  1. Thats just plain wrong, some players are able to make the step over to a different style of football and others cannot. This is a big big reason why south american imports often cannot and do not make a successful transition, not because they are bad players, not at all but because they are not used to the style of football we play which is completely different then anywhere else on the continent. It also depends very much on the players that are around you, if you are a few levels above your playing partners even the best passes can make you look crap if the players around you cannot and do not move into the correct positions. MS is in my opinion much better than this level, his passing is the best in the team and the way he moves with the ball at times is phenominal, finding space and almost ghosting around players. Then when in a France shirt he is a different player again, he looked fantastic the couple of times i have seen him in the under 21's/23's whatever and a lot of the good moves come from him. But i do agree, he is not the same player this year and i too think he wants out.
  2. Great motivator and would be perfectly suited to the England job IMO. I don't get how people cannot rate him as a manager !! However i can see the arguement that he has to spend a lot of cash, but then were these same people slagging Twitchy off as a money spender the same that were calling for Keegan to be our next manager earlier this and last season ?? A man who essentially has only had success when in control of a large transfer budget. Say what you will, he took Pompey and won the FA cup with them and won it !! And then took Tottenham into the top four, a feat not achieved for a long long time. He is a good manager, i can't see how anyone can argue that.
  3. Yeah i got that a little wrong lol. Still, its a lot per person.
  4. 7bil divided by the 7 mil population of this country is 10mil per head. Rediculous. We make 6 bil worth of cuts to help reduce our debt and now have eclipsed that by another billion.
  5. There is a new young Tranmere striker that is looking promising and is exactly the sort if young, gifted hungry players we need to be looking at. I fear we will really miss Barnards work rate.
  6. Built a decent team ready to hit the ground running this season, a really good team got demoted last year and dominated this season so i didn't bother buying anyone. Sold my World Class trained goalkeeper for 2.2Mil and had 800k in the bank already. I may also sell my magnificent goalkeeper and train my new 17 yr old excellent (i train keepers) but i am also considering training defenders. This is the season, i can feel it in my bones.
  7. Yeah really, Zidane was brilliant but in different ways. In fact, yeah Zidane was a better player, probably the best player of his generation without a doubt. But IMO to write off Gerrard is rediculous and to say he was one of our worse performers against France really is laughable. We will have to agree to disagree i am afraid as IMO if Gerrard was utilised properly over the course of his England career and we hadn't wasted time trying to fit Lampard and Gerrard in the same team together then we may very well have had some success. I do agree he is a c*nt though.
  8. 93 Mil !!!! Jesus, i expect thats because they have to order toilet cubicals with gloryholes in them.
  9. TBH, if he regains form at Millwall and comes back to us back at the top of his game, a la last season it will be a masterstroke.
  10. Which one ?? He scores from the left, He scores from the riiiiiiight That boy lallana Makes messi look sh*te
  11. Wasn't there today but heard he had a good game, i still don't think he will make the step up very well though. For all his industry i just don't think he offers much to us from a technical side. He never seems to show for other players, can't pass and has a terrible first touch. I even remember Pardew saying he could find himself on the bench unless his technique improves. Still, nice to see Chaplow is hitting the form he had with us in the Championship. And TBF, whatever works and aslong as we keep winning.
  12. Yup, looks like life is going to get tough for me, I have the 20th of Dec to Jan 5th booked off and was hoping to put my feet up and get some beer down my neck. If its anything like last year though i expect they will revoke it and i'll end up trudging around white fields trying not to fall down ditches.
  13. Its 125 years, what exactly does that mean ?? 100, yeah, but 125 ?? Are we going to have a 130 celebration ?? 143 ?? Personally i don't see the point.
  14. I hope we don't get another snow in this year, i don't want my holiday cancelled.
  15. Cortese took a lollypop off a baby as well.
  16. He is a confidence player and was being Boo'd, he is a probably technically up there with Morgan, Lallana and Guly.
  17. Like giving Saints a pathetically small transfer budget and balance on FM11 ??
  18. We would easily get 60k in the prem
  19. Right then, January is coming closer. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_6516527,00.html What about this guy ?? And, if we get this guy i will be a very very happy boy http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_6512669,00.html
  20. Lets hope Dickson grabs his chance and proves he deserves his place in the team.
  21. I had a few problems with O2 a few years back, absolutely crap service, didn't set up the phone as i had asked, tried to set up a limit on it but they hadn't set it up and i ended up paying a fortune. I could never speak to anyone who actually knew what they were on about and when i asked to speak to a manager i was told that i couldn't, when i FINALLY managed to get through to the manager he said he would ring me back and never did. I eventually cracked and demanded to talk to the manager who i pretty much berated down the phone and said if i managed my staff the way he did and treated the customers with such contempt i would be out of a job, he tried to argue it but i said i wanted to make a formal complaint against him and his team. Funnily enough shortly afterwards i got my wish and they cancelled my contract for no cost.
  22. It is the position he is asked to play, and he does it very well, i have never witnessed a player who can stamp his authority on a game so effectively, i really have lost count of the amount of games he has grabbed Liverpool by the scruff of the neck and dragged it across the winning line. Perhaps if he had left them a little while back and moved to a team of players that suited him then people may have changed their mind about him, he is not the same player in the Liverpool team right now as they have not got the players that compliment him. Yeah he plays his 50 yard passes and a decent majority come off, there is no way only 1 in 5 makes it, and the majority of times it works by starting counter attacks etc. But i do agree he often ignores the easy passes. Wednesday was a perfect example, we looked bereft of ideas and endeavor until Gerrard started to drop deep and collect the ball/helped break up play. And its not like he doesn't know how to stick to his position, i am sure if asked he would, but it is clear he is utilised in a more of a free role.
  23. Bit of a pointless 5 year plan to get to the Prem though, without cash. And TBF, you do keep replying to everyone about the fact we MUST have money due to the constant 5 year plan bleating and cash we have spent etc, so you must believe it.
  24. Ok, i'll say it................Beattie
  25. WOW Saints are doing charity work and all of a sudden we have the agenda monkeys all over it. Is there anything you lot wouldn't moan about.
