These are the same fans that boo'd our first few games under Pardew though right ?? TBF, i wasn't a massive fan of Pardews, that was pretty obvious. I did however feel he should have been given longer (if he WAS sacked for results/dislike). I just don't buy the fact that he was sacked due to results or dislike, it just doesn't make sense to sack him now without a replacement, Cortese has spent too much time in business for that. I would never get rid of a vital member of my staff, without a replacement no matter how much i hated him UNLESS he did something seriously wrong or i had a replacement and i have only had a short managerial career thus far. The not hearing anything for me holds more water on the gross misconduct side. If i was sacked for no reason i would rather protect myself, perhaps even waive the compensation in order to protect my career. Rumours of squad unrest, happenings on the training ground and asuch don't sit well with potential employers. As for the club, they don't really gain by keeping quiet, or saying anything. If it was gross misconduct they would be protecting the victim, or even just being professional. Equally we don't know if there are legals rumbling around. They are not really driving fans away, they will be back when results pick up. Perhaps Pardew waived compensation IF the club kept quiet ? Thing is, everyone has ideas and theories, i have heard things, i expect others have heard other things. In the most the truth won't ever really come out. Most still don't know the reasons behind any of our managerial sackings in the past few years, even under Lowe when the club had many voices. All i know is whether it was misconduct or NC not getting on then it clearly wasn't going to work, and i am glad it is sorted early when we are still well in the thick of things then later and seriously damage our season.

I don't get what there big issue is really. Many many firms start work before recieving any cash, infact, many firms these days (big firms) have rediculous 180 days payment from the invoice date. Don't get me wrong, many shouldn't have to do this but most small contractors will fulfill the contract and get paid in dribs and drabs, my guess is they tried to play the big one as they know saints have the cash. Worrying nothing is sorted yet however.

Depends where you go. Pilgrim house buffet is f*cking amazing, but then they don't sit the food around you order as much as you want individually.

CRACKING GOAL THE SWISS !! Anywho, we look far too good for them and back to Johnson I feel Saints need to give a video of him to Puncheon, and tell him to be more direct and stop slowing down play. I think he has the ability to play like johnson AT THIS LEVEL. (that doesn't mean i think he should be replacing him in the england squad pedants)
-
Why didn't we use Johnson in the World Cup

Not 100% convinced by Barry, if only Hargreaves had 2 decent knees

I just don't get the infactuation with Lampard, he is not a complete midfielder in the same respect that Gerrard is, also Gerrard is now playing in the role he played in when we beat Germany 5-1 and were unbeaten with him in the team. He can influence the game, sit if he needs, burst forward if he needs. Liverpool see more goals from him as they build a team around him, in a similar situation that Chelsea build around Lampard. With England we can't do that, so it comes down to who works best with the system, and that man is Gerrard. I still believe if we didn't f*ck around so long with the Lampard/Gerrard experiments we would have seen more success by now.

Keegan ?? I'd rather Howe

And getting the best out of Gerrard, probably teh most wasted England player ever.

I used to do a bit of rock climbing, that was alright. Done caving, that was alright. Always wanted to do bunjee jumping or jump out of a plane or something. I find the thing i seem to always go back to is getting boll*cksed with the lads mind.

Carroll is far from convincing me yet.

this, win ratio isn't that relevant in this league with our cash and in fact isn't that good when you weigh it up
-
He did ok, not great He was a planner not a decisive, reactive manager. 8/10 managers would have finished the season like he did last year. Wasted a chance to be in the npc on a tin pot trophy. tactically 1 dimensional failed to strengthen egotistical and after what i have heard deserves to go

Yeah big mistake with the baldness, tried it once, never again. I have a nice carpet on mine, like a welcome rug. But only a thin one and not for rubbing your shoes in -
No its a blip, Saints will still go back to the better than england days mark my words. How anyone can think England are better than us when we have such caliber as Pulis AND wotton on the bench.
-
I wasn't Pardews biggest fan, everyone probably knew that before the sacking, he just didn't set the world alight for me but hey ho me and you have already discussed his merits so i won't start again, everyones opinion is different etc. I can't see anyone having a pop at Lambert though, he is just off colour, which worries the f*ck out of me as it seems our entire game plan at times revolves around him.
