  1. We’ll bring in atleast 2
  2. I think it looks like the offer is loan with an obligation anyway, so effectively its just a transfer with an FFP dodge
  3. If teams in the prem can’t put their foot down and keep hold of their talent what hope do we have as a Championship team The only hope we had was putting reasonable valuations on our players that needed to be met and generally, right now its seemed like its worked There’s no point carrying players that don’t want to be here, its going to be a big push getting out the Championship and so you want players pulling together This isnt football manager, you cant just say no really, as like Pilchards and Coalman has said, it undermines morale of the players still here and makes the youngsters we want to sign think twice The best way you can play it is to say.. ‘You won’t go anywhere unless we get X for you’… Im also hopeful, despite the pressure, that we say if they’ve not left by midweek then thats that
  4. Im just sharing what I heard at the end of the season and its pretty reliable
  5. As I said early doors in the transfer thread, Perraud was one of the more vocal if the French lads that wanted out af the end of last season (and Diallo) I have also expected Mara and Sully to go too but so far they’re here We signed Manning as a direct replacement, Im assuming the loan signifies the fact we couldn’t offload Perraud effectively I was never anticipating him to play any part this year, hopefully he plays well and Nice buy him
  6. There will be a fee to it, they’re subsidising wages and as already stated we’ve already signed Manning as his replacement Genuinely not sure how some of you survive day to day life if you flap this much about our football team, and in this case one of our 4 LBs (5 if you include KWP)
  7. Its not my explanation, you clearly stated that the Mane/VVD buys were defined and monitored for a while but any other signings probably were not The only real panic buys are probably Onuachu and Carillo, which funilly enough were both bought in to try to prop up a failing manager.. I just cant see that being the case this time
  8. We won’t sign Spence unless we sell KWP, and he won’t come here if KWP is here.. so it is what it is Edit - Id also be stunned if they get him for any sort of respectable fee, Id imagine it’ll be a loan and in Sours case Levy would rather die then sanction a deal that isn’t 99% in Spurs favour
  9. Ahh ok, but obviously that doesn’t apply to this window if we buy late because clearly Koeman was all knowing and these lot are chancers
  10. Its the league not clubs, basically the prem seems to just pay lip service to it
  11. Ahh yes it does in the Champ, because they take it seriously, look at QPR and Blackburn, they spent splenty trying and failing to escape the Champ and now they’re knackered
  12. We can spend money if we want to, but the reality is from one reason or another we probably don’t want to, and its about flexibility around the FFP regs Im sure, if there was a target that suited us we’d go for it, but you need to be a bit careful as we’ve seen from Armstrong and Che (and probably Piroe) that the step up is big.. we need to sign a striker that can fire us into the Prem.. but when we get there we’ll likely need to replace them
  13. I would imagine, as a couple on here have said time and time again.. it becomes more of an issue at the end of the season IF we don’t get promoted but our prudence will mean we won’t be as desperate
  14. I think it probably depends on the rest of the trauma, I was quite ‘lucky’ that I didn’t damage any of the other structures in the knee tbh Shame for Stephens but the JS/JB partnership has never worked, JB + SC looked great yesterday and I expect we’ll now see JB + MH or even Wood which, imo is a better option overall
  15. Not sure how much of a top target Archer is, but unfortunately regardless of whether we’re a better long term option the prem is always going to have an appeal McAtee is going to be a loan, so literally has no real risk for him Archer a bit more risk, but if he has any sense he’ll probably have negotiated some form of release
  16. Perraud has wanted out since the end of last season, its why we bought Manning.. its just taken se time to shift him Shame about McAtee, but Im not hugely surprised he’s staying in the prem
  17. Keep the negativity to the transfer thread… ta

  19. Have Bournemouth got a bid in ? Thought it was just Palace ?
  20. He’s more of an AM tbh
  21. Failing upwards in spectacular fashion
  22. Yeah shame he didn’t score yesterday….
  23. Yeah but he can actually beat a man so 🤷‍♀️
  24. I don’t disagree, just saying what I remember Generally debt isn’t seen as a huge issue to most wealth institutions, you shouldn’t be using available funds to clear debt, its a concept that makes little sense to most though
  25. Wage bill makes more sense than spend in that sense, Downes, Holgate and Fraser will be on a decent wedge yet the ‘fee’ will probably be minimal I think the highest ever ‘spend’ in the champ was 45m or something and Villa finished 4th
