Received my Ajax tickets today. Have 2 x 8 pair season tickets and was amazed that the ticket office have actually sent me 4 free Adult tickets. I haven't got the kids this weekend so I can take two adults along with me for free!! Anyone got the same with childrens ST Ajax tickets?

Yup - then it'll be a rush to paypal the money across and as soon as it reaches the £805 or whatever it is then that's who's in the draw. Not sure if you can stop receiving paypal payments though ??!!

I'll chuck in a tenner and like the idea of see how much we could get first and then let those 'in' vote for the player?

Don't forget though that a few thousand would have been given away free to season ticket holders and, therefore, quite a few may not actually make it to the game (I got four tickets but now will only be using two). However, I'm really hoping for a big crowd - would be absolutely fantastic for a pre-season friendly !

He's in an unenviable position of being given the cash to splash and buy new players as well (is it six new signings in the last month?) and the owner is a local boy although, amazingly, no one has any pics of him so no one is really sure what he looks like. Not sure how Marcus (Evans) has managed to not have his photo taken by the press....

You're even worse than those Ipswich supports who are asking for his resignation since they lost their pre-season friendly! Only been in the job a few months there.

1. No longer do I hold my breath for bad news when I hit 'F5' 2. Managing to get me and the g/f season tickets by 9:30 this morning and also getting my under 8 kids their first season ticket ever and their smile when I told them was priceless 3. The g/f rearranging a previous engagement so we can now make the Ajax game 4. Moving the Milwall game to 12:45 KO so I can still go to my cousins wedding on that Saturday and not miss the game (OK OK , was going to be missing the wedding) 5. KD staying 6. WGS being our saviour (OK, so 5 out of 6 ain't bad).

Agree with you Barney - nothing would delight me more than for us to move up to the Championship straight away. However, on -10 it really needs a very strong manager to do that. My personal thoughts are the new manager should set expectations with the team that we'll be in Div 1 for this season and next then make Championship the year after that for a couple of seasons and Prem by 2013/14 season. What we need is to build a strong on field team and we can't afford for them to get despondent and leave after the first season in Div 1 if we don't get promoted. Take KD as an example, he was about to walk and I'm very glad he stayed - let's hope his committment rubs off on others. If we manage to exceed the expectations of 2013/14 season in the Premiership then that would be fantastic - however we need a team of strong committed players that will stay with us for the reward in 13/14.
