went & watched it this afternoon on the Imax screen at Leisure World, the place was packed! i have been a fanboy of the book since i was a nipper so was a bit anxious about the changes to the original story but needn't of worried. i was brilliant! as Alps said above the pacing of the story & plot was spot on & if it wasn't for my poor aching knees i wouldn't have noticed how long the film had been on. on the Imax screen it looked amazing and i was pleased the 3D wasn't the be all & end all as it is in most modern films. roll on the next 2 films in the triology. ps instead of normal trailers we were shown a 10 min clip of the next Star Trek film ! looked amazing & another film to ad to list to watch next year

i must say seeing the pet skate at work suffer as he was txt any info from court this mornig was very enjoyable he looked like he had just been to the morgue! i'm almost sad i wont be in work tomorrow so i can ask him about some of the points raised on here today.

i was also sat in the Itchen/Chapel corner & apart from the "Championee" chant at the start of the match & the odd "come on you royals" i didn't really hear much from them. we were not very loud today but the Northam & once or twice Itchen North came through loud & clear most of the time. Lovely OWTS in 2nd half from the whole ground

why did i bring up about the pagan stuff ? because the op asked what are you least looking forward to at xmas & my reply would be the church/christianity stuff to be honest.

the majority of people in this country already do it anyway without realising.all the stuff that people have said they like came from the original pagan festivals.drinking,eating, partying,xmas trees,yule logs, celebrating on the 25th etc was already part of the winter festivities when christianity came along & decided to join in due to the whim of an early pope trying to gain more followers.

instead of celebrating the birth of the baby jesus we could just celebrate all the pagan festivals that christianity piggy backed on.

so we should get rid because he has a repetitive style of handling interviews ? someone posted a link on here last week to an article from this expert in positive speaking/body languge motivational type stuff & he was creaming himself over Nigel's interviews,pointing out the techniques he employs in them. i'm sure the players are getting royaly p*ssed off with the positive,united message Nigel delivers each week & would rather he said how crap they had performed & that its all a waste of time.
