Personally my view on his can pretty much be described as 'meh'. Always thought he would go, he did, and I can't really blame him too much, if it's what he wanted. Not too bothered what he says or does from now on.

He's gone from being a player I felt we needed to replace to one I feel is integral to our team in a few months. Does what he's good at very well and is an excellent captain.

She's a d*ck. As he says at the end- if he hadn't have got it back into circulation she'd probably never have had the idea.

IIRC, Chaplow was signed so that his 'emergency' loan ran out on January 1st, so that we could re-sign him immediately if we so wished. Assuming that was done deliberately, it may be that we will attempt a similar deal this season. I make it about 104 days until January 1st, and the emergency loan period I think is maximum 93 days? So I wouldn't be surprised to see someone come in in about 11 days, around October 1st.

Exactly. Cork or Hammond coming short dramatically increases our chances of keeping possession and creating a chance. As said, going direct and long gives you a 50/50 chance of winning the ball and even then in a difficult position to make any space. With the CMs dropping to get the ball, one of the opposition either has to follow them -in which case Cork or Hammond can pass it back to Davis or out to one of the CBs, who can then play it into the gap left. If the CM isn't tracked then they can turn and begin an attack. Worse case scenario, Hammond or Cork can pass it straight back to Davis who can then go long if no other option. Even then this is the better option as there is one less opposition player to contend for te long ball/ second ball.
