  1. Get Lallana off and get Puncheon on. Go three up front and start to put some bloody balls into the box!!
  2. FFS - totally outplaying them and give a goal away. Our defending simply isn't good enough!
  3. No, but it is still a major shareholder and has sanction on rules - bit like the security council of the UN is how I imagine it!
  4. My own view is the FA should provide a CL place for the FA Cup winner (or runner-up if the winner is already bound for the CL). It is their Premier League and they have one cup competition which they frequently undermine.
  5. Only Southampton fans could find fault with the top scoring Englishman in the Premiership... You could do worse than listen to the Shop Steward Neville. Rickie, even when at 70%, is still better than half the players playing upfront in the Premiership today because he has a brain. And he uses it. The pass to play in Clyne on Saturday was sublime. Not just because he dropped it on a penny-piece at Clyne's foot, but because HE created the space by drifting out wide and pulling the back four apart. His hold up play is outstanding and he brings others into the game, and every time people say he can't adjust or play a different system he still does, under three managers playing three wholly different set-ups! No, he isn't going to be the guy breaking his neck to get into the box. That's not his game. That's what Rodriguez is for, that's what Lallana should be doing. And Puncheon was doing. Because our top scoring isn't scoring, doesn't mean he isn't worth his place in the team. When others aren't burying chances, you can't blame the guy who bought it, gift-wrapped it, guilt-edged it, covered it in confetti, kissed it for good luck, bubble-wrapped it, popped it in a jiffy bag and bloody well hand-delivered it...!!
  6. No, ref didn't see it!!! We all did, well apart from the ref, linesmen and half their team (and a few of ours to be fair)...
  7. Hmm. Lob in the two wins before Reading and you actually have 11 points from 7 games. Or 60 points over a season. Which right now would have us 7th!
  8. Just watching the Premiership Years (93). Had forgotten how small our goals were (depth-wise). It's incredible that more goals weren't missed when the ball came back out. Why didn't the ground staff just make the nets slacker?? Good to watch these old games and remember the journey! Never dull with us is it?!
  9. Don't know how anyone can moan about the away performances at Newcastle, Wigan and Norwich. We were unlucky not to win all of them! Next year with a few weak spots strengthened we would have won those games easily!
  10. I think we'll get six points from the next two games. Sunderland will play to win which always works for us. And by Stoke we'll be safe so it will be an exhibition of beautiful football.
  11. People told me - some idiots still do - we would be better off with TORRES. Torres?? FFS Lambert is a class act and set up our best chance yesterday. Class act. CLASS. C.L.A.S.S Torres? Pah.
  12. Nah, you're pushing Bale outside onto his RIGHT foot, or you're showing him inside on his LEFT. Come on, be honest, which is most dangerous having just watched all BALE's goals this year! It's not like a right-footed cross from Bale can find the midget Defoe leaping like a salmon! Cork was inside but had to track Holtby, maybe Jos could have stepped up? It's all ifs and buts, but I doubt there will be many players trying to shove Bale inside onto his left foot from now until the end of time! But I wouldn't fault Shaw, he's been a brilliant players this season - a little fitter and more confident, I reckon he could have got in behind them today. Him and Clyne next season bombing on fills me with a lot of optimism.
  13. To be honest if Shaw steps up Bale has to go outside onto his right foot. But, like I said, how can you fault a kid against arguably one of the best three footballers in the world right now!
  14. Difference in world class players. Bale gets nothing from Clyne all game so switches across to roast a young left back and succeeds. No disgrace - Shaw could easily be as good as Bale in a year or two.
  15. Played well. Then gifted the opposition a goal by allowing the best let footed player in the world to come inside onto er his left foot, from where he has scored all season. Shame, we deserved more. Lesson for Shaw.
  16. Did nobody bother telling Shaw that Bale was left footed then?
  17. Jesus. I wouldn't call any of you if my ship hit an iceberg. Just because we were hammered by WBA, how quickly forgotten is the thumping of Citeh and Liverpool...
  18. With Shaw back, I would fancy us to get a little something out of Saturday. Spurs have to attack, they need the win. And that plays into our hands.
  19. ...and whose agent is Willie Mackay - you forgot to add...
  20. Very good point. On Saturday the full backs were too bloody close to the strikers. There are days you have to accept the forward is too quick for you to beat head on, so you drop back and at least give yourself half a chance...
  21. Bet of the year. Redknapp to be first manager out of a job next season in the Championship.
  22. The best line-up, when we played the best looking football, has Puncheon and Clyne on one side and Shaw and Lallana on the other, in my book.
  23. Yep, we need Centre Backs with more pace. We were undone by easy balls over the top. Jos was turning like a fecking oil tanker and Yoshi was just too close, trying to step in and being easily beaten off it. Hopeless. That said, we were shocking all over yesterday.
  24. He was fine. All three red cards correct it now appears on MoTD. If you want to abuse anyone after yesterday, I can find ten people wearing red whose performance was 10% of the man wearing black...
  25. He just hasn't been the same since the injury. Same last season. He'll be fine after a summer off and we have to hope he stays injury free. He was outstanding when we were actually losing earlier in the season.
