Exactly, you will never know a player will be a 100% success, no matter how good he is. History is littered with world class players failing to make the grade when they move clubs. (shevchenko, Kaka etc) You just identify targets that should improve the team and hope they work out. Gully is a 'low' risk, f*ck me alps you would be the first to p*ss and moan if we signed him permanent and he didn't work out !! I don't know what game you were watching, Spurs have been pretty dominant IMO. I think they will do quite well. Its good seeing bale going from strength to strength, i sometimes wonder what would have been had we stayed in the prem, what with Crouch, Bale, Walcott all perhaps still wearing the red and white. I might but a cheeky tenner on Spurs to win it, they must be big odds and no worse than liverpool all that time back (which i won £330 on )

Well, we sound like we gave them a game and kept it respectable. So all good really, i don't really care much for bolton or the league cup, just the league so in my eyes this game gave us chance to pick up injuries and so dent our league charge.
