I think anyone who has been told by relegation candidates that they aren't good enough, who has then moved to a bigger club and scored, has probably earned the right to be a little smug, thus raising a question mark over the whole set-up at said relegation candidates. #hero-villain

If you just watch the tackle I can see how someone could judge it as a potential red. The frustrations come from the inconsistency of different refs (Ramirez v Brown) and of Oliver himself within games that he attempts to ref. IMO in the context of everything that the ref had let go, it was not a red. I'm not going to bore you with a list but there are approx five occasions in the game when he could have booked Swansea players and didn't. But the real test of how damaging a tackle that really was will be judged by how many months Barrow spends on the sidelines. I wish him a speedy recovery.......and I'm curious to see how quick that recovery is.

I could accept that as a red if Oliver gave about 8 yellows for other offences in the game that could have warranted them, or if he was capable of seeing the difference between a corner and a goalkick, or even if he could grasp the concept of injury time. He set his level when he ignored a deliberate handball and several fouls, then he changed it. Even in the last few mins he failed to book a Swansea player for a poor professional foul. Inconsistent.

Credit where credit is due, a great result for them, taking a point off the leaders is a fine effort. Unless of course you need to average two points per game to make the playoffs and one point per game to avoid relegation from the football league. But great result.

He didn't cost us the game, but what a shocking ref! Mr Moss is welcome to make mistakes, we all do, and he certainly does, but to be blatantly inconsistent is a sin. 1st half - Palace player chops down winger, not even a word from the ref. 2nd half - Targett chops down winger on same spot in identical manner, his first foul - yellow card. I guess the real problem they will have is when the current young fans get to an age where they see their mates supporting Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal or even Saints, and wonder why they have been forced to follow some club that is never on the telly and has no relevance to the game. They now have ten-year-olds with no memory of anything other than relegation, and no matter how the older few kid themselves about glorious history, they won't keep a child happy just with stories of the olden days. Their hardcore of support is the dinosaur element, of a certain age, but without a massive change in fortunes they will lose their next generation of supporters, in much the same way as we lost a few in the last decade and have gained a few since.
