5 minute interview which I've just watched on Saints TV / Saints Player and took what I think was the main bits (and paraphrased some of it - happy to be corrected ) Interviewer: "Right Blend - criticism that Saints were playing too many kids too often. From a Captains position do you understand where that's coming from ?" KD: "Yeah 100% - there were certainly times when more experienced players were available and not played. I think that the manager is right about getting the right blend. We trust the manager enough to know what he's doing." Interviewer: "Fans entered the call to arms - 10,000 ST sold in a couple of weeks" KD: "Doesn't really surprise me - knew we had loyal fans, as long as we can do it on the pitch we can get 20,000 and can mean the difference between a win and a draw. I'm sure the manager is looking to bring in new faces and strengthen the squad and get the results" Interviewer: "Frustrations on strenghtening team - Stern John, how big a blow" KD: "Disappointing - know how strong he is. But opportunity for someone else to come in" Upbeat I think and lots of hooks into bringing in new players.... Fingers crossed

Saints Player - replacement for Saints TV

Probably not the away ones... -
But it's more expensive and hasn't got the ST holder discount that I think last years had?
-
I know there's another thread about the OS giving a misleading headline but that thread is discussing the OS really and not the actual Saints Player. If I understand it right, Saints TV was £30 for the year last year but if you were a ST holder it's was £20? Is that right? This year it appears the prices have increased to £34.99 but there's no discount I can see for ST holders. Before I sign up am I missing something ? Also, do you think they'll be giving the audio for the QPR match this weekend? Thanks Mike PS Wasn't easy for me to find the Saints Player actual link but found it in the end. To save others time it's here

Met him once in 1981, really nice guy - such a fantastic manager - RIP Bobby.
-
Sure that wasn't 'Talk S***e"? It's only a 26k stadium ffs!
-
Really hoping this wasn't a freudian slip....

Agree that this is a fantastic figure. I'm a first time ST holder now (along with the family) but wonder whether previous ST prices gave away a children's under 8 ticket free? I'd imagine this will bolster ST numbers but not necessarily the revenue on the tickets. However, that being said, it still means bums on seats and a good atmosphere at the ground. Wonder how many people bought a ST and a free U8 to have the leg room next to them rather than a child.......... Mike who's not usually cynical

It seems to be the new fashion - freebees

Interesting site if anyone can make head or tail of it http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/wettbewerb/GB3/league-one/uebersicht/startseite.html -
Sorry, but I went to the Ajax game and enjoyed it. Having just forked out £700 for season tickets I was greatful for a free Ajax ticket but really think that they should have done the same for the Hearts match as well for ST holders. I just can't justify £20 for a friendly match no matter how much of a SFC fan me and the girlfriend are. Spose you might be able to get a beer within the 15 minute half time break on Saturday though...

Agree with you - let's be first in there with sponsorship!

A selection of pics for those not there... Before the game complete with Swiss Flag 1-0 and the pretty full Northam celebrates A not so full Itchen & Chapel Hope the pics aren't too large - and will take a better camera next time
-
Enjoyed the game. Crowd at the Northam end and Kingsland were pretty packed but Itchen and Chapel were a bit sparse. SFC Missed a trick by not bringing our new owner and manager out on the pitch before the game. Do you think that the camera feed was stopped on purpose when Liebherr was announced? I think the team played well but needed to keep more possession _ Kelvin was fantastic .... could have been 7 or 8 otherwise. Traffic out of the stadium is cr*p - only just on the Itchen bridge - grrrr Have a few pics to post - what's the rules about posting pics? can i just put them in here?
-
At the match in the beer queue. one thing that hasnt got better! Saga was warming up hence the singing. not a penalty ... we got the ball! crowd is fantastic at northam and Kingsland. pretty full there but not so much in itching and chapel. around 20k max id say. saints playing well but need more possession
-
saints lose 7-2 but the score isnt important! sat outside m+s hedge end at the mo waiting for the g/f to finish shoping and wasting serious vdt No sign of any new signings here at the moment. Oh and cant we have a wap site please?!
-
Did he ask for an Ajax ticket? They are sent separately but in most cases on here the Ajax ticket arrives a day or two before the ST....
-
I've got a 4 yo and 6 yo and have got STs down on Row C in Block 34 Kingsland - really liked these seats last year and sit right next to the exit wall so have loads of room (I'm 6'4" so need the leg room!). Even better that I can rush out as soon as the half time whistle goes and get to the bar quicker than most
-
Purple one heading your direction
-
Me and my girlfriend are going and trying to decide which of our friends to invite for the two spare tickets we have
-
lol - one mans loss and all that
-
Fantastic - Season tickets arrived this morning in the post. My life is complete
-
And we'll put out the SFC XI - a close game would be fantastic result for us on Saturday - and if it's not that close then less than 4-0 still shows we're a championship club and fate has us in the wrong league
-
There's never a right time to be told you've got cancer but it's got to be exponential at the age of 34 with a young family. All the best John and fingers crossed for you and your family.
-
Yeah - I can see why you don't want to go. Free tickets for ST holders, crowd of over 20k people, fantastic atmosphere, welcome our new owner and perhaps new manager and a chance to meet up with familiar faces down the pub for a pre-match drink then to see some more familiar faces in the ground. Would be really sh!t to be honest and best to stay at home.
