  1. Completely agree - sparks of inspiration that need to ignite a fire !! Some of the one touch passes between the team in the first 15 minutes of the second half were incredible.
  2. Ball boy in Kingsland block 34 had a shocking game.
  3. Ah ha - yup, realise now that the search of the blog showed 2-0 on the same day as the Yeovill game. Hmmm, so it's just me and the g/f now that are going mad
  4. Now, me and the girlfriend are really confused. We listened to the match on the BBC Solent on Saturday and both could have sworn that, at half time, Poopy were losing 2-0. Looking at your blog it you also mention 2-0 (but say it was against Villa whereas they were playing Everton). So, how on earth has that happened? Did BBC Solent report Pompey being 2-0 down against Villa by mistake? Anyone else think it was 2-0 at half time? Is my house entering the twighlight zone?
  5. From Wikipedia .. "Buff is a term used in many MMORPGs to describe an effect (usually cast as a spell) that temporarily enhances a player. Buffs may last for a predetermined amount of time, or until the player actively cancels them. Almost all MMORPGs include some buffs. ..." We need more buffs BTW Deffo go for Block 34 / 35 Kingsland - that's where me, the g/f and my kids STs are...
  6. My daughter (Daisy) was 7 for the Yeovil game (and got her name in the programme ) and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Took my 4 year old (Oliver) as well who was a bit less engaged and thought it was all a bit too noisy. I must admit they both did have their DS's and also a tub of sweets. Both DS's were in use at various stages but when the Northam sang she stopped playing and started clapping along. Thankfully she really wants to go again soon so her next game is Gillingham - long may the winning continue But I remember being taken to see my local team as a lad of about 7 or 8 and it wasn't just the football game that was the exciting bit. It was the parking the car away from the stadium, the walk took us past a sweet shop where we got sweets and some pop for the game, and then me standing on my upturned green Cider crate (which I'm amazed 30 years later my dad still has!). It's the whole experience so make it fun right from jumping in the car to go to the game to the moment you get home Good luck.
  7. It's amazing how negative everybody becomes when something happens to a little star. Chin up everyone, remember Lowe don't live here anymore so open your heart and give the club one more chance (but make sure you repeat that over and over) This club is my Saturday ray of light. Nobody's perfect but we're just getting into the groove. Remember we were getting deeper and deeper into debt until ML came along and saved us (He's a man). Why's it so hard to become positive? I'm all for you doubters being able to express yourself but don't tell me that you were expecting an easy ride. Like it or not, in this life, we all need to have a fighting spirit There was a time when we said Goodbye to innocence when we found we had a gambler amongst us but his boots had long been hung up and he admitted "I'm so stupid". So, COYR, Justify my love for you, I'll be your lucky star. I think this year we'll stay in this division but it won't be a survival battle. Sooner or later we'll push up the table. Don't let down your guard though.
  8. Fantastic oxymoron made me lol - thanks
  9. Nooo - let's have another hour - ENCORE ENCORE!
  10. Worried about the way AP is talking about Murty...
  11. Oops - care to take that back ?
  12. Hmmm - tricky one, do you believe someone who puts their money where their mouth is or do you believe a set of green-eyed supporters. Bugger, was trying to think of a question for them today and it's just sprung into my mind: "Why did you choose Southampton, a division one club, when there was the opportunity to buy a premiership club just down the road for probably less cash?" Damn
  13. Thought it was a stupid question but - Wow - they were in discussions on 22nd May to buy the club - wow.
  14. Thought for his brief appearance today he is showing good promise. Made a few darting runs, his acceleration beat the line numerous times and it'll just be a case of getting one of five right and he's in. Didn't he also tower above the defence for a header on target ? A good run into the box a few mins later (onside) and a tight angle but managed to force the keeper make a save on the ground and out for a corner. All in all, thought he had a great game and can't wait to see more of his skills.
  15. OK - bear with me - I've got four season tickets (me, the g/f and my two kids). The two kids haven't been to a SFC game yet and my daughter is 7 on Saturday so we're taking her to her first game as a ST holder as a treat (no comment please Dell Days) She's really looking forward to it (and hopefully she'll be in the programme announcements thingy!) Anyhow, our friends who have two kids as well wanted to come and celebrate the bday so I booked four tickets online for them. Unfortunately the online booking system isn't the best in the world and you can't choose your seat numbers. I did find out though that I could reserve 4 tickets in Kingsland where I didn't want them and when I tried to reserve a further 4 tickets those 2nd lot were right next to my seats so were perfect. I couldn't remove the first 4 tickets on the site so decided to test it out by ordering 6 x Under 8's with an adult (so FOC) and then 2 x adults at £22 hence getting 4 x seats that I wanted and 4 x seats that I didn't. Thinking that the system would throw up a problem I promptly ordered all 8 tickets for £44. Got home this evening and amazed to find all 8 tickets are here..... So, should I fess up or just turn up and increase the gate by 4 non-starters? If you're still reading, suggest a beer might be in order before the re-read ?
  16. For all those pessimists out there (I know, not many) but we were playing the top of the table team and a team who are probably going up this season. They have won all their games so far this season and we managed to draw 1-1. Still lots to build on but on this performance I'm happy that we'll stay up this year in League One and may even be in the top 10 at the end of the season. As I posted in the other thread which is closed, really hope we put our subs on earlier next game if we're in with a chance to steal it. PS Really looking forward to next weekends game - not least because my daughter is seven on Saturday and attending her first ever game at St Mary's. COYR!
  17. Good result in the end - must stop falling apart in the 2nd half. Subs on earlier next time please AP. (& poopy lost )
  18. 1-1 - not a bad result, would have been happy with that if you'd have asked me before the match. Ends Charlton's 100% run of wins but why didn't we sub earlier?
  19. Hmm - moustache has one more letter?
  20. WAIGO on for Lallana
  21. 4 mins injury time - COME ON!
  22. On the amazing invention called 'local BBC radio'
  23. Fair play to those that have gone to support the saints - 3k or so outsinging the Charlton lot. :smt041 COYR - 3 mins to go..
  24. Nowt yet - we need Lambert off and Waigo on, and bring on Jaidi as well to shore up the back a bit more
  25. Two goals for Charlton disallowed for Off Side - come on, we can't rely on the linesman - get yer arses in gear and up the other end
