FWIW in one of Cork's saintsplayer interviews I believe he implied that he'd been mates with de Ridder for a couple of weeks, despite the fact that he had only signed a couple of days before hand. This leads me to believe it is feasible that a player(s) could be training with us for some time before the signing is announced, and thus if we do manage to secure a work permit for Jemal in the next day or two (if that is indeed the hold-up) he may be suitably prepared to come straight into the starting lineup for Saturday's game.

It is ridiculous. The best bet now is to get on at Eastleigh and park at Fleming Park, though I appreciate that involves travelling further for a lot of people.

This. He makes a point about the rights of animals but it's in poor taste to compare it to Norway. He does seem to prefer animals to humans- when he played a gig in Canada (I think) and smelt meat cooking on a BBQ he said something like 'I can only hope it's human' before walking off.
