Probably for no other reason than we are playing them at home. I suspect the odds would be different if the reverse was true.

Give the boy a break. Compared to what we had to endure with Nathan Dyer, Antonio is bloody mustard. Sure he has a bit to learn, but I still think he causes no end of problems for defenders. He did make me laugh at Orient when he was so keen to impress (and keep the ball) that he dived it for a tackle on one our OUR players. Raw, but good to have.

Dear oh dear....bet you wished you hadn't posted that nonsense. I think, given the run we have been on, it is natural to feel a bit disappointed - but keep things in perspective FFS! Harding got done up like a kipper for the first goal. Second goal was just a great little dink inside and left the centre halves looking like mugs. Great save as it happens but bad luck it came stright back across the goal off the post. Then came that penalty shout. At the stadium I was convinced that it was not a penalty, and I was also convinced that the one we got was not a penalty. Having seen the slow-mo though, they were both penalties. We could probably have been 3-1 down at half time. Second half was all Saints TBH and Hammond had a great chance to level things up which he fluffed. Then we got mugged on the break - Lallana let his man go and by the time he realised it was too late. Still, what better way to bounce back that to stick it to Norwich next week.

I think we were guaranteed promotion after drawing with orient, and we could clinch the title if we beat spurs. Spurs had to get at least a point to go up. The 0-0 meant Bolton clinched the championship. It was a bit of a nothing game, and I remember thinking it was fixed - especially when funnell hit the post with an open goal beckoning.

Didn't we win at Luton the previous game - to set up the chance of promotion if we drew against Orient? I seem to remember a space hopper and a blow-up woman being passed around the crowd. I quite fancied the latter but couldn't keep hold of her. I remember getting hit in the eye by a sugar cube on the coach, and also pointing out a little old lady to my mucker - she was standing on the pavement next to the coach. "She looks just like my Nan" I said (she has passed away a few days before). As he looked round to see who I meant, another fan hawked up a huge greeny and gobbed it out of the window at her - square in the face....nice :-(
