  1. Do f*ck off, The way (and i will admit it was the minority) your lot acted, smashing up the royal car, defacing famous monuments and attempting to break into the treasury as well as throwing missles and generally acting in a very violent manner has somewhat dumbed down the arguement towards police brutality. As for them randomly hitting out etc, the police are not mindless robots, they are human beings too and ones that were, if it all got really nasty, completely outnumbered. The police acted in a way to attempt to quell the violence and attempted to stamp and authority on the proceedings. As much as anything else i expect a fair few of them were incredibly scared by the sheer size of it all. And all for what exactly ?? Raising of tuition fees ? Get over it, it is barely going to affect the majority and as i have said a hundred times before you are going to be investing into your future. The main bulk of students will still go to university as they know they need to in order to progress in their chosen career path and will be rewarded at the end. What it will do, hopefully is remove a lot of the dead wood that will no longer be able to choose university as it enables them to steer clear of work for another few years. The violence was a complete and utter disgrace, and how any of those that attended can come out with the old clap trap that it was caused by the police is an equal disgrace IMO.
  2. C'MON SAINTS
  3. C'mon FFS
  4. If he really wanted to sack him why do so at what was a really damaging time ? It makes no sense if planned
  5. bad feeling about december
  6. I was being a tad sarccy my dear friend. I was pretty much against his rants for ages and turned into a bit of a knob for a while as he got my back up. Thing was back then i said it was because of a group cancelling the DD (although didn't realise it was 25% !!) and also said i expect only a small number of which i said 1500 would have used the installment plan anyways. SRS shot me and everyone else down in flames that didn't support the 'NC is trying to get rid of STH's' arguement.
  7. Life is full of choices VFTT In my mind you are an adult when you realise this and start looking at the choices you have and acting on them, i fully suspect that most of those causing the violence yesterday were types who have now had their easy ride through an easy life for another few years taken away from them a little bit further (and with respect its still too easy as most will NEVER pay it back) End of the day the choices in life make you who you are, i made a choice 3 years back to take a pay cut (8k BTW) and take the job i have now which was a technical training position and i was paid to take a uni course along with working full time. That choice paid off as i am now earning a modest sum and i am very happy and comfortable. Problem is the youth today expect life to be handed on a plate and don't want to work or make sacrifice. They WANT a house, they WANT a good job and salary and they don't WANT to work particularly hard for it. Its about time they are taught in school that life is not like that and the world will not always pander to those that just want to coast although for me it has for a long time. If they want a worthwhile degree and so a well paid job then they will have to make that choice, but no choice worth making comes without risk or sacrifice i am afraid.
  8. Yeah by meets i didn't mean bloody football violence
  9. Feck me Trousers I thought i was on a good wage
  10. Football has changed, people don't realise that these are high tuned athletes, and i know thats a bit cliche and sounds a bit ghey but it is true. When you train hard to get to that level then you can pick up injuries and they will affect you more than me and you. That added to the fact that everyone of them would probably rather sit on the bench and earn a couple of quid (or on holiday)
  11. Oh behave, The poor little darlings are hardly paying much back FFS At £21k pa a gradutate will pay nothing. At £22k pa a grad will repay £90pa At £30k pa a grad will repay £810pa At £50k pa a grad will repay £2610 pa At £150k pa a grad will repay £11,610 pa And if you haven't managed to repay it in 30 years its written off Thats not a huge and restrictive repayment plan is it ?? And the so called 'debt' was created when they took the degree course in order to improve themselves and therefore their paypacket.
  12. TBF he did get the installment plan thing spot on, a few of us said it was because of people cancelling direct debits and i think i even said i doubt that there was any more than 1500 people that use it. But nope, Stuey was always right, and if you even had a half decent arguement against him he would ask you to meet up and went on a character destroying mission. He is an utter tool. But i don't agree with anyone being banned.
  13. Just because i agree with the student tuition fees rising does not mean i do not blame the banking industry (and labour) for the financial sh*tstorm we are currently in. Of course they should be made accountable. My main concern is all of the students that have come out of the woodwork to complain about these proposals where probably 90% will never ever pay off, in full their 'debt'. As someone said earlier, it will probably equate to under 5% of their annual salaries to pay off the vehicle that has propelled them to the higher wage bracket. And no, not everyone should be entitled to do a degree otherwise you have another measure of academic level that is completely and utterly useless. You need ways to pick the wheat from the chaff. Unfortunately now people will have the choice of going to work and earning a living or going to university to p*ss it up for a further few years.
  14. With the right funding, and by that, as NC said by spending reasonable money on the RIGHT players. Not just chucking loads of cash at players that aren't going to change the side too much just to appease some of the fans.
  15. Hopefully it will further force our hand in January aswell. I wonder how the Puncheon situation will pan out.
  16. I have not agreed to much but i do agree with what you have written here, all except the Trident bit anyways.
  17. The thing with league 1 is that it is a very strange league, the top sides are more or less of the same quality as the majority of the NPC sides and the lower league 1 sides are pretty poor. That pretty much means that if you gain promotion from league 1 you are probably at a level to compete in the NPC anyway and with a fair bit of strengthening should be up there. I think it is achievable, but will take us 2 seasons in the NPC.
  18. Oh view do f*ck off. Its not like any normal debt is it FFS ?? This isn't like buying a sofa with interest. You ONLY pay it off under certain limits to pay and even then reletively slowly FFS, in many cases they won't actually pay the full debt off will they ? And all to enable them to earn more money (if they do a ligitimate degree) or just stay out of work and p*ss it up (if they choose a mickey mouse one) There are many ways to gain a degree/further education, plus earn a salary and have a stable job.
  19. Lol Just saw that aswell. knobs
  20. True, i suppose you are right. If you have an admin fee that is because of card transactions then of course this should count at the ticket office as it does over the phone. I don't know, i am not supporting the move at all BTW, just trying to make sense of why it is there. There must be a reason similar to that of box offices charging over the phone for card transactions however if I went to say the BIC for instance i could buy tickets without the card fee. Either way, you are right. If he really wants to discourage the walkup he should abolish the 'ticket tax' for advance bookings. Or (as i imagine would be more of a likely case) hide it away again inside the overall price of tickets.
  21. Facepalm. I fear you were sucked in doddsi boy. Sarcasm aside i do agree with you, i've never found him to be a particularly great player, a few decent crosses here and there don't make a player. I do however have sympathies for him, it must be devastating.
  22. Home kits ?
  23. Why do people think that a factor which will allow people to advance themselves to enable them to earn more and more be free ?? I bet 90% of the students will never ever end up paying off all of the debt anyways.
  24. No his response was the walk up fee, which i can sort of see his point with. I understand that there is a fee for all credit/debit transactions which is probably in use at every other club but hidden inside the overall ticket price. I think if NC really wants to stop the on the day walk ups he needs to make advance bookings more attractive. Either way, if this is just a transparancy thing then his intentions may have been right but it was always going to rile people. IMO he should rid himself of the advance booking fee and also reintroduce half season tickets.
  25. Lol at moaning at police tactics when it is ok to break into buildings, attack innocents and throw bricks, snooker balls and other missles is obviously completely ok. 'Every action has an equal and opposite reaction' - Although i don't expect many of those so called students to know who or what that saying is about, mindless tools.
