I have posted a link to this thread of the MK Dons fans forum so that they can have a field day at our arrogant expense.

What news on ticket sales for the Luton match
kpturner replied to brianoneils slidingtackle's topic in The Saints
When we bought ours (at the Exeter game) there was not a lot of choice left - but then that could be because parts of the ground will be closed. -
I take it you are not impressed by the news that we are supposed to be in the running to sign Pericard from Carlisle?

I have got one - but by the number of people who think the match is meaningless and we should field our reserves, I might be in the minority. -
It's the CCC for Bolton and Poopey then!

....apart from MK Dons - who were third when we stuffed them 3-1.

Surely the Northam stand is full of girlie types and boys whose voices haven't broken yet. How else can you explain the high pitched nancy boy chants that they send forth week in, week out. Now - if the Northam were full of real men with decent gutteral low pitched powerful voices we could generate a decent intimidating atmosphere like this (I am determined to get this link into every thread) ;-)

Should we rest all the key players in the FAC?

Of course you are supposed to elucidate, otherwise it is called a poll ;-) Anyway...correct answer. -

You haven't bought a ticket then? -
Losng our last game before the transfer window a blessing in disguise?

You are a bloody WUM. However, if only Stewart Dennis and the Northam could do this, St Mary's would be a great place to watch football -

I don't need to explain that do I? I just want the team/squad to get back into a winning mode rather than having a recent record of (possibly) LWLL - regardless of who is playing. I have a ticket - I want to watch the best side we have at our disposal play well, win well, and go into the Huddersfield game in a winning frame of mind. They are pros - they can handle it. Rest one or two maybe if they are carrying niggles, but to suggest we do a "Wolves against Man U" is, IMHO, complete lunacy. I have to assume that those advocating a "put out the ressies because we don't give a toss about the result" have not forked out a tenner to watch the game. They would have been saying the same for the JPT against Torquay - but now we have a chance of a trip to Wembley it is a different story. I, for one, would like the opportunity of drawing a big one in the 4th round and having another good day out. The opportunity does not come around often. We may get a winnable game and get a biggie in the 5th round. Even better. I can just imagine the doom mongers having a field day on here if we lose to Luton (ressies or not). -

To compare the two situations is a nonsense. If you think that we are in a position to make 10 changes to our normal starting 11 to take on Luton and make a fist of it without killing our good run stone dead then I would like to see your suggested team sheet please. That aside, there are lots of people buying tickets for this match who deserve to see a good performance from the team they are likely to see against Huddersfield. Losing to Man Utd is not going to have an impact on Wolves confidence - especially if you have the excuse that you fielded a weakened team. Losing to Luton and rendering our recent run to LWLL just prior to one of the toughest games we are going to have at St Mary's would be bad news. -

They were playing Man Utd - not Luton....see the subtle difference? -

I do for one. I don't want to site and watch us lose to a non-league team thanks. -

It is about momentum. Stick out a weakened side and risk lose to a non-league team is not going to help us much is it? Whether or not we are going to win the FA cup is not relevant. We need to get back to winning ways - 3 defeats in 4 games (one at home to Luton) is not going to help us with our new "winning mentality" so I expect AP will field a pretty much full strength team in the hope that we can win well and go into the Huddersfield game with confidence. -
Are you saying Colchester are bigger?

"We are not a play-off side yet" - Pardew post match. "Mellis gone back already, no decision on Antonio, Trotman decision this week" Implies Trotman decision is in our hands.
