  1. I quite like Utd and Spurs, both are decent footballing sides in the whole. I really enjoyed watching them today vs Leicester, Poch has got them playing decent football these days, and fair play to him and them. I dont get the Poch hate really, he left us for a club that was willing to pay more money, to provide more money and are essentially a bigger team. Thats football, that is what happens. Will he be a decent appointment for Utd, very much so in my opinion
  2. Sigurdsson Shelvey Bony Austin Townsend Any of them would do, but we need a striker, have done for a year now
  3. I might be around next week if you need me to play attacking centre back again
  4. This is the other side, I hope that this isnt the overall plan of the club, as like this year 'replacing' players does not always work
  5. I somewhat completely agree with this theory, it would be nice to get to a point where we perhaps pay enough to get a bit more longevity out of our players, for instance Everton seem to manage it pretty well, but I dont know the state of our finances to comment But there will never be a point, without man city style investment (which is largely redundant now FFP is involved and which is unlikely as we are a far smaller club) that we will keep our best players indefinitely
  6. Every player at every club is a money grabbing c*nt, in fact pretty much everyone in the world seeks one of two things, money or some other form of reward. The question needs to be asked why we seem to have so many more looking for ways out then the majority of other clubs, but then we dont seem to pay the going rate
  7. We could more use a striker that can put the ball in the net to be honest, thats our biggest issue, that said he is looking dangerous right now, but Id still rather a fully fit and on form Tadic, Manè or Rodriguez Im glad for the lad though, always seemed to give his best
  8. Agreed its been difficult for him this year, hence why Im not personally asking for him to leave, I personally think thats very short sighted, but he needs more help from the board, just spend for his 'realistic' first choice targets. As per Poch vs Koeman, we have and had two top coaches, my personal opinion is Poch is better, nobody has to agree with me on that, what would be nice is to not lose another good manager
  9. Yup, its about situations and squads too, RDM has a champions league winners medal. Not the I am specifically talking anti Koeman, I personally think he is a decent manager managing a team that is going through a bad spell right now, not helped out by 2 of our better players seemingly wanting out. Ill still maintain the fact that personally I see Poch as the better of the two. As far as Saints are concerned, I think we need to spend some money to effectively show some ambition, but we'll see. Im not going to start getting too anxious yet, there is easily 4 teams worse than us this year, and we have a bit of a history of poor December patches
  10. He always has been, I still maintain he is the best coach I have seen at St Marys in my time as a Saints supporter, he wont be at Spurs long either, think he'll land a big job within 2 seasons.
  11. So the same situation as Poch then ? Wonder if Koeman gets the same vitriol, we could do without losing another good coach
  12. Having torn a cruciate twice now I firmly believe it was due to the footwear and not anything else. You dont see bladed football boots these days but I felt that this was the issue. At first they were great, the grip you got was incredible, I found I could play on any pitch no matter how slippery the surface and Id be ok. At 18 I was running 100m for the college and a reasonable striker for the level I was playing. My gane was pretty much pace abd trickery. But unfortunately one afternoon I attempted to turn at full pace round the fullback. My boots did the job.. Staying where they were, unfortunately my knee exploded, my CB heard the pop from nearly a pitch away. It hurt.. A lot Plenty of rehab, pain, worry later and I was back. Id played a few games and was ok, Id lost some pace but was ok. One morning we were a CB short, I turned up last minute and forgotten my boots. Id decided a while ago to stop wearing blades but the only spares were bladed. I lasted 15 minutes, I took a long ball on the chest, the striker was closing me down so I turned him quickly.. My foot stayed where it was... POP. That was another 2.5 years out of action due to NHS issues etc We dont see blades any more really, but I imagine its still boot 'grip' related. Either that or the sheer amount of drills and game time they get through at the moment.. Or both.
  13. I prefer Krakow to Prague, for me its a slightely less tourist prague, still very much as pretty, cheaper, the people are friendly and enough to do and keep you entertained. Easily the same level of history aswell. If it is prague though December will be cold, bring your thermals, worth it though as the snow brings out its appeal and you should have the crimbo market. Get off the beaten track for cheap beer and decent food, I managed to haggle some free drinks in a restaurant that wanted our custom. Must try a Goulash in one of their sourdough buns too. Theres a tower you can go up and look over the city, perfect if you have a missus, give it a miss if not ! Also theres a beer museum somewhere which was ace.
  14. Spot on as per usual Mr Fry, seen enough of Gallagher and Reed to form an opinion now, Gallagher for me doesnt look good enough for the level we are aiming at, certainly isnt ready to feature yet, best thing the club can do is get him some game time at a reasonable championship club and see what develops. Reed certainly can do a job but he isnt reliable for the game Koeman wants to play full time, he just isnt expansive enough yet. Again get him to the right club and he may well develop into a tidy little player but he isnt there yet. Its only really Targett and JWP that look ready right now from the academy, and Im not completely won over by Targett yet.
  15. Lol at overrated, as a player I think he is excellent, has the right work ethic, technically very good, picks the right passes. Shame he has had so many injuries, darren anderton mk II

  23. Cannot wait, love this series, loved Skyrim too but prefered fallout.
  24. Saints had a bid in.... Correct... (Well, not a bid but we lodged interest) But the info I got was due to family issues he wasnt keen on a move south. I believed at the time that it was Everton that were in the driving seat early last summer. For whatever reason that didnt materialise. Obviously I didnt want to mention what I heard re family issues.
