  1. I can't help thinking that there are some people including Luker who stil need to be cleared out of the club to make it successful. I emailed him a year or so back suggesting that they made the early bird savers for STs available for all as they needed as many new customers as they could get. He replied (promptly) assuring me that they were sure they had the structure right and that there was no need to allow new ST holders in at March Madness prices. Well that worked didn't it.
  2. Yup agree with that Up. No need to call Johnny a dinlo tho'. He must get enough of that at home.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
  3. I'd have thought you'd just have a quiet word with Mr Fry, tell him you've got the dosh and you'll be happy to show it to him once he's got rid of the riff-raff.
  4. As a slight aside Mr Canteen, I am curious to learn whether the thousands you have contributed in the past is through tickets and merchandise or whether you are one of the clique of shareholders who were responsible for allowing Mr Lowe to bludgeon his way back into the club? If it's the former, then I salute you for being a better fan than some of us who have missed the occasional match but surely you've had the entertainment that you've paid for so you haven't actually given the club anything? If you are a major shareholder and a backer of Lowe, then you and the rest of your ilk deserve permanent ostracism for allowing him to return and turn the management of the club upside down and hence bring on our almost certain relegation and downfall. Not hiding behind an IP number. Yours Len Wilkins
  5. Surely it's in everyone's interest for the Administrator to come out and clearly state that public donations to assist the club will not be treated as assets of SLH? If he doesn't or won't or can't then there has to be some doubt why.
  6. Thanks for the transcript Steve tho I think you'd give Frank's Cousin or me a run for our money with your typos. I still think with the supposed value of the shares stadium debt either zeroed and the stadium debt either revalued or converted to a rent one of the previously interested parties will buy us. Is it going to be Saltz/Davies or Fulthorpe/Cousins. I don't doubt Leon would also like to join in too.
  7. Nice clear explanation. I hope the club are also putting money in the piggy bank for the quarterly VAT payments which I imagine are quite significant amounts.
  8. I wouldn't want to put egg on a cheerleader's face.
  9. 13 points from 8 games. 4wins and a draw from 8 games. Have we achieved anything remotely like that at any stage this season? I suspect not. IMHO we're down. (Of course had we kept Pearson and not embarked on the completely lunatic Dutch total football scheme inspired by the equally clueless Lowe and Wilde which has reduced this football club to a shambles it might have been a different story.)
  10. Well put - I was thinking the same thing. He's hardly going to say Mea Culpa is he? It's a dog eat dog world and he's going to blame anyone but himself. Perhaps he's modelling himself on the other infallible person at the club. Personally, I'm still afraid he's going to totally fkkk it up now he has finally got his own name on the back of the coaches chair.
  11. Banishing snakes from Eire when last heard...
  12. or a bloke who engages mouth before brain and has no tactical awareness of who has made this club what it is today ie the supporters.
  13. I think it's far too early to tell and besides it's a futile argument - Pearson was here for a short time & should have been kept but he's long gone. Not sure the 'coming from inside' is much of a help either. It didn't do Wigley, Grey or Godd and Dorman a lot of good after all.
  14. That's pretty much how I feel. Unfortunately (for the club anyway) not having a current ST means that it's easy to get side tracked and find better things to do with my time and money.
  15. To be fair I think you've been pushing the Bajjer a bit. He's only got defensive because he feels threatened by superior techy net-beings like yourself therefore he gets aggressive to deflect criticism. It's a natural reaction. btw although it's brave to use your own pic as an avatar do people ever stop you on the street and say you look like Lord Lucan?
  16. Just heard Wilde interviewed on Radio Solent for the first time ever. A complete non-event, I can see why he keeps away from the microphone. He did confirm that his proposed joke o0f a fans parliament is not going to lead to a fan on the board though. There's a surprise - I hope it doesn't spoil anyone on The Saints Trust's day though!
  17. We need a manager who knows something about the teams we're up against and has the necessary contacts and knowledge when it comes to bringing in new players on loan or otherwise (if we make it to next season). My wild guess is that Rupert won't be able to attract any foreign Premeirship coaches here.
  18. I'd like to get behind Wotte with a big bloody boot. We need a good English manager not another Dutch reject who even Rupert considered second best to Poorto. I'm afraid Mr Wotte ain't going to be our saviour.
  19. Unless he's in Budapest of course.
  20. Oh well. At least Tommac did something that Wilde never could. He got some money out of Pat Trant.
  21. Like Dodd and Gorman you mean?
  22. Do you think there is any connection between Leon Crouch being at SMS on Friday and the mystery investor being shown round / the friendly match against the Budapest team taking place in the stadium behind closed doors at the same time FF? There are a lot of coincidences there.
  23. Sorry but I'm having difficulty understanding how you can both be so certain of this unless you have had direct contact with Crouch himself which seems a little unlikely, especially on a Sunday morning.
  24. If it's all the same to you I think I'll wait until Mr Luker gets his grey matter working and talks to Lowe into actually doing something about giving fans value for money (rather than just muttering to the Echo about thinking about being inventive at some time in the distant future.)
  25. Absolutely brilliant thread - thanks Duncan for thinking of it. I haven't got any stories to match those above but I can reiterate that James Beattie is brilliant with kids. He presented a Friends Provident fair play award to my daughter and her friend at SMS (they played football for Saints Girls at the time.) He couldn't have been more pleasant, nothing was too much for him. Nothing at all like the image that has been portrayed elsewhere. Franny Benali was also involved with the Saints girls teams through his daughter who also played. Another terrific and genuine guy - I chatted to him several times at the bar on social evenings.
