It’s actually gone the other way, we’re producing some incredible coaches and players. It’s a generation thing unfortunately. A lot of ex pros go to Wales to complete UEFA A and B licences because they’re fast tracked. The FA appreciate coaching is a different skills set altogether - and won’t fast track (anymore).

Not necessarily, the amount of pros turned coaches that are poor is horrifying.

Because of his track record - player I worked with who have played under him at Villa. The three members of staff where I currently work who don’t rate him and the two bog standard sessions I’ve seen him lead.

That's the Junior Premier League - think grassroots football meets academy. Ugly entity.

Let's just say some of you aren't that far off when it comes to Chelsea and their academy recruitment. I have some horror stories. (amazing - literally news just broken on SSN of a FIFA probe around youth player transfers). Players can get snapped up as young as 8 (depending on the clubs category in the EPPP) most clubs now run a 'pre-academy' this is so they can 'keep tabs' on the children from an earlier age. Additionally, some of you may have children that participate in clubs development centres - such as Chelsea FC Foundation. This isn't the academy, its paid for by parents but allows clubs to keep an eye on players from other catchment areas. Saints are intriguing at the moment, a lot of the staff based at the satellite centre from Bath are now being hooked in to Staplewood in full time roles.

Amazed nobody has pointed out the rumours on twitter this morning. Let's just say RK, Rooney & Avram Grant might have a mutual interest other than football.
