Paul Ince might also qualify unfortunately

'young, english and with success on the CV already' That narrows it down I guess. The people who fit into that mould are: Howe Mowbray (at 45 he is still comparatively young for a manager) Grayson Hill Clarke Pearson Tilson Brown Adkins Out of those I reckon we can rule out Pearson and Grayson as not wanting the job. Brown most certainly does want it, but has been a little too vocal about it, suggesting he has not had an interview and is trying to get one! There have been enough rumours to suggest that Howe has indeed been spoken to, and I can't believe that Mowbray would slip under the radar. My money would be on Mowbray or Howe, and I'd be delighted with either. Mowbray would get us playing the right way and what Howe has done at Bournemouth is one of the greatest managerial achievements of my lifetime, IMHO. Have I missed anyone?

well he most certainly isn't as toned as last year

Sorry for the over reaction TT. Does Xavier still play for LA?

Hang on maybe PM is just a clever ruse.... Could Paul Merton be leaving the BBC for St. Mary's?
-
The word PM has lost all meaning

So even though I was pretty much the only person to reply to this thread without sarcasm or abuse, you still give me such a patronizing reply? forget it then

He needs to pull his finger out. I love the man, but he was our worst player today and against Orient. Can't understand what's wrong him, it could be any number of things though I guess

Don't know what the standard is like now TT, but when I went to a DC United v LA Galaxy game a couple years ago (just after Becks joined), I honestly thought the standard of football was so poor that they'd be unlikely to survive in the Championship. L1 is the level of MLS imo, although obviously you are more qualified to make that judgement. Obviously right now they would beat us though. Me and my housemates could give saints a game at the moment!

I'm starting to worry that Lambert isn't carrying an injury. He's just playing terribly. An Everton fan (who went along with his mate) I met on the train on the way home pointed out a few things. Firstly he said that Lambert is ****. couldnt believe he scored so many goals last season. And an intersting thing he saidd was about the complete lack of leadership in defence - he said that the back 4 play as individuals as opposed to a unit which was a fair comment I felt. Puncheon was OK, ppl need to understand that he will frustrate at times but he looked more eager than the other jokers in the team. Impressed with Martin. Alex is quality - he scared them ****less when he ran at them. Dont believe he was taken off! Overall, an embarassing performance really. I took a few mates along today and they were amazed we were favourites for promotion! Feel really empty about saints atm, really hope something happen to cheer us all up this week

Interesting, particularly that last comment

I expected much longer than that. It's a blow but at least he can still be a major influence on our season.

You've pretty much summed up my entire feelings. Great post. Even as far as the Sh1ttu comment!
-
Let's hope the players' wives don't!

Davies Butters--Fonte--Martin--Harding Punch--Hammond--Morgan--Dickson ---DC---Lambo is the team I expect. Really should be enough to overpower Rochdale FFS, turmoil or no turmoil. I can see an uninspiring performance but I still expect us to win 2-0

I would tend to agree with you. WGS was odds on at one point, and so was Donkey Adams!

Ah thanks for that. In which case, surely the actual number could be much higher when the currently unemployed managers are taken into account?
