Just trawled the Norwich forums and can't even find a recent thread on Redmond so his future doesn't seem to be a topic for conversation their end. Can anyone find anything from the Norwich end suggesting this is happening (or even a possibility)?

Not 'fair' at all I don't see that the final quote in The Echo justifies or proves any lack of ambition on the part of the club He says the manager chose to leave and that signalled things weren't right. Is he suggesting that unless they gave MP whatever he wanted in terms of wages and transfer cash then they've wrong. It's perfectly possible MP decided to leave regardless (as you did Ricky) and I for one would have been more concerned if the board had given in and we'd have posted another unsustainable loss. The board haven't been short of PR gaffs but Ricky's logic is just plain rubbish

You've got to wonder what their strategy is. I wouldn't buy the Fail because of their constant slagging of Saints (along with many other reasons) and my Dad stopped buying it specifically because of it, and yet nobody is going to start buying it because they like their constant attacks. pompey or another prem teams fans might laugh at it but none of them would specifically buy the Fail because of it. So why do it, to us or other clubs? It won't increase readership at all. (although disappointingly creating fictitious articles about potential player purchases probably will do)

I accept your view is one of the possibilities. I don't accept it is the only possibility. The fact that you repeat the same mantra endlessly is odd, but that's my opinion I guess. I like to keep in mind all the possibilities until fact dictates otherwise, rather than suggest the worst possibility is fact until proved wrong (and then think that simply saying I'm happy to be proved wrong negates the previous 200 posts)

How do you know that Shaw, Chambers and any other star at a very young age, has only agreed to sign a pro contract if it includes a clause to leave after 12 months if certain financial conditions are met? If it was the case then it could be we had no choice. Just consider if Shaw had refused to sign a pro contract. We'd have got compensation but £2m not £27m
