I've had to send myself a PM saying that I was misquoted. -
How come you've seen it? The posters on the underground said Jan 8th!

Something going a bit pear -shaped with the quotes above - I seem to have swapped IDs with Saint Richmond! To reiterate I have now looked at the charter and am happy to say I was wrong and yes it is a problem that needs sorted asap. -
I have a regular chat with the ticket seller at my local station who is a Torquay fan. He is very impressed with Jake's form so hopefully he is improving to the point that he will be an additon to our 1st team at some point after the loan experience and regular games for them.

Yes, you're right. I've just dug out the Supporter Charter and it's there alright. In that case it does need to be sorted or the Charter amended. -
Looking forward to the Ian Dury film. My alltime hero so I hope I'm not disappointed. Andy Serkis as the Upminster Kid is a good starter though.

I do sympathise, but, the fact is that a ST is for league games only. I have one in Block 37, but it's not my seat at any other times than the game numbers on the vouchers. -
Hi, Dr. Strangepork here, i am ze mind-physician from ze University of Utrecht yah? Ya this a verr interesting case -please to lie on ze couch Mr Red&White 91, although I suspect zat zis is not your real name eh? You are, at your own admission, 18 and have hated 'ze skates' for 'so long' time that you have forgotten where zis started. Zis is worrying as short-term memory loss is usual only in ze older generations after much beer drinking and smoking naughty plants, ze scientific data shows. So where was zis hatred born I am wondering? Was it absorbed subconsciously from your friends or have you suffered a deep and traumatizing 'skateattack' which you have blanked from your conscious being, but alas, has left you mentally broken and full of ze 'skatehate' as we scientists do call zis phenomenon. Your therapy is to book a holiday in Portsmouth for 1 month and spend every day approaching ze blue-shirted local inhabitants and giving them a big, long hug and ze mwah, mwah on ze cheeks. Only then can you find ze inner peace and love for all things fishy. You may leave now, Zat will be £5000 please.

That was me. I think the incident was about 10 mins before half time. He was down for a while until play stopped. We watched him afterwards when he jogged back on and he was unsteady on his feet and a couple of passes were to no-one and then he stopped with his hands on his hips. It was obvious something was wrong. When he walked off at half time he was holding his head.

I asked one of the Saints Trust 'Save Our Saints' bucket holders before the Ajax game this question and was told that all donation totals would be posted 'shortly' on their website. As far as I am aware that never happened. As for SaintsAid, again, I never saw any figures published and am still not sure who the organisers were. However, I do not live in Southampton so may have missed this. I remember in particular, the grandmother giving £500 over, featured on SSN. It is not essential that we know IMO, but I would have expected to have seen some figures somewhere, just as a matter of courtesy if nothing else.

I fear the Solent may reject the rubble, Portsmouth Harbour perhaps?

What's it like - is it worth having or should we stick with 2009?

I dug this thread up whilst looking for some stats involving the dates of our takeover and AP's starting, as i was going to start a new thread concerning the 2nd half of the season. Then I though it would be just as easy to bump this one so people could look back without having to go searching. For what it's worth, here's my 5 eggs. When he was first appointed I didn't really have an opinion. Like many, I hadn't even considered him at all. He started off in a very definite way, seeming clear as to his objectives, and then started to pull some names out of the hat from all kinds of places in the short time he had before battle commenced. At first it seemed to make little difference, but then it started to click, and then accelerate, producing the kind of form that some expected as a minimum, some hoped for, and some were surprised by. Well now we are half way through and I will give him 8 out of 10. Some of the tactical decisions have left me with a question mark in a bubble over my head, but I have been impressed with his ability to change things during a game mostly to our advantage. The second batch of 23 games will give him different problems, starting with the transfer window - to stick or twist. I wish you all the best, Alan, as the next 23 games will tell you, and us, so much about your ability at this point in your career. I've been to nearly every game this season and feel reborn as a Saints fan. I thank you for your part in that, whatever happens. Keep the faith COYR

Would signings in January strengthen the team or upset the balance?
RonManager replied to Son of Bob's topic in The Saints
4-5 months have now passed since the takeover, things are settled concerning the running of the club, we are doing very well all things considered and AP and NC have had a good chance to sit down and decide exactly what they need, not only for the rest of this season, but for next as well. I expect there is a Plan A for promotion this season and another if not. Both would consist of buying good players on good contracts to cover both eventualities, to keep the continuity going and engender healthy competition for 1st team places. The difference may lie in whether they buy now or line up players for purchase in the summer. I think on that basis, with promotion still very much an attainable goal, January could well bring some high profile signings, but we shall see. -
Bump for retrospection, argument starting, cheap shots etc etc
