Oh dear - we're so bad in this country right? Try getting anything done in mainland Europe during August, then tell me we're the worst! lol

Good job NickG

Whoever it is, sounds like a complete plank.

Got proof of that have you? If not, I suggest you take your foot out of your mouth and start thinking a little before spouting rubbish. I cannot believe how small minded some fans are about this - LC has lost £1.6m and he still works his socks off to save the club! And I know for a FACT that it's because he loves his football and loves the club. What are YOU doing to save the club?!
-
What an utterly pathetic and totally untrue statement. How about they're trying to save the club? Is that too hard to understand?! Just tell me what ill begotten gains Crouch has received?!? He bought his shares - they were not gifted, stolen or gained from some murky deal. He worked for nothing whilst in the Chair at SMS - has not taken millions out of the club to feather his nest, unlike some. Sorry Art - I considered you as a once respected poster on here, but the drivel you have spouted there has shown you up as complete numpty. :smt017

The simple summary is that we could do worse than Sounness, but we could also possibly do better. At the end of the day, its the evening - however, its a stormy evening for Saints and any port in a storm comes to mind.

Terrible performance from the team - I hope Wotte knows how to give them a f*cking good boll*cking after that. Size had a mare of game. Davis and Perry were fantastic. We had a child at RB - should have put Liptak at CB and Perry in at RB. McGoldrick got totally lost in the game after he scored. Lallana looks SO unfit I think at 49 I could outrun him over 100yds. No decent passing of the ball - no creativity - no breaking to the byline. Today reminded me of the rubbish we used to see when JP was in charge and confirms to me that Wotte - unfortunately - is not the man for this club and certainly not the man to get us out of League One, because that's where we're headed for certain based on today IMO.

Alpine is right - fact is there are some of us that realised that while administration was a terrible option to face, the club was so far gone (and in so many ways) it was the ONLY way to realistically get rid of the old guard and usher in the new. Tough pill to swallow, but sometimes the old adages of "no pain no gain" and "one step back, two steps forward" can be oh so true. Lets not gloat though Alps - now is not the time - we need to see it happen and stay in this awful division first.

LC has put so much more into this club than his shares, the statue and his personal attendance! What about all the ball, player and match sponsorships, the two boxes he hires and his time which he gave up free? There's probably more. I know Leon and he is a true passionate Saints supporter who succeeds in his various ventures because he puts his all into whatever he is involved in. In terms of a fan with executive level presence at the club, we could do a lot worse I promise you. And incidentally, anyone who thinks LC did a bad job appointing Dodd best remember that this was only a temporary placement until a suitable candidate was found. It's called not taking a knee-jerk action and getting a decision right first time. Leon did that fully when he finally found and then appointed Pearson.

Ah, I wonder whether Rupes and Mike the slug will be coming back for more than Jacksons Farm. What about SMS itself? It's propery afterall and they're both into that kinda thing. Perhaps Lowe wants to re-develop SMS as retirement homes in a bizarre 'reverse take-over' type affair!!! LOL

done...

Look I don't want to see Saints die, but neither do I want another version of the PLC and fragmenting share ownership in this manner is just that in my book. It's a final option perhaps and one that I could support purely as that.
-
Hasn't got any money?!?! I think at the very least, you've managed to exagerate that claim! And anyway, LC might just have a consortium lined up for the SFC Ltd. And Lowe and Wilde might just have one lined up to buy SMS Ltd. Who knows - its all speculation at the moment.
-
Not unless a 'deal' was done prior to todays announcement (remembering that we have NOT YET entered administration). :smt017
-
Ah Art - nice to see you post again. Even though it's a post that sets out what could well be a horribly prophetic comment. I was suggesting some months ago that the PLC could go into admin and the club could be saved, although I really did not think that Lowe would stay on. Now I am of a mind that Lowe and Wilde will take SMS Ltd on and perhaps a new group possibly involving Leon will buy the club. Property for the property men and football club for the passionate Saints man. Seems entirely plausible to me.

Excellent post...a voice of reason.

If this is an April fool, someone needs to be strung up for what must be the most inappropriate joke in the history of rubbish jokes.
-
Well said - got it in a nutshell.
-
Perhaps they are just underwriting the debt until a new buyer can be found. Perhaps its actually not £23m - it could be a lot less in the current climate for obvious reasons. SMS is not much good without SFC is it?
-
Nah, let's give 'em another chance - who knows, Lowe might put in a bit of his own money, appoint a decent manager, keep away from the changing room and training ground, find new investment etc. And then there's always the f-ing world-class catering to save us....oh.
-
Oh dear, the inevitable seems to have finally happened. Well done Lowe and Wilde, you have managed to finally almost kill off the club...what a complete failure both of you really are (and your other cronies). Leave the club and NEVER come back.
-
I can confirm that I heard Mark Dennis also on RH state that he has heard from a "massive" source at the club that we struggled to pay wages this week and that administration was imminent for the SLH. It seems that the idea is to keep SFC Ltd afloat, however there were no details on how this would be achieved. I am sure he said that Lowe and Wilde were aiming at staying at the club, although how they intend achieving THAT I really do not understand as they will no longer be Directors or indeed shareholders UNLESS some dodgy deal has been done behind the scenes. I can state with utmost certainty that if that is the case, I will definately NOT be renewing my ST next season even if we stay up. If Lowe thinks he can secure another disastrous term in office on the back of my money, he can think again.

Know exactly what you mean. The passion has dwindled and this forum is a shadow of its former self. It really is difficult to muster the enthusiasm for the Saints - even though I do miss the games. But let's face it, we've had to put up with being under-whelmed by Rupert and his cronies for so long now, its become the norm. And when that happens what is there left to look forward to - little. I can see where some people advocating Admin are coming from - at least there would be a little excitement and intrigue to be excited about. Oh well, only three more home games before we're put out our collective misery. Who knows, we might be relegated within a couple of weeks. Big question then is - will Lowe stay on regardless? I can just imagine him now - "I cannot leave the club in trouble after Michaels terrible decision to put the two Dutchmen in plan". (-;

You are talking about one of next seasons top players there I hope you realise!
-
Unfortunately that's pretty much how I see it, although we might get a lucky last minute goal to force a draw. It will not be good enough.
