As rallyboy says the FL don't care until the beginning of next season. Then they won't let them start the season if they are still in admin. It's not really related to the company existing or trading as such. They can exist for ever in admin as far as FL are concerned, they just can't play football in the league next season

I'm bored of hearing it's the FL's fault that clubs get dodgy owners. It's not controllable. It's not black and white whether someone is suitable. Things change and people change. The only way you can be sure is to have a fans owned club (a proper fans owned club, not a develop or debt driven model), but given that so many fans have got no bloody idea how to run a business and have massive delusions above the club's station even that is rubbish. Look at the owners / chairman Saints have had over the last 30 years. Guy Askham and his cronies - not a particularly bad person, but no real idea, no money and eager to take the opportunity to line his own pockets. Not the perfect candidate for Chairman and you could argue with those credentials shouldn't pass a Fit Test. Not a great leader model Rupery Lowe - See above, only he did have an idea of how to expand and run a business, but with dividend, profit and self publicity as his main goal Michael Wilde - See above and add clueless Marcus - We got lucky, he's our Randy Lerner. Not many about. A sound business man, with intelligence, but..... doesn't (didn't) want to run the business himself, so gave us NC Nicola Cortese - I personally have no doubt he will get us 'there' ('there' being a position of delusion above our natural position - see?). But when you consider his methods to achieving his ends, not exactly a perfect owner / chairman or role model, but probably the best of a bad bunch. I'd like to see the candidate that would meet a proper 'Test'.... and is Mother Teresa even interested in football? So stop bleating about the FL failing you and get off your arses. Buy the club out and run it yourselves (and that goes for pompey, brum, forest, leeds, cov and all the other clubs moaning about there owners) or accept there are 9 cr*p owners for every good one and it goes in cycles. ....and - specificaly to our skate friends down the road - if you can't get enough fans interested to put enough money in to buy it, then at least have the good grace to accept you're not that bigger club with the bestest fanbase in the world and stop making weak excuses. There is an amount of money that is enough for BC. Get negotiating and raise the cash. Rant over

The ball would have been back to the goalkeeper much quicker if Hazard hasn't got involved at all

Idiot Crazy thing to do

It's difficult to know what the exact debt is now, with or without CVA1. The last few parachute payments have at least in part gone to pay off some of the football creditors which were included in the quoted figures, so to some degree the debt will have been reduced. Tip of the iceberg I know

I see a bit of Matt, not a friend as such, but we have friends in common so we end up in the same place at the same time quite at bit. I like the guy but I really don't get his stance on NC at all. Don't get me wrong, I respect his view (although I don't agree with it), but I don't get why he keeps trying to hammer the same nail into the same coffin. I've discussed it with him several times and it always come back to the same old stuff. He doesn't seem to want to let go and yet his justification for going on about it is that he doesn't want people to blame him later when the world works out what a 'not very nice person' NC is. When I argue that everyone is aware of his views already and he's making himself unpopular and and not helping the club / fans, it just falls on deaf ears. I'm starting to think it's just an opportunity to keep himself in the media spotlight. All quite sad really. His main income is Sky and I don't expect they're disappointed in him stirring it up a bit more.

I generally look out for your posts. A sensible guy with a balanced view and an understanding of the realities of life today. Have to say you've lost it today. I suggest you don't review your posts from today tomorrow. ;-)

Welcome Vegard Hope you're more Lundekvan than Jacobson. Hope you don't read messageboards

Aren't we getting a little carried away?

Gordon Watson is a very close friend of MLT Difficult to believe he would promote a negative story about NC isn't it..... -
I can't imagine any club in the world saying that like a statement of fact. It's just a lie. They're used to it unfortunately.
-
Not pahars or ekelund or golac then - we don't want that sort of unknown. No exotic foreigners with no PL experience. Only average PL guys who can't get in other PL teams will be accepted A sure route to averageness and eventual failure

We really need to improve our dead ball delivery

Good stream? I'd settle for any working stream at the minute

Got a good feeling about today. I predict 1-3 to the mighty Saints, Villa booed off at the end and then Randy will issue a vote of confidence in his manager (who he'll then sack when they lose the second leg of the Capital One Cup semi to Bradford 0-2) (and while I'm making predictions, I think pompey won't lose today )

Actually not at all. I don't mind Guly but thought he was particularly poor against Chelsea. In my opinion (which is as valid as yours) the game passed him by. Lee when he has played more than 10 minute has been good (again in my opinion). Blind hatred my friend is something I'm pleased to say I've never suffered from. Suspect I'm being judged by your own standards.
-
Play Lee from the beginning then and put Gaston on the bench. Then you have a player on the bench who is good enough to change the game!
-
Agree. Nothing wrong with JWP or S Davis and I think Tadanari will come good when he get a run of games. Shame that Guly is only missing out through illness because I thought he was woeful against Chelsea and didn't deserve to be picked on skill/form alone.

Rangers have settled all debt due to european clubs by the previous owners. They were not obliged to do so but felt it was the honorable thing to do. Ok pfc.... your turn (not holding my breath!)
-
Hmmmm, Blackburn really are amazing aren't they. They appoint Henning Berg. He doesn't do very well so they sack him. The temporary boss then wins 3 out of 3 games. So they rush to get rid of him and appoint Appy, because they want someone who can get wins immediately..... Now correct me if I'm wrong but Appy's win record is worse than useless at both of his last 2 clubs. Can anyone explain that to me? I've got to be missing something because that is worse than moronic.
-
Not surprising really. pfc screw the country for millions and yet still have council support. The local MP's even have the nerve to suggest they should get public funding. So why shouldn't other local clubs think 'they don't bother paying their debts, so why should we?'

My fellow nutjobs.... I have a confession to make. Over the last days, weeks, months and years (Christ that's scary!) whilst reveling in the misfortunes of the fishy ones down the road, I've always hankered for the day when someone would finally pull the trigger. Life for me could return to normal (I'd have at least another spare hour a day!) and my beloved Saints could gradually grab a few thousand more fans from the eastern end of the M27 to help fill our soon to be extended 45k seater stadium. But I'm starting to have doubts! I fear that if pfc finally get put out of their misery, there are enough hardcore fans down there to make a new non-league phoenix club very well supported. If 5000 turn up to watch a team that get off to a good start and they rise up the leagues, then they could be getting 10000 to 15000 when they hit the FL again. They'd be fit and healthy and all the fishy people would have a healthy glow and big mouths again. Wouldn't it be better that they carry on as they are? An underfunded buyout by the PDT and losing the ground would cause far more pain. The circle of administrations and failure could go on for years!!! Wouldn't that be preferable to liquidation and reformation? I'm prepared to sacrifice an hour a day for the foreseeable future if that dream can become reality! You know it makes sense

Why do people think Chinney has to pass the FPPT to buy the club? He might want the club (assets) anyway even if it can't play in the league. Birch can't not sell it to him either on that basis. He just has to make the best return for the creditors (....Chinney) Chinney will do whatever it takes to get the best return (least loss) and it won't bother him one bit if he has to take ownership without being allowed in the FL club and then shut it down

Aaron Martin joins Palace on loan

This place is amazing In one thread we have an opp asking why no central defenders come through and in another we are writing off another at, what, 20? Less? How many prem (or even Champ) teams have 20 year old central defenders? People are doing the same with Gazza in goal - not good enough, stupid mistakes, useless.... Give me strength -
Article must have been written by a scummah in disguise. Everyone knows that fans of all the other clubs love plucky pompey. They're the bestest!

The last parachute payment will be in the bank account by then....... they won't need a new date. Just liquidate.
