Probably a bigger share than they'll end up having under the PDT

That comment about making Fratton Park a listed building throws up some interesting possibilities. Yes, it would save it. Yes, it would make it far more worthless to Chinney et all, so in all likelyhood it would mean that pompey could play there forever (should they survive). BUT, listed building are notoriously difficult to modernise due to that very status. The authorities show great resistance to them even being refurbished to any other extent that being identical to before, so you know what's coming don't you? Having got back on there feet and having found a sound backer they want to extend FP to cater for the hoards that want to come in off southsea common. What I hear you say, why can't we knock down the south stand to make way for our new corporate boxes, that's outrageous, the world hates us. It's the local authorities fault, FL's fault, etc, etc. Ok, we'll move to a new purpose built stadium, up yours LA and FL. What? What do you mean we can't sell it for housing. The circle of heros and villains will last forever....

I don't think draws are going to them any good

Me too

I think we can afford to sacrifice one of you in the name of 'spreading the word' PS - Don't one of you have 2 accounts that you can afford to lose one of?

Surely there has to be a line where the amount borrowed crosses the FL's £5m debt carried forward ruling in relation to the ground valuation? Ignoring the other Creditors (like they do!) if the ground was worth £8m and the PDT only had £3m cash then they would have to borrow £5m. That's the line. So what's the equation? ...and does the £5m exclude the football creditors. Can't remember how it was defined by the FL.

Retweeting that last part shows pretty clearly what her agenda is Dozy cow

Ronnie Ekelund - Loved that headed goal after MLT's shot came back off the post and crossbar

Why should problems with other elements of the deal effect when the court case is anyway? Surely you get the court bit done and dusted and then everyone knows where they stand. If the Judge says 'no I won't allow you to sell the ground for £3m' then it doesn't matter a fook what the PFA will or won't accept, does it?

While the phew are still saying that all of this is 'worth it for the FA Cup win' then they have still got away with it. Only when they say they'd rather not have won the cup and avoided the heartache will the punishment be sufficient

Of course it is you scummah! It's fully funded and fully ready to go, it's just we haven't got all the money yet and we're waiting for a few things to fall into place before we can start... I know it's been said several times above but I just thought it was important that everybody on here understands that the bid IS fully funded and IS ready to go! OK? GOT THAT?...... kind of..... not

Sounds like the Palace fans have worked De Ridder out pretty quickly...

I find Hall's blogs massively hypocritical. Great research, yes, but the way he slates people and companies for bad debts, late filing of accounts, etc is just weird when it's in the name of the defence of pfc who are the worst of the worst themselves. Oh I forgot. It's not their fault is it. I hope they're gone soon, because I can't ever see them taking responsibility or renouncing the ill gotten gains

'So on the day Harris was announcing he was our Fairy Godmother and that we should go to the ball, his company was going under, owing £3m to the mysterious Gorbunenko and £1m to the taxpayer' Bit cheeky highlighting that as a stick to beat him with. How much did pompey owe the taxpayer in their last 2 administrations? £60m?

Matt's trying to adopt the skate way of doing things. Say anything enough times then it becomes true Sorry Matt, you've been great for Saints but you're sounding like a broken record now

Was going to say he tackles better than Scoles but I think it's more wrestling than tackling!

Just a very important cog in the mechanism....

Has to be the best value signing ever
-
Absolutely. I mentioned him above. I thought he was going to be trained up as a one for one replacement. I'm just not so sure that's where his strengths lie now. I can't see him picking the passes that Ricky does and I'm not sure he will ever have the composure. He'll be a damn fine player but I'm not sure he'll be a Ricky. (Sure hope I'm wrong!)

The way I see it we have great competition for places throughout the team. Maybe left back is a bit weak, Fox is no close competition for Shaw and at GK Gazza is as yet not worthy to fill an on-form Borucs boots, but what about right up top? Ricky Lambert is awesome at everything that's asked of him. Under NA I thought he could only play 60 minutes but I'm starting to think that was the case only because Nigel treated him that way, and only expected 60 minutes of him (and put him on the bench when he thought higher energy was required). MP expects 90 (95!) minutes out of him and he gets it. So what happens when he's injured, or just gets a bit older? I think we are hugely reliant on him and the SD interview backed that up. At 31 I don't think we can expect more than another season or maybe two at the most if we are going to play a high pressure game. JRod is coming on in leaps and bounds and I thought he was being brought in as the new SRL but now I'm not so sure if that's his best position. Is there a new Ricky out there....... anywhere?

It's only fair to judge players at the end of their stay with us, so I don't think you can judge Lee or Mayuka yet. The best is still to come from both of them. PS - In the transfer thread only a couple of weeks ago it was said by more than one that S Davis was crap and we were ripped off for £800k. A slight change in system, an injury healing, a confidence boost or a kick up the arse can make all the difference. I don't think any of our signings in the last 2 years don't have the talent to make it. Lets see what MP can make of them. Interesting that he shipped De Ridder out straight away though. Surplus? or trying to get him some game playing confidence (which failed yesterday as he was taken off after 58 minutes with Bolton 1 down, and then they came back to win 2-1)
-
Why such surprise at the 5 extra minutes? 6 subs is always 3 minutes, plus trainer on for Fox, plus it took us an age to throw the ball back in most times. Plus it's Citeh innit!

No can do The FL have spoken Trust of bust Now wouldn't that be funny. A billionaire wants to pump in £500m to turn pfc into a footballing superpower but the FL block it in favour of the trust
-
That only applies to what they owe other people and other peoples assets. When it's pfc's assets it's /0.2% not *0.2% That's how they reached the figure of each match being worth £30m to the local economy

I think the complication is probably that it's value as a football ground whilst a football club exists is X while it's value as a piece of land for housing or retail is Y. How do you value it? Valuing it Y causes X not to exist. Whilst valuing at X makes Y not an option. It's a weird one. I personally (and without bias!) think that because it is held as security (and was willingly offered as such) then the security holder ought to be given his way rather than being shafted. He wasn't taking it to secure £2.75m (or £3m), he was securing £17m so to suggest now it is only worth 15% of that is a crazy argument. ---- Edit - You could say that the value of X is actually zero if it really can only be used as a football stadium and nothing else (unless another football club would like to buy it)
