A slight silver lining to their cloud. Let's hope it's the start of better things for them. Better a Shrimp than a Skate?

I wonder if these are one and the same incident, from differing views? I noticed, in both reports, that the disturbance referred to was broken up by the 'timely intervention' of prison staff. Too 'timely' mayhap?

You seem to have conveniently omitted the Tories? As yet, though, I can't find much about any of their (Tory or Labour) MPs and party hierarchy being involved in or promoting racial hatred or violence based on that type of idealogy. Something the BNP seem quite adept at, in fact at times excelling at it!

They've stitched him up.

My point is that when I vote to get Labour into power I get all the bits I don't agree with about Labour into the bargain. So while I support most of the social care policies of Labour I don't like the idea of them going into what I feel was an unjust war. Now, I cannot go into a polling booth and start listing what I'm for or against. I get just one mark to make so I have to 'embrace' that party's policies as one. It doesn't mean I have to like them! I actually do have issues with current immigration policy but I am sure as hell not going to vote BNP purely because of that!

A fair point, which I had expected to be made (prior to your edit). As a Labour supporter I don't find much about my party that currently fills me with pride but at least i can fight for change from within. something which I fear I'd not be able to do from within the BNP!
-
Indeed! You can't support a political party because 'some of it's policies are OK'. In supporting any party you, voluntarily or not, embrace all it's dogma. Which, maybe, I should have been more clear about in my previous comment!
-
I do think that some of the BNP policies carry some weight. However while, in my opinion, 'credibility' and BNP don't sit well together I shall not be placing any of my trust in their abilities. Despite their apparent lack of credibility I shall continue to support the Labour and anti Racist/anti Fascist movements.
-
God forbid that we would think you are defending them!

I like that one, still looks a little sore though, new?

Astute and correct.

As Yul Bryner once said "etcetera, etcetera, etcetera". Love it!

Any idea how much a stick Saint might cost these days?
-
Really? I've got an inverted PFC on my chin!

Quite a journalist,TBH. Managed to get BNP and 'peaceful demonstration' into the one sentence!
-
Which is why us 'Old Labour' voters are feeling so disenfranchised.

Like this? Or this?

I had mine done when the crest was changed in the early 70's (73?) Anyway, it's on the left forearm and was done by Zak. He added his usual 'floral flourish' under the name and did squeeze the lettering in a bit. The nearest I came to regretting it was on the Tuesday after the '76 semi, when we played at nottarf. Some friendly skate told me he was going to cut it off! It's looking rather dated now and the colours have faded over the years but I'm sort of 'attached to it'!

To name a few. Claw back all ex council housing which is being let privately.* * I'm not too sure that people who have 'bought to let' will be happy with this. Presumably a BNP Government would buy these properties back at full market value and recompense any expense laid out by current owners in mortgage interest, repairs and agency fees? Give benefits only to British Citizens in a 'Workfare' scheme.** ** I think that's a fair aspiration? Bring Hospital cleaning back in house from contractors because they often employ illegal immigrants.*** *** Not sure how this happens because people employed at Hospitals (contract or direct) go through a CRB check. From what the BNP are implying it would seem that these 'illegal immigrants' only have their Criminal Record Checked? Yet agencies now openly require proof that you are entitled to work in the UK. One can only presume that the the term 'Illegal immigrant' being used is the current UK legal definition and not the BNP take on it?

Thanks for the gossip, nice to see things from an external perspective. Let's hope that we can keep Antonio.

How to celebrate a goal when you have NO FANS AT ALL

That is as funny as feck! Great humour from the player. Bet the goon in the middle booked him! -
Don't like to say, I told you so........

A totally pointless post then? -
Us Eastleigh lads were calling them Skates from about 74/5 onwards. All because the DJ in The Crown used to do the Discos in the Navy Yard and around the town of Portsmyth. He told us that the locals called the matelots 'skates' so we adopted it.

I do similar with a few of the 'Blue Meanies' that I happen to know. "I don't hate you, why should I hate you? Pity you? I most certainly do!" That gets the gander up!
