Just a thought. Maybe the FL rejected the new bid because they actually want rid of PFC and they know the PDT bid is doomed to failure either before take off or very soon after. After all, the FL does know all the details of bid and nobody else other than PKF or the PDT do (transparency? Ha!) Maybe the skates are right and the FL do hate them. The FL could think that public support of the PDT bid to the exclusion of all other options is the ultimate route to destruction, either by liquidation or disappearing through the trapdoor never to be seen again? Thoughts anyone?

The skates will be lost as to whether this guy is a hero or a villain. I guess it tends to switch on a daily basis anyway.
-
You'd have to be some kind of evil genius to come up with an idea like that though. Do you have a Hong Kong address Trousers?

PKF are floundering in a pitch black room with a blind fold on and their eyes closed
-
I would expect that if the fans take over the -10 will be applied this season. The FL won't want to be seen to kick a new 'fans-owned' club. If the PST fail at court and a new bidder comes in and completes before the end of the season, I can the FL carrying the -10 over to next season Just making it up as they go along. The skates thinking the FL have got it in for them is such a joke. They've been so lenient.
-
If the skates all think this is such b*llocks over here, why do they keep reading it?

Ironic that he couldn't see that really

If it means the bloody clock won't stop on 90.00 and will continue into injury time then it gets my vote. Stopping at 90.00 has always p1ssed me right off!

...and what is the date of the next pp?...... anybody?

They're all still together in the same prison cell. It's just that it seems to have shrunk a lot in the last few hours.

As long as the judge doesn't do anything stupid that is...... (hmmmmm, my learned friends, I think £2.75m sounds like a nice number. Does that suit everybody (who's not from Honk Kong), Yes? Done! Next case)

so close..... Just 50 posts too late Unless of course you're just pointing out that the snooze have belatedly caught up, in which case I withdraw my sarcasm and winky thing and instead congratulate you sir! Have a new and entirely different winky thing!

This is reaching Dallas proportions. I'm sure I'm going to wake up in a minute and find the pompey are in the prem with a new training ground completed at Hayling and the new stadium set to be ready for next season. A couple of points off a champions league place with a game in hand. Is it all just a dream......... If it is I don't want to wake up

Yep. That just means he's passed the big problems the business has on to some other poor sod to sort out. It doesn't mean that he isn't involved there anymore or that he's stopped drawing a salary

Will Keith Harris be pompeys saviour, orville he not?

Does anyone know beyond doubt how many parachute payments are left? I thought this months was the last and if that's the case, why is Chinney interested in any kind of continuation. No L1 or L2 clubs make money so trading in the lower leagues isn't going to get him his money back
-
The fact they put out this sort of comment... "The News understands Cobbetts’ administration will not have an effect on the Pompey Supporters’ Trust’s bid to take over the club." after absolutely every event, big or small, good or bad, makes the statement completely unbelievable. How can you take any organisation seriously that claims a victory whatever the result

Absolutely I really want to avoid the 'King is dead, long live the king' option. In a straight jacket for 20 years will be so much more fun

This is a difficult situation for a Nutjob to call. I personally can't imagine anything worse than a reformed pfc storming up the non-leagues back into the FL with a supporting media fanfare declaring the fantastic fans reformed the club against the odds after evil and dastardly owners drove it into the floor despite the endless protestations of the phew. I want them to carry on like this (LLLLLLLLDDDLLLLLLLL.... LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL) but I know this can't go on forever, so I'd much prefer the fan buyout than a reform. Definitely a more painful and mirthful next few years. That definitely isn't getting away with it

Would be very disappointed if this was the case I still think he's got the potential to be extremely effective for us. Not sure what's he's done wrong other than been unlucky with injury. Thought MP would take a good look at him

I guess what I'm saying is that anyone can see it how they want. If you want to see NC as pure evil then he's certainly provided enough amo and that's before the rumour and bull**** that some want to believe too. If you want to see him as God's gift then that's pretty easy too. Back in the PL, signing £12m players. It's a no win argument. I suppose if NC is the biggest thing for fans to be split over then we haven't got any major issues as a club at the moment
-
How do you define good and bad in this context? 1) Paid over the odds for a player and settles ahead of time - I'm sure they think he was a pleasure to do business with, but that's not good for us 2) Refused a last minute pay hike by agent of player about to sign - makes him a c*nt and difficult to deal with in the eyes of player/agent/selling club, but makes him a bloody good chairman in my eyes. How you apply that to NC is definitely down to your own agenda

Two BIG exclusive interviews tomorrow
Winchester Red replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
For me the best thing about our current Chairman is that he doesn't care what people (fans) think about him. That's one of his major strengths. Wanting to be liked by football fans who all have widely differing wants and opinions is a recipe for disaster.
