season, but if you think the CCC has some weird results, L1 tends to throw up even weirder ones. Unless you're Leicester and have a cracking manager, then you just expect to win most games. )-:
  2. Amazingly, I find myself thinking that Prutton and J Wright would have been better players than the rubbish we've had to experience all season - e.g. in midfield...namely Wotton, Schneiderlin, Surman and McGoldrick. In L1 I would have Prutton back as one of the first names on the team sheet - he truly loved the club and had bags of passion...all the attributes everyone on here has been moaning about this season AND last! (Yes, I know McD is our so called top scorer, but thats because someone else is doing all the donkey work for him - he doesn't put in a full shift in attack and doesn't put in a full shift in midfield, so effectively we lose a player every game. In a 4-4-2 system McD would not get a game even in L1, but I suspect he will be our lone striker if Wotte has his way.)
  3. While I understand your feelings and indeed feel largely the same way, I don't think the majority of the blame can be heaped on the players. For a start the Chairman appoints the manager and look at the dross the team have been presented with this season in JP and Wotte. So the Chairman takes a lot blame. And that's in the background of the team working hard to turn things around last season for a young up and coming English manager in Pearson. JP and Wotte have then decided to persist in a system of football that does not suit the squad - like processing a marshmellow through a cheese grater. In summary, the players are playing the system the manager instructs them to use, by a manager/coaching team installed by the Chairman. So it's not JUST the players. Indeed I would lay odds that a better manager would got more out of the squad.
  4. Err, I think that's been the case for at least two seasons now.
  5. Oh dear - look at the names being put forward...this is the bit that is so, so sickening. Saints fans placing the hopes of the future in players from the likes of Peterborough and Doncaster like they were the crown jewels. Stupert Lowe really has destroyed us... what a good job he has done too... we're on our knees. I am more of a mind to think about what must be achieved with what is here. Wotte and his 'team' must go....even Killer. The players I would try very hard to keep are as follows... Davis, Saga, Perry...possibly Size. That's it.
  6. Now we can stop worrying about relegation (or indeed hoping for survival) because I think the clubs fate is sealed. Trouble is, I now fear strongly that potential serious investors will walk away - there is so little to invest in now. The club is a shell of its former self...when the players that walk go, who will be left? If Woggy was still here he might be in line for a game.
  7. Well that's it - the team deserve to go down - the fans don't. But down we will go make no mistake - this squad and the managerial insistance on a stupid alien system of play week in week out regardless. Utter rubbish. Numb to it all....if the club folded it would allow me to move on...at the moment I feel trapped in a prison of despair. If any tosser comes on here and tries to claim Lowe did any good at this club, they should hang their heads in shame - he has killed the club.
  8. Exactly - why not put on Liptak up front - he reverts to defender when we go in front? Is that TOO easy for you Wotte? Jeez - what a complete prat.
  9. Weds inviting pressure - he ho, we will undoubtedly ignore this.
  10. Get Saga on now Wotte you stupid little man. It doesn't matter who take off - they're all crap.
  11. I think TNF the offer was to invest £2m IF Lowe and Wilde offered the same amount of money. They did not. So why should Crouch act on his own? He clearly should not, especially when Lowe and Wilde were in power and he was not. So the big question is, why did Lowe and Wilde not match Crouch's offer in the club's hour of need??? Crouch has shown how committed he is to SFC in the past many times, but also since admin has put in £50k of his own money. Now where are Lowe and Wilde? Where is their money after taking so much out? There's one major villian in the demise of SFC and its name is Lowe.
  12. I think we did that in 1st half. He has not got a f*cking clue...he should know by now that a strong midfield will walk all over a midfield diamond formation that includes a prancing lazy forward in McGoldrick and two clapped out wingers that NEVER run to the byline. Couple that with an immobile dinosaur in Wotton who has no idea how to pass and what you have is a disaster waiting to happen.
  13. Well, I admire your blind optimism, but you clearly have no inkling how very close to complete oblivion this club is. This result could put us down, which in turn could change any hope of ANY decent investment. We really are 45 minutes (or so) away from potential complete disaster IMO. The team and managerial combination is useless - as much as we all want a fairytale ending to a nightmare season, the players and management of the team have been collectively dreadful. But there are a number that will be gone in the summer. Where will the money come from to invest in new players that will do any better? It is bleak!
  14. For crying out loud Saints - what do you do in training FFS?!?! This is so ****e.
  15. We're just not threatening their goal ATALL. We are dead if this carries on. Really and truly time is running out for the club...45 minutes between survival and club going down the drain.
  16. Why is it that I always feel like the other side is always more likely to score than us? This feeling is something that has only been with me this season since the Dutchmen have been here. I am sick of it.
  17. ****ing wake up you useless bunch of ****s!!!!
  18. Size has another mare of a game just when we need everyone to put a full shift in.
  19. Tuguy gone over to the left. Why don't we try to change things around if they're not working? Oh FFS. That's it....over and out.
  20. Hi All - sounds like Saints are not getting a look in - no chances on goal.
  21. You are wrong I'm afraid. MF had 34-36 interested parties - that's persons or groups that expressed an interest and got sent information packs. That does not mean all of those parties then went on to express further interest and indeed offered up sufficient evidence of funds etc. To the best of my knowledge that information has not been released by MF and there may be a good reason for that. So in short, I would expect a fraction - perhaps around 5 - representing serious bidders. I would expect initial discussions to have taken place already with all of these. So, my thoughts are that whoever is in the running is not going to shell out until end of season and the clubs league status is known. What that means in turn is the sword of Damacles will be hanging over the club until the end of May.
  22. Perhaps the biggest indicator to date that the Salz team are leading the field? I for one would be quite pleased with this as a result, but of course as always the proof of the pudding... For those that doubt the 'Lowe effect', how do you explain a rise of 10k on the gate after he and Wilde have left? I know of too many people who are returning now they've gone for this to be coincidence. The club would not have been sold all the while Lowe's PLC was in place...that's why the enlightened few realised that administration was the only way out, unpalatable as that may seem. I remember my dear Mum telling me as a kid that the medicine tasted bad because it was doing me some good. Definately a case of no pain, no gain.
  23. Does this make no sense whatsoever, or am I loosing my ability to translate gobbledegook?!?
  24. I think I would rather the City Council owned the stadium TBH than some private individual. The Council are responsible to the people of the City whereas this would not be the case for a private owner who would have the right to lease it out to whoever wanted it...e.g. P*mpey while their shed is rotated.
  25. Except its about 1/4 of the size of the one at SMS surely and takes batteries!?
