  1. One of many issues I know, but surely it's time to bin off Bertrand as captain? Was pathetic at times v City, walking back into the box to 'defend'. Hojbjerg seems to be one of the only natural leaders in the squad and now he's a regular it makes more sense to give him the armband, especially as he's the only player with a pair of balls to face the cameras after an embarrassing defeat. Any other contenders? Yoshida and Davis are national team captains but aren't playing. Ings?
  2. We'll be playing Sunderland again soon, the way we're going...
  3. Torquay in the JPT after being 2-0 down.
  4. To be fair, with the exception of those that look after the finances, if we took the fans out of the Chapel I doubt anyone would notice the difference.
  5. But got a good result.
  6. Promes just scored in the Champions League for Spartak Moscow. What could have been.....
  7. In terms of minutes on the pitch last season (league and Europa League), he averaged a goal or assist just over every other game. No idea what that’s like in comparison to our strikers though.
  8. Jeremy Wilson: “Transfer deadline expectations at Arsenal: No more ins. Perez to West Ham. Maybe a move for Welbeck but far from agreed while other possible outs abroad, such as Ospina, will probably drag further into August”
  9. Sounds like he'll fit right in.
  10. Suspect the only way we could offload him before the window close is on loan, subsiding most of the wages. Then it would just be a case of hoping he does well wherever he goes and that prompts X club to want to buy him permanently.
  11. We'll finish 12th. City will win the league, hopefully beating Liverpool to it via a last minute goal to bring more tears from LOLvren. Huddersfield, Cardiff and Watford to go down. Derby to win the Championship ahead of Stoke in 2nd.
  12. Trying to sell Gallagher to bring in Ings: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6834928/stoke-city-southampton-sam-gallagher-gary-rowett/
  13. Seems as if Newcastle are trying to sign Rondon, which may in turn lead to them selling Mitrovic. Newcastle want upwards of £15m.
  14. Looked a constant threat in the World Cup. He'd be a great addition.
  15. Already signed for Betis.
  16. All done: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/16251744.Hughes_appointed_Saints_manager/
  17. Suspect it'll be 5 at the back again: ------------------------McCarthy-------------------------- --Cedric---Stephens---Bednarek---Hoedt-----Bertrand-- ---------------------Romeu--Lemina(if fit)--------------- --------------Tadic--------------------------Redmond---- --------------------------Austin--------------------------- An absolute travesty that we've ended up with those 3 as our centre-backs. I can see the argument of playing Long, but we might not get many chances and I think if we all had the choice of which striker that one-on-one or clear-cut chance falls to, we'd want it to be Austin. It's going to be f_cking excruciating. Win or bust. Can't see us having enough unfortunately = 1-1.
  18. -------------------McCarthy--------------- --Cedric---Bednarek--Yoshi---Bertrand- ------------Romeu---Hojbjerg---------- --Redmond-------JWP----------Tadic-- ------------------Austin---------------- Subs: FF, Stephens, Hoedt, McQueen, Sims, Long, Gabbiadini
  19. Just sums up what a pathetic, happy clappy, soft, nicey nicey atmosphere those running the club have created. The drums are just one example of that, along with giving out about 50 flags to the Kingsland yesterday, that 'Our Way' song and employing that kn0b on the mic. The players have a similar soft as sh_t mentality on the pitch too, so it's little wonder our home record for the past two seasons has been nothing short of embarrassing.
  20. Shame they didn't practice actual defending.
  21. The only team I can now see us finishing above (and only on goal difference) is Brighton. That's if we get 7 points from the last 5 and they don't get a single point. Our games: Leicester - Win Bournemouth - Win Everton - Loss Swansea - Draw M City - Loss Their games: Spurs (Home) Burnley (Away) Man United (Home) Man City (Away) Liverpool (Away) Unlikely all round. We're 95% down and it's a travesty that we'll be in Championship next season.
  22. 1) They're not winning at the moment either. We need 3 wins from 6, IMO 2) Yep. Needs to find the balance Saturday though 3) Carillo was a horrific signing. Boufal's a luxury player so not ideal for now but worth putting on the bench for a bit of inspiration should we need it. Lemina will be back, Gabbi off in the summer whether we stay up or not 4) Well yeah. Chelsea have nothing else to play for but the FA Cup now though so I can't see us causing an upset 5) Not sure exciting is the right word 6) Bugger knows 7) Yes In summary, we could be 6 points adrift by 5pm Saturday which would be a big mental blow. Chelsea is must-win, but aren't they all...
  23. If we draw Spurs, it'll be about 400.
  24. 1. Manager 2. Nicey nicey, soft, 'small club' mentality harbored and pushed out by Reed, Kruger and co. 3. The feeling that we'll never win at St Mary's again 4. No connection to the ownership whatsoever and their obvious naivety/lack of care about the situation we are currently in 5. The woeful atmosphere amongst the support caused by all the above
