  1. Just back from the game.... Utter...utter sh*te Jaidi looked slow, cumbersome and lacked any awareness of where his man was, Austin made the free kick it look theatrical but he let him past and the 2nd goal was all Jaidi's fault. Lambert looked like he didn't want to be there. Hammond can't pass for toffee. Gully looked out of place, only wants ball to feet and never in front of him. Punch looked good but never releases early enough. Fonte was class, but if i was him i would have wondered what the f*ck i was doing in the red and white tonight. The ref was on crack. And the saints fans in the Northam end, on the players backs in minutes.
  2. What if Pardew had lost motivation but refused to walk and so lose his payoff ?? Surely then he needed to go. TBH he failed last season, after asking for extra funds. Lets see who we get in to replace him.
  3. True, i still think if this is the case and NC really wanted rid he should have done so last season, and got someone in early. OR perhaps pardew tried it on with NC's missus ?
  4. He did well at Middlesborough TBF, but then failed miserably at England. And considering some few on here believed the mighty saints could take on and perhaps beat England (lol) then i don't think he is good enough.
  5. I still reckon Pardew had clearly had enough and lost motivation but refused to walk. No point keeping someone in a job who is not commited.
  6. Dog..................I don't know what to do here, whether to respond sarcastically or sensibly.
  7. Thats speculating that Pardew was in charge of transfers ?? With our development centre stuff with Reed, Dodd, hunter etc and the scouts it has been said there was some sort of team including Pardew that discussed the potential transfers, so the way i look at it is even without AP we may still be in the market for a few players.
  8. And the point of this thread with a million others is ?
  9. Right decision but bad timing IMO. Pardew clearly wasn't backed, and he f*cked up last season by falling short after asking for extra funds. He is tactically unispiring also. But why oh why didn't NC just stick to his guns at the end of the season and get shot ? He would have got grief from fans etc but would be ok again now and the new man could have signed who he wanted etc for this season. Honestly i wouldn't be surprised if Pardew had completely lost interest but refused to walk, thats my take on the goings on. In which case i am glad it is done, NC really needs to deliver a top manager now, if only to appease our big stars.
  10. Because he is not good enough basically. He did ok at West Ham but not great and has been banging on about it ever since. TBF, if he was properly backed he would have done well for us but seeing he clearly wasn't i am glad he has been given the boot early, no point dragging it out. I just wish that it was done at the end of the season so we could have bedded in a new man over the pre-season break. Thats what i am p*ssed off at NC for, not the sacking but the timing. Zola, Southgate, Blackwell could all do better jobs. I would even welcome Howe but think we need a biggish name in order to keep our best players (lallana, fonte, Lambert) at the club.
  11. Lol Pardew won't get anywhere near a premiership team ffs
  12. Knees, keep the best players out of teams.
  13. true, and they all go up for the public vote, the loser gets eaten.
  14. That is a face of a man who never answers PM questions.
  15. Its probably to do with Oil or some sh*t, such is the world ATM
  16. Why is it Antonio has become such a god since he has left us ?? I actually want us to sign him so everyone will just get over it and go back to the realisation that he blew hot and cold
  17. THIS !!! Strange, i was thinking the other day that Zola would be a good stab in the dark IF Pardew was sacked.
  18. He is meant to be a good up and coming young player and very mature for his age, i'm going to watch this one with vested interest. Saw him play a few times on trial, he looks pretty good IMO.
  19. Personally i think he might make it as a championship level striker in the end as opposed to a winger, i will be very surprised however if he ends up plying his trade regularly in the premiership or equivalent.
  20. Weller made them though IMO, and he is even more impressive on his own, just look at his heavy soul album (although he has gone a bit sh*t with his last two offerings) i still may get down and have a watch though, i do like the jam. 'Butterfly collectoooors'
  21. He is getting married in Ireland, so will still be away
  22. I wouldn't suggest the formation if the team wouldn't work. And IMO it would, without Lambert up top leading the line in the 451 it probably wouldn't be as effective but with everyone fit i think it definately would. Drogba is the finest striker on the planet ATM also.
  23. Wow Literally the opposite to what i see as i find his team selections good, 451 is a winning one, why anyone thinks it is defensive is beyond me. He is very articulate in his interviews, comes over very well and always says the right things. Every team will win a few from a losing position. I just don't understand why he makes subs so late and sometimes doesn't change anything at all. But thats football, all opinions.
