  1. Indeed, and for some reason needed to carry out a full physical, which was weird.
  2. 2 years ago, and they are still taking on people now. Plenty of jobs left like it, depending on the industry and what your priorities are. I had to take an 8k paycut originally, not that it started on crappy money but i was already in a decent position. Sometimes you need to realise you have to go backwards to go forwards. (same as Saints ) Many many employers are going down the apprenticeship, trainee positions line because it allows them not only to get who they want, but save money by going straight to the Uni's and saying 'i will put 20 people through a year if you can give me an offer for education' and also to ensure that the graduates that are employed also have on job skills and not just pub golf.
  3. It might be, XP had a wonderful knack of completely f*cking itself up after a while i seem to recall. Just ensure that everything you want to be backed up is backed up first and pretty much only do it if you really know what you are doing. The recovery snapshot is something that certain programmes will perform, Windows has one but i can't remember the XP one, there is a Norton one and a few others. What it will do is take a snapshot of the drive either at time based or at the touch of a button intervals and will create an image that can be re-cloned onto the drive if ever needed.
  4. God i can't remember back to my IT days. I don't think folders show up sizes when you view them within the 'c' drive, however if you do not have massive programmes, nor do you have data on it then essentially i think you may have an issue. UNLESS of course you have some sort of data recovery programme taking a snapshot of the data drive and storing the image on the 'c' drive, i know some crude programmes do this by pretty much taking a flat copy of one drive to another. If this is the same system that is taking 20 hours to rip from a DVD then you may be in a spot of bother. How long have you had the system ?? Used it without ever reinstalling ?? When this is all done and you have any electricity supply issues i'll do my best to help with that aswell
  5. What OS are you using ?
  6. No it is not
  7. Yes they did, but they were a pair of the most technically gifted of players of their time. A similar player these days would be the likes of Ronaldinho, incredible technically and so able to get away with the odd drink or so extra. What with the main bulk of players these days you need to be very much at the peak physically and this is often a big factor in decided what league you play in. Pace, stamina and strength are massive massive attributes that are considered as pretty much a necessity in the game these days, this is why IMO players need to stay in peak shape physically between the years of 18-35. It is hardly a long time is it ?? Especially when earning upwards of 10k a week FFS.
  8. Your remove/add programmes will not take into account any actual data on the drive, by this i mean pictures, videos, documents, music etc etc etc. Could you be harbouring large amounts of this on the hard drive ??
  9. No i don't, its a hole that takes 45 mins to get served in. Whats the point in having a sqaure bar and only have 2 bar men ??? Sorry hold on I apologise about the outburst in regards to the christmas adverts. But seriously, i mean, October ?
  10. Quality, Gutted i only got to watch the highlights and couldn't stay in and watch the whole final day on my ass.
  11. TBF, i can see what he was getting at. It can sometimes be a shame that graduates find it hard to find a job when leaving uni, but TBF, i would never entertain creating a mammoth debt for pretty much under 50% chance of getting a job at the end of it, and have put off a lot of my mates who were thinking of embarking on that journey as that is 'where the money is' because it isn't. And i havn't even begun to talk about those that go to Uni and do pretty much useless degrees. Don't get me wrong i am a graduate, but i secured that degree and a job at the same time by applying for positions at companies and actually using a bit of nonce and showing a bit of drive by sending a few CV's around and getting my name out there. I then went to a company who funded me through and set up my on job training around my degree time whilst being paid for my job, THAT is the way to go about it. On the other side of his arguement, there are still far too many work shy people out there, if for whatever reason i lost my job i would find work anywhere to ensure some sort of income until positions arose that were perhaps more fitting of my experience, abilities and qualifications. This country makes it all too easy for some to avoid contributing anything to the economy, and unfortunately as much as i would love to fund those that are 100% genuine in regards to benefits there are far too many who flout the system.
  12. Goblets is down teh road a bit. Does quality shots downstairs but by all accounts is a bit of a dive. Everything about whitehouse is sh*te mind, everything.
  13. Was pardews loss one of the 3 ???
  14. I agree with this 100% And also believe that you should not gain any extra benefit if you have more than 2 children. Why should i pay for anymore ? There is enough free contraceptive out there to be used. And what is worse is some people are pretty much abusing the system and having children as another form of gaining an income. I heard the chancellor this morning. What a w*nker. As if removing the child benefits if you earn over 44k isn't bad enough, coming out with a sentance that says 'If you earn over this why should those paying 20% pay for your children ?' Well, why should i pay double to pay for all of the work shy and child machines out there today FFS ? There are better and easier ways out there to make much bigger dents in the national debt, but it may involve gaining a backbone and actually sorting out the mess that is the benefit system.
  15. The whitehouse ??? FFS
  16. Thank you Unfortunately its the second time its happened so i'm pretty well versed.
  17. It goes.... Lee Barnard, Barnard He's short and he's f*cking hard He glassed someone in the face And now we only have one out of form striker
  18. I'm going to hospital Monday for a cruciate ligament reconstruction so probably not much use !!
  19. I remember one with DMG smashing a kebab in someones face. I hope this isn't true, i guess we will find out in due course.
  20. Its confidence, not anything else i don't think. Just have a look through the pictures from the Bompey game on the OS. Its amazing the reaction and passion from him and his fellow players. Thats not a reaction from or to a player who doesn't want to be here. Confidence is a massive massive thing on the football pitch and even more so for a striker. If you lack it your whole game goes to pot, it really is strange. I once went through a season and scored 42 in 16 games, i then went to a decent team and just didn't feel up to it, and promptly couldn't hit a barn door. The manager tried to steady my nerves, my teammates and father tried but nothing happened. Then all of a sudden you get a break, start scoring and it starts working. I have also tried to coach it out of players, it doesn't work, you need to just keep faith for as long as you can (but not indefinately) and hope it comes off. I reckon the two pens may be a good start but he will still have the open play arguement in his head and so until he burys one or two he may still be a bit off form. More to the point we havn't got anyone to replace him anyways which is a massive deal ATM. I also know a player who is sh*te when he plays with his mates in 11 a side, they get on his back easily and it doesn't help. He then proceeds to play 6 a side or 11 a side to help out a couple of guys at work and plays absolutely blinding. Its a strange thing is confidence, but without it your nothing. It is cliche but so true.........................Class is permanent, form is temporary.
  21. Got a real dilemma on the go ATM, i only started my new job a few weeks ago, i really can't take the time off tbf. I may have to tape the whole day and then hope to god nobody tells me what happens all day.
  22. That was a fantastic day of golf, summed up by Poulters defiant fist raise at the end there. Bloody f*cked off i have to go to work tomorrow.
  23. Perhaps Baj and Steve need to take a step back on the moderation front, they are doing a decent job with the forum but let someone else police it. I know it is hard what with libel and all that but you need to rely on your team to stop that. And tbf we all understand the whole libel issue, personally i don't think much would ever come of it but if it were me and there was a chance i probably wouldn't risk it. This will also give Steve more time to carry on with some of his blogging on THIS site and Baj to....well....keep the site going and write songs or something. I also still think you need to bring a wider audience into the Saintsweb podcasts, it can still be edited etc but would bring more objectivity to the arguement. Just a few thoughts anyways. Would also be interesting to hear Baj and Steves thoughts on what they WANT the new era to be like ? Or what changes need to be made ?
  24. Well, there we go. Maybe it was purely on the decision by Cortese, which is a bit strange. I am not Pardews biggest fan, however even i would not have sacked him quite so quickly. Unless of course relationships really were strained at the club, in which case i suppose it would be far better to remove him earlier rather than later i suppose as now Adkins has more of a chance to galvinise the season as it is early on. I doubt we will ever know what went on, personally i can't warm to Pardew and never could. He seems slimy and egotistical. It would be good to have words from Cortese to counter act those made my Pard's today, but we never will rightly or wrongly. What has happened has happened now, i just hope we can push on. Adkins looks like he is instilling some good football into the lads, possession attractive football that hopefully we can work on and perfect for when we are premiership bound. And i can also only hope that perhaps if it was Corteses impatience he may well have learnt to stay off the managers back so early on. But then this thing happens in football, look at Paolo Soasa and the amount of managers that have lost their jobs early.
