I know that they brought another ST on at half-time but we were on top right up until he made that sub. It just invited the pressure and the sh_te he spouted afterwards that the full-backs were too short was just to cover for him admitting that he lost his bottle....again. Thought Cedric and Hojbjerg stood out - great work rate and used possession well. Win's a win in the cup. Coventry away next round please.
-
Just sell him the 'we'll sell you to a big club in a couple of years if you do well' line.
-
Not fussed about this one. ------------------McCarthy------------------ --Pied------Hoedt-----Bednarek----Targett- ------------Hojbjerg--Lemina-------------- ---Sims-----------Davis-------------Tadic-- --------------------Long--------------------

Give him a deal until the end of the season, with a bonus to keep us up. Then we can reassess in the Summer what the plan is long-term. He's far from perfect but lets be honest - he couldn't do any worse than Pellegrino currently is. This squad, with a couple of additions in obvious areas, should be finishing top 8. We need a new manager 'bounce' and need it quick. If the expected bad result comes today, make the change straight away and then he'll have enough time to come in and make an impact on the squad and sign a couple of players HE wants. The Watford FA Cup is game is irrelevant really, but we need to get it right before Brighton as that is simply must win.

Slight difference being that Spurs were sh!te then.
-
Ben Arfa....?
-
I know we're desperate for anyone in the door but more than £20m is robbery for any player that Pellegrino rates.
-
Kane hat-trick incoming.
-
Pahars v the Skates, surely?
-
Make that a hat-trick.
-
Bas Dost. Scored AGAIN for Sporting tonight.

------------------McCarthy---------------- --Pied--Stephens--Yoshia--Hoedt---Targett- -----------Romeu--Lemina--Hojbjerg------ --------------------Boufal------------------- --------------------Gabbi------------------- 2-0 Spurs. Pellegrino out. Pellegrini in.

3 part problem with the goal: 1) Too much time to cross (hideously common from us this year) 2) No marking 3) Forster static as usual

Man City L Bournemouth W Arsenal L Leicester W Chelsea L Huddersfield D Spurs L Man Utd L Palace W Watford L

They're due a result against us, big time. 3-0, same old excuses.
-
The Chelsea job came too soon, but last time I checked his win % at Spurs was on a par with Pochettino and I think the 3rd best of all time in terms of Spurs managers - they just struggled in the big games. Enticed by the money over in China but he's still only 40 and would certainly be a lot bolder than this or the last manager. Lander's HQ is in Shanghai too...not too far for Mr Jisheng to go for a chat with him...

AVB. Chinese season's just finished....
-
We'll have more than enough defensively to stave off any real relegation threat.
-
Would only make 1 change from Palace: ----------------------FF-------------------- --Cedric-----Yoshi-----Hoedt---Bertrand-- ------------Romeu---Lemina-------------- --Redmond------Davis---------Gabbi---- -------------------Long------------------- Subs: Alex Mc, VVD, Stephens, JWP, Boufal, Tadic, Austin(if fit). 1-1.

The Under 23's have won 2 league games in the past YEAR, and one of those was against Reading a few weeks back who had mainly under 18's on the pitch. The games they are losing are convincing defeats too. I'm sure Les Reed thinks Hunter/Jaidi etc are great guys and good coaches blah blah blah but surely at some point he needs to sit down with them and ask 'what the hell is going on'? After Saturday, same with the first team too. At least with Cortese, as much of a bastard that he was, he didn't accept sub-standard performances on a regular basis. He created an 'on-edge' atmosphere but if you weren't good enough, you were out. Too many players appear to be 'comfortable' at the moment.
-
The lack of pace in that team is frightening. I'd go: ----------------------McCarthy----------------- ---------Stephens-----Hoedt-----VVD-------- --Cedric--------------------------------Bertrand-- ---------------Romeu----Lemina----------------- ---------------------Davis----------------------- ---------------Gabbi-------Long---------------- Not a massive Long fan but he at least has the ability to stretch defences and he's decent enough in the air. Boufal, Redmond and Tadic haven't done enough (the latter two in particular) when given the opportunity.
-
Pellegrino out.
-
Oh do stfu.
-
Yep, would go with that side (With Stephens over Yoshida). Redmond's a very important player for us, considering the lack of pace elsewhere in the team. Quite often, when he plays well, we do in general.
