Clyne and Bertrand make England squad
Smirking_Saint replied to Smirking_Saint's topic in The Saints
Spot on really I dont envisage him getting much game time really, he'll play the usual 433/4231 stuff with rooney through the middle, the majority of the squad picks itself. He has Sterling and Barkley not to mention Walcott and lallana back. For once Englands real issue is in CM, a problem we've not really had over the years. No real holding midfielder, probably Wilshere the best of the lot (if he turns up and stays fit), Delph and Henderson are pretty uninspiring -
Clyne and Bertrand make England squad

Because we need to fill a squad place and Southgates been told his 'picks' take priority. What are hodgsons alternatives in reality ? Downing ? Zaha ? Puncheon ? Is Vardy good enough... No... Not imo, but I hope he grabs the opportunity -

Its a strange situation certainly but I think Im happier with a stronger u21s line up, I wouldnt imagine Vardy is going to get an aweful lot of game time anyway, and Id rather the likes of Kane etc get more U21s experience instead of a couple of pretty meaningless games. -

Couple of points 1. We are a former club ? So where is the hypocrisy 2. Arsenal are suited to Morgan, and would benefit greatly from that signing (really dont see why you're getting your knickers in a twist, its an opinion he isnt their lead scout) 3. Koemans tactics really arent far from poch, who himself was a great manager for us 4. Redknapp did play Walcott first, so whether or not he 'discovered' him he could probably get away with saying it Were you drunk when the rant took over David ? As it just goes to show the fickleness of football supporters, are we going to see a post berating Koeman in a couple of years ?

That midfield is reasonably impressive aswell, considering it could have included sterling, barkley and ox. Still unsure where the senior cb replacements are going to come from. Stones is ok, dier looks a bit dodgy whenever I see him CB. Im comfortable with Chambers but think he needs to play more. None of which look to be a replacement for Terry or even cahill -
It means diddly squat if they arent ready to step up, last year you had Chambers, JWP and Shaw. None of the others, apart from reed are that close to being a better option than what we have in what is essentially a fight for our highest ever finish. Slattery is a good player, but yes, I think he and his parents are aware and he was at one point quite vocal about being regularly watched by chelsea and arsenal. The rumour was at one time one of those two had all but signed him. He is an Adidas athlete too, and those sponsors are known to pressurise. Considering the fact he is 16 however may be a reason why he was 'vocal' as most kids that age like a boast. Gallagher looks to me the most likely but again he isnt ready yet so expect him to go out on loan. Id also expect Seager to go out too. Next year you may well see stephens, reed and hesketh, possibly sims too

To be fair you having the lastword is like farting on your deathbed.......

A biggish injury tends to trigger off a load of minor injuries. I dont personally think he is anywhere as good as he/liverpool fans think he is, Suarez made him look very good.

Top 5 ?!? Hmm, as I said I dont post so much so dont get to sample as much 'variety' as Id like. Most of my options come from a footballing perspective, I try not to post too much in the lounge, I find myself reasonably outgunned, though a lot of it tends to be because I get bored and dont come back to the thread Pap - can go a bit off on one and into attack mode at times, but tends to be an intelligent poster, gets my vote Coxford Lou - Stirling first year effort, especially due to some of the early abuse and stalking. Hypo/Jeff - Im putting these two together as I had a very low opinion a year or so ago but habe grown up and become decent posters Window cleaner - I always find him pretty much on the money footballing wise Bearsy - He is in his own category really isnt he ?

Did I get most improved because I dont bother posting as much ? I suppose its one way to do it

Calling All Employment Law or HR "Experts"

If he is in probation I think you are pretty knackered, though it stinks enough for me to want to take it further. If its the orange and black lot Im sure they wouldnt want a big song and dance out of it so it might be worth getting in touch with HR or higher management to ask them to explain themselves. -
Post-Match Reaction: Leicester City 2-0 SAINTS
Smirking_Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Exactly, gazza couldnt do much for either really. But in reality the second goal was for reasons explained above and the first was a good strike but an utter failure to put a meaningful challenge in by Davis. In fairness to davis however, why the **** was our attacking midfielder trying to that tackle ? Where exactly were the TWO defensive midfielders we deployed ? -
Yup
