In the days before penalty shootouts ties were decided on the toss of a coin. Presumably no one is seriously saying that correctly choosing heads or tails has any bearing on the performance during the match. As I understand it for official records purposes a game decided on penalties goes down as a draw. For betting purposes payouts are generally based on 90 minutes (+ added time!) play, unless it is a special bet. Extra time counts for offical results purposes so a win in extra time properly counts as a win.

Do what they do for cup games and make it cheaper if you book in advance. Most clubs do.

Really not sure that singing songs about the chairman is a good idea. I wonder if Notts County or some lot down the road were praising the people in charge earlier in the season?

Best pub in Brentford the Magpie and Crown has closed. Will have to think of somewhere else to go.

Malt Shovel Tavern. 14 real ales, foreign beer, good cheap food - excellent. Victoria was good too.

Grove King William IV (Brodies pub) and the Leyton Orient Supporters club were very good too. Not sure you can really count London Bridge pubs when assessing Charlton but as a collection the Wheatsheaf/Market Porter/Rake (and I think we went in the Brew Wharf) make a good crawl. But top so far is the Ashton Arms in Oldham. About 7 real ales, excellent foreign beer list and a really friendly welcome. Some potential candidates coming up in Northampton on Saturday.

Will be no problem at all. I have ticket in Northam but went in Chapel for the Rovers game so I would be nearer the buses for the station afterwards. That plan didn't actually work as the muppet driver crashed into a bollard then took a bizarre route to the station.

Even if you are fully concentrating on the road the whole time you can still cause an accident. Certainly wouldn't sit in judgment. Sad all round.
