Has he honestly only won 1 header in 28 games ?? Wow, that is pretty impressive. I agree with 70's mike, set the team up nice and simple, use the width and allow the midfield to play. Got to go for it now. Davis James Size Perry Skacel BWP DMG Surman Holmes Euell Saga -
I was not saying i was better then anybody ? Not saying i was more qualified or anything of the sort ?? My opinion is not better then anybody elses and i have never said this ?? Everyone is entitled to an opinion and i would listen to anybody. I didn't say it in order to be make it seem as though 'my opinion is better then yours' i have never been like that and never would, personally i believe people that are short sighted enough only to see their own opinion as right are t**ts (andy gray springs to mind) As i said before, it was just to say if i can notice the obvious why couldn't wotte ?? Do i need to prevent attacks ?? No, i don't think i do, if somebody really wants to attack something i have said they can ?? I have never felt on this forum that anybody dislikes my opinions ?? Other than that, i don't really understand your point. :smt017

GET IN THERE !!!!!!!!!!!! Beat top of the league 3-2

I did think that, he really did get some stick, i said why are they booing him ? to which my dad replied i think it is primus, it clearly wasn't. The air shot was one of the best moments, that and the massive cheer for one of charltons goal kicks cos they thought it was a penalty, both classic.
-
Well, i for one do not rate him but we are all entitled to our opinions. He would have been more effective if he played on the left though, so he could actually go round the full back instead of trying to figure out how best he could avoid using his right foot. In my opinion the player himself did not changed the game but the fact that it stretched the midfield a bit and allowed more room, he hugged the touchline and provided an outlet which was what we needed from the start.

For one the point i was trying to make is that i am not an experiance manager and if i could notice all the obvious faults with the team along with about 27k then how the hell did Wotte manage to miss it ??? I am worried about poor thompson because he is young and all that wotte managed to do today was to get the fans on his back and so possibly damage his confidence. The diamond formation can work but the team has to be a lot more dynamic and if we are just punting the ball up the field then you need somebody to play off the front man, and completely agreed the midfield was too far back. Plus wotton did pretty much play as a 3rd center back but managed to provide nothing for the team (as usual)

When is the game ?? i am F***ing gutted i can't play but will come and watch. -
I like grapes

Have to say though, jonjo shelvy was by far the MOTM, he had so much energy and desire.
-
Now is not the time for a new manager, now is the time for a commited performance, problem is we have not got the sort of player to put the boot in, nuff said.

Tell you what.... F**k it, i have managed at tyro level and i have had enough, personally i agree i have championed wotte's record so far but watching today was ********. I agree with alpine, i agree with those that call against Wotte on todays game, i apologize because normally i would say, let him have time etc etc. Today was different and i invite anyone that disagrees for the next txt to argue and i would post my response (i can agree i am wrong if proved wrong, this is just my opinion) I have coached for 6 years and managed for 2, i understand how different the levels are but you understand the basics. OK Those that argue against SAGA and Euell ?? HOW ?? The lack of service was obvious ? Euell tried his best with what he had (although agreed he missed some sitters agreed!!!) The midfield was set up all wrong, DMG played his heart out with what he could, great goal (though made by euell that dragged CB out of position) and he hounded and played as well of euell as he could. Wotton is S**t but we knew this before, he is slow, can't pass and the tackles he makes are slow and cost free kicks. Lallana and surman, we all know this, Surman is out of form and i think are suffering from emotion. (Although lallana i think has fantastic technique but tactically unaware) The midfield lacked bite, even with wotton !!!! Thompson, ok, i understand, he was bad, but guys, he is NOT a right back !! He looked lost, i felt very very sorry for him, and i would like to know opinions on what i am about to say. It was NOT his fault, he was placed at right back and i think Wotte has damaged his confidence by playing him there. I know he can attack but going forward he looked worried, he never beat the left back (that was not primus BTW) Size played ok (he looks like a new svensson as in the fact he can play) he went forward with the ball and passed it well, perry also played ok, he read he game well and made key clearances, Charlton set up well however and played Kandol off of Thompson (who we all know is not a right back) and bullied perry. Seriously though i cannot believe that Wotte did not realise that jake was out of his depth before he did, i seriously feel sorry for the guy, i seriously worry for his confidence, i understand the fans issue but he was MADE to play there and we all know he is not a right back. But what really confused me was BWP on the LEFT and Ryan Smith on the RIGHT !!!! I think every tactically knowledged fan knew that we needed width, we screemed it, but playing a right sided player on the left and a CLEARLY only left sided player on the right!!! Seriously ?? Am i the only one that realises that R Smith is crap ?? and looks lost when he has to make a decision to use his right foot ? I apologise if i have said anything that is incorrect however i welcome any objection to my observations.

People do anything for a p!ss

There has been trouble up there for both the away games (past two seasons) and the home game last season, i have no idea why, there just has been. Does not surprise me that it kicked off, we seem to have a minority at the club at the moment that will fight anyone including each other.

Is hatch injured ????
-
What the hell was john solako (bad spelling i know) doing in kingsland ??
-
I have to say though most of the support today was fantastic, crap performance aside it was good to see the stadium full again and to hear the support, kept singing even after the first goal.
-
The only hostility i saw in the kingsland corner was when the fans left on 70 mins, bloody disgrace aswell if you ask me. That and the nob that spat over everyone whilst shouting about how he had won 100 quid on the grand national and then asked for a fight with the bloke about 4 times his size. Nice one mate.... everyone else was here for the football
-
Davis - 8 - Good performance, vocal and brave, good penalty save Tompson - 4 - Did all he could, atleast he tried to keep it simple, disagree with some, he didn't attack enough, he has pace but never tried to beat the full-back. Size - 5 - Done ok, made a few mistakes. Perry - 7 - Did all he could, still reads the game well Skacel - 5 - Did ok again, gave a left sided option, looked dodgy at the back though. Lallana - 4 - Some nice touches, he needed to hound and get stuck in today.. he didn't Surman - 4 - Has not looked right for me for a couple of games McGoldrick - 5 - Good finish, i thought he put some effort in today Euell - 6 - Ran around, held it up, crap in front of goal Saga - 6 - Again ran around but got no massive service, he was never going to beat the back 4 in the air. Subs: BWP - 6 - Changed the game gave some width and desire. Liptak - 4 - Had to be marked i suppose, he did ok, won some headers. Smith - 5 - Had a better game then usual but he is so left footed whats the point of playing him on the right, the time he ran at the back 4 they looked worried but he can't use his right foot ?? He looked like he was lost to me. Like i said, we lost this in midfield, no battle and too narrow simple.
-
Can't believe the result to be fair. Wotte got it all wrong in my opinion, how did he fail to spot how out of depth thompson was until 20 mins before the end ?? Also missed Gillet massively today, Wotton just has not got the engine. No width, no bottle in the middle of the park and TBF Euell although he holds the ball up well and wins a few headers is hopeless in front of goal. I just don't understand really, then we play with 2 strikers in the middle and bring on Ryan Smith who didn't play as bad as usual but he just looks lost and is completely left footed. I summed him up, my mates dad came for the first time this season and when smith came on i said. 'Smiths coming on, he is hopeless on his left foot' Dads mate ' really ??' Me ' yeah, unfortunate really cos he is left footed !' I really dispair, fair play to the fans though, done their bit.

For christ sake, whatever your issues the fact they have made a contribution to saints is the main thing. As far as i am concerned, let bygones be bygones, whatever helps the club move forward. Get over the pettiness and get behind saints ? We can argue when all is said and done.

Smirking_Saint replied to Tac-tics's topic in The Saints
absolutely the very best, wow, if true then these two are absolutely comendable. Fair play to them, i know everyone says about footballers wages but it is different circumstances, would you forfeit wages ?? -
Plus, i am beginning to do a greame le saux and really am beginning to believe blades are ********. They cause too many injuries. Yeah they grip well but some times you need them to let go !!!!!!!!!! Beware
