Must admit I know nothing of him other than whats in the public domain, you have any info on him ? Heard anything through your foreign coaching contacts ?
-
Word was that unless full tax is paid on all players salaries they would be refused entry to the league
-
Lol fair enough, Ive got no animosity towards him, infact I find it pretty cringey how much he gets vilafied on here, Im fairly confident he would be doing a much better job then Woy with England right now should he have been offered the top job. Lets just say I was closer to the club in those days and although I still have contacts at Staplewood back then I had contacts very close to board level (in fact a manager). I cant really blame Harry for what happened, we were in freefall, and if you heard the crap coming out of the boardroom back then it was damnright scary
-
Probably the most technically gifted player I have ever seen but Brazil has seen a revival in him and he still isnt fit enough, a move back to Europe would not be good for him or us. Nor would he be interested. We are looking for a striker though not an attacking midfielder
-
Because they know if they accept Spurs offer that he will sign and so get him off the wage bill, where as they could get an extra €3mill from us but potentially not make the sale.
-
Your not thinking straight Window, you have missed an obvious opportunity to have a pop at Redknapp, shame on you. Agreed though, dumped the big wage primadonnas and picked up some very able players.
-
Honestly where ? We play with one striker who leads the line ? Without a signing of someone not only technically able but more mobile then Lambert wont be replaced, so yeah, maybe you meant left back
-
Where ?
-
Nope, not really. Bony would have been excellent. Sow maybe ? Cheeky bid for Lukaku if Chelsea sign someone. Need a player that is mobile and can hold ball up, outside of the big three leagues Im not too sure about quality
-
Not sure he is the player we need, a goalscorer he is but we need someone to lead from the front, thats not Defoe
-
So if you were in his position and TF was agreeing to spend money you wouldnt be taking him up on the offer and filling the team with players who personally I think are going to do v well in the NPC ?
-
He has an impressive beer gut these days

LIVE: Mauricio Pochettino's pre-match press conference

Ignoring the obvious WUMing potential of a previous post I do sort of see some sense in the trolling. Personally I would have hoped that he would have worked hard enough over the summer to speak english well enough by now. -
Why are we not giving Sharp a chance?

Was Wotton ever a fans favourite ? Easily one of the worst Saints players Ive ever seen live -
Real world ? I thought this all along me old mucker, your of course free to twist things however you wish, but I was always sceptical after he snubbed us the second time. In fact I remember saying 'money for us wont be the issue, it'll be convincing him that we are his best option' of which we probably arent
-
Im not going to lie, and yes Id still be very excited about this signing if it happened... But.. I feel a little worried that he clearly isnt interested in us, added to this his previous 'issues' I hope if he does come he can settle quick and has no little hiccups.

Rickie Lambert called up for England

Exactly this, Carroll gets a hard time but is better than people give him credit. If he has a decent season he will get the nod. Other than that though I dont hold much hope for England in a world cup. Gerrard and Rooney are the onky two top class players on display last night, gerrards stock is starting to fade and Rooney didnt seem sharp enough ladt night, he needs to sort his head out. Wilshere and Cleverley in midfield must give SG a headache who tried to be available for passes and marshall the defence but got little protection from the other two. Wilshere looks good on the ball but gets caught in posession and gives it away easily at times. Movement upfront is an issue aswell. Personally swap Gerrard for Cleverley and play Carrick deeper and it should be ok. The ball from Gerrard to Rooney was sublime and should have been onside. Welbeck looked good again, contrary to what many would have hoped. Walcott didnt look massively interested but his pace is such a get out ball. Agree re defence, it doesnt fill me with confidence at all. -
He picked him because Carroll and sturridge were injured. I dont think he made a mockery of himself either, I didnt think it would work for us but he certainly looked ok amoungst the other players, probably worth a punt dependant on options.

Another thread ? Adkins deemed that we had better options, and now so has MoPo. Im sure if he had the quality a newly promoted team or a top NPC team would be in for him.... They're not
