Awww come on - you'll be sat there like billy no mates listening to the Reds singing their hearts out. You'll attempt your own OWTSGMI but it just won't be the same. It's going to be the kind of game that you're going to be kicking yourself for years to come that you weren't there to see it. You know it makes sense...
-
Thomas was having a go at a lot of players towards the end of the game. In the end Trottman told him to 'F*** off' - not that difficult to read lips when that's the phrase! Was Pardew waving the finger at the Charlton player who thought he should have been allowed to play on when the ref blew the whistle? He was through on goal and threw his hands up when the final whistle went...
-
Excellent as usual - apart from being many miles away and not hearing as clearly as I did the fans singing "You Skate B*stard" to Burton but the rest of the Saints getting it wrong and joined in with "You Fat B*stard". He wasn't forgotten - just mis-quoted

Maybe because I was sitting in row C of Kingsland and getting soaking wet and trying to keep as dry and warm as possible, but got really really f***ed off with the continued chant of 'Stand up, if you love the Saints'. Would have liked to stand up but a) I'm at the front, so can't really but know all the Northam are looking at ME b) Am f***ing cold and wet (see above) Was really hoping for a slow OWTSGMI last night but only heard the already normal speed version and didn't hear the slow one??

+1 In fact, set up the 2nd goal....

Tonight I was on the bloody wet side ;( But least we won again!
-
Definitely - first time I've seen him play and very impressed. Took a couple of excellent crosses and towered above a crowd of players each time to come out with the ball. Couple of good saves (one down to his side on the floor which was an incredible save) and he was really good at returning backpasses (a few too many for my liking) up to the likes of Lambert. We really give 'keepers a hard time as soon as they make a mistake. However, cap off to Bart tonight, a very very good game and a hell of a lot better than Davis (and Hammond being captain IMHO worked better than Kelvin). (interesting to see the Ipswich link again!)
-
Even better - hope everyone in the Northam and Kingsland was smiling when he took a couple of photos of us all How cool is that? Something to show the lads in the office tomorrow I spose! "Look where I was last night"

ARGHHHHH Sky didn't record it!!!! Anyone going to put the goals up ?
-
Will let you tell that to the truckers
-
Is that the Sky Player? When I tried it it links the player to specific machines and won't let you have more than a few (can't remember how many) machines linked to the account.

Not going .com???

Going to get flamed I'm sure... Was a through and through Ipswich Town supporter (hence the name) but have been living in Hampshire for the past 10+ years. Always tried to support from afar and when visiting parents in Ipswich I used to try to catch a game at Portman Road. Was definitely a part time supporter though really apart from signing up for the SMS game alerts for their games that's been about the size of the following I've done on the past few years However, met my fantastic girlfriend a year and a half ago and she's a through and through Saints fan. Started going to games with her last season and found the ground & support fantastic and loved the fact that it was very much like the Ipswich family club that I grew up with. Since then, we've got season tickets (and even have two for my kids to come along when we have them!) and been to the Bristol Rovers away game (and the first JPT round and off to tonights game). Have really fallen in love with the Saints and, for the first time in about 10 years, can name the regular first team It's sparked a new interest in football for me which had been lying untouched for some time. Now I'm extremely passionate about Southampton and regularly have discussions with Poopey fans (live in a PO postcode) and can hold my own in those 'discussions' So, there you go, not sure what will happen when Ipswich and Southampton play next on which side I'll be sat but the way things are going right now they might swap leagues with each other next season anyhow!!
-
Yup - if you had looked to your left along about 20 seats at a guess (we were seat 80 & 81) you'd have seen me and the g/f behind the next drainpipe - think we paid £35.00 for our tickets - grrr
-
The girlfriend is currently in discussions with Bristol Rovers ticket office re: not marking on their tickets that it was restricted view. Our two seats were on row B and directly behind a drainpipe so definitely the case of restricted view. Will let you know how we get on!
-
Blimey - could spot you in the crowd then with 3+ arms...

Bristol Rovers 2- 3 Saints - You Tube of saints goals here

Too much, too many, what flavour I drank wasn't the problem - it was the quantity of alcohol so, therefore, surely that's too much alcohol? So why's it too many G&Ts when G&T = alcohol = too much alcohol. Time for bed me thinks. Night night from RC (and RC is just fantastic - apart from being a PO postcode thanks!) -

Had that prorgrammed into the Sat Nav but in the end got to the ground for 17:00 so did a scout around for closer parking spaces and found lots of on street parking and the journey back to home took 2 hours (even after someone I think throwing themselves off the Leigh Park bridge and closing the A3(M).
-
Yup, that one was offside. The unforgivable one was when the ball went out for a Saints corner and both linesman and referee looked at each other then the referee made the decision - throw in to Rovers. THROW IN FFS? WHAT?? The ball went out between the goal post and the corner flag - how's that a throw in ???
-
Really impressed with Ricky since he joined us and very sporting today - did you notice how he didn't really celebrate any of our goals?
-
Ah ha ! Same restricted view as us then on Row B?
-
Wasn't told my tickets were 'restricted view' but I think that may have been the same for a lot of people in the front few rows ! Loved the 'We're going to Wembley' song at the end!!
