Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official
Smirking_Saint replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Who exactly has failed ? They are all at bigger clubs on more money. Listen, I am very happy we have done what we have, it puts all the pressure on Clyne as opposed to it being the other way around. He is a great player, and we should be offering a top wage of around 70-80k IMO (considering the TV deal and our top 4 'ambition'). If he isnt interested then we need to get as much as we can and get an adequate replacement (im not sure trippier is) -
I find PMT must be a bit like being drunk, in the respect that everyone suspects you might be drunk, but nobody is actually allowed to say it

Apologies CL, we've come a long way since GYTOFTLgate, I should know better
-
Ill stick my head above the parapit here, now, I thought it was a load of new nonsense too, but look at how far we have come in so little time. Its an amazing journey. Now, I agree we have no where near the pulling power or resources of the top 4. And out of the next 3-4 we are probably the weakest in that area (everton, spurs, liverpool, us) but with the right investment, academy products and decent acquisitions we may be able to at the very least compete. That said, its more than just saying its our aim, the board need to match that with wages and signings.

Its not really sparring is it ? Its pretty much the debate equivalent of you arm wrestling a paraplegic
-
It was pushing artistic boundries but something needs to wake the muppet show up, its bleak and dormant, quiet, cold and untouched.... Like a nuns... Well... You know I get you're point, twas possibly reaching but we all need to do our bit... So..... Have you ever thought about breastfeeding goats at KFC ? For the muppet show

You are weird

It wont happen again, we got away with it last year, asset stripping was a bit far but you cant blame people for being worried over the summer. Thankfully everything seems organised, looking forward to this pre-season
-
Why ? He isnt good enough
-
So this is the season GoT completely moves away from the books then ? I think its a good thing, knowing whats going to happen has spoiled many of the big moments for me. But as a massive fan of the books its hard to not be infuriated

He can dream

Like clockwork

So are you saying that Labour are the rag tag bunch of dwarfs with hopes pinned on a hapless hobbit that doesnt really know whats going on but wants to be loved ? The same dwarfs which caused smaug to burn the world once and foolishly want to do it again ? Thats a pretty good analogy pap

He didnt put a a foot wrong other than that though to be fair to him. Looks a better and better cb every game he plays
-
By electrical engineer do you mean that they test those tennis racquet fly swatters on your head ?
-
I think serious questions need to be asked
-
Yet the same IFS claims that Labour will need to borrow 90b in order to deliver their own manifesto. TBH I think its pretty shoddy work by both parties
-
Nonetheless its headline making and vote turning. The tories arent doing enough, and Camerons decision not to debate doesnt help.

Nothing professional, did a bit for Saints community when I was younger, coached for a kids coaching company for a bit, now I coach Saturday league. Read a lot though, watch a lot of coaching stuff so I enjoy it more than anything. Id love to go into professional coaching and had opportunity but theres no real money there unless you're very lucky. For those reasons I really admired what Poch brought to the team.
-
If he was consistantly doing this all season we'd still be battling for a top 4 spot IMO. Unfortunately he went off the boil after christmas. Hopefully he kicks on now and finishes the season well
-
In fact it is the same people isnt it, its the same jumper So its obviously just been made up
-
Yeah I can agree with that, Koeman allows a bit more of a risk to his game, where as Poch was possession for possessions sake, as you would expect from a follower of Bielsa. I loved watching Poch, as a coach myself the effort that must of gone into that training is breathtaking, you cant play a high press without effective 'triggers' it was a joy.

They look like the same people

There isnt a lot of difference between how we set up under poch and how we set up under koeman IMO. The main being that poch employed a high press and Koeman prefers better defensive organisation.
