  1. Well, I won't be renewing at this time then, had planned on using the installment plan for renewing the families 3 season tickets, just broken the news here in the office and so far there's 22 tickets not being renewed, 3 people have decided they will put it on there credit cards so out of 25 tickets the club will only less than 15% renewal !!!!!!!!!
  2. I was there that night at Loftus Road, had to be the most complete performance I ever saw from MLT, still got the picture from the Sun of daugther holding the Please Hod pick Le God banner, Hoddle did a lot of great things in the game didn't he? Can't say I remember any of his performances, and here as a manager he inherited a solid squad and moved on before he got found lacking.
  3. Well my view on Semi is that he's caught out of position to often and also bottles far to many tackles for my liking , backs off far to much as does Seabourne. Ok going forward but needs to realise that he has to track back far quicker when Saints lose the ball, hence being wildly out of position. Think the bigger miss is a central midfielder for Hammond or Spiderman, Puncheon can do a job there but he's much better out wide.
  4. Yes was the announcement necessary? the screens had the message up, I suppose they decided we needed the announcement as we had no programmes! If they were serious why wasn't the years ban part of the original announcement, surely that was the only real message needed, and then only once, The message from the Northam was more of a reaction, including the on the pitch if Wotton scores, Paul even turned around at that chant when the penalty was awarded and was 'HUMOUR' from the Northam , the 'whose the ****** on the mic was funny as well, As usual the stadium manager and stewards got it wrong, police dogs last time by the Northam and guess what it was the Kingsland that had the first break onto the pitch, this time no dogs just no need to have the police there at all, far better to of had them in the tunnels in the background, were they actually needed? Where was first incursion ah yes Kingsland!
  5. for the Yeovil incident , all pleaded guilty to violent disorder and were sentenced on 22March Andrew Manell got 45 weeks imprisonment suspended for 24 months on suspended sentence consecutive, £250 costs , curfew order between the hours of 2000hrs and 0700 for 2 months, must carry out unpaid work for 250 hours, football banning order for 3years Tony Gailor got 45 weeks imprisonment suspended for 24 months on suspended sentence consecutive, £250 costs , curfew order between the hours of 2000hrs and 0700 for 2 months, must carry out unpaid work for 250 hours, football banning order for 3years Rikki Weeks got 45 weeks imprisonment suspended for 24 months on suspended sentence consecutive, £250 costs , curfew order between the hours of 2000hrs and 0700 for 2 months, must carry out unpaid work for 250 hours, football banning order for 3years and Christopher Wilson . football banning order for 3 years intensive referral order for 12 months (this is similar to a community order in that he must comply with all conditions as set out by Probation) now have the Freeborn group been charged with violent disorder if so I'd guess that the custodial sentence is unlikely
  6. well if we finish within 10 of the playoffs then thats a good season for me, any manager needs to build a team , look at the line ups in the programme just this season then look at last seasons team , don't think any manager or club can take such sweeping changes on the pitch and behind the scenes and expect to win every game grow up people , best season for being a Saints fan in years
  7. first time I've been to a cup final with three generations of my family, proper day out family bonding and at the age of 47 first time i've had my face painted!!!!!!!
  8. yes can we not have the league scores on the screen at half time? used to have the boards at the Dell and checked them against the list in the programme, As to Stuart Dennis and the music can both of them, rather have the music stop as soon as teams out of the tunnel , then let the crowd make the noise, and for gods sake get some better music if we have to have music but Stuart Dennis nah no thanks , rather have an ex player out there, is there a current player at the club thats not involved at the moment that could do the role, Murty ? rotate the role with ex players
  9. think the fact Swindon played a high backline just made it effectively 8 2 against our 4 4 2 we ended up narrow and the tempo dropped. we did hit the post and bar several times
  10. just as a reminder of what football violence can cost you, 4 defendants have been found guilty of violent disorder after the yeovil game and will be sentenced at crown court the week prior to the JPT Final, they are currently on conditional bail and banned from saints games and therefore likely when sentenced to be forced to miss the wembley trip and all because they reacted to words
  11. well if the crowd inspired the players I reckon we should invite a skate o every game til the playoffs especially if we get results like yesterday
  12. think they pulled out on a deal to sign him if i remember correctly
  13. HMRC have applied for winding up not admin, so if it gets to Monday IMO they will be dead. Admin they need both an administrator and a court order to allow that and be able to prove that they have assets to cover the immediate running costs. They need working funds for the day to day costs and to pay HMRC its that simple.
  14. but they can sell players thats not banned anyway, what is banned is the other club being able to register them, and off course the two team rule, can't see Blatter giving in unless someone challenged it as a restraint of trade, but it is a members club so who knows. no one player is worth enough, no real deals were done in the PL in the last window, and who is honestly looking to buy any of their players now? money would be in installments as well so means having to sell more players, in conflict with them signing more players on since the window closed they have all but admitted they do not have the income to survive and their need is now so unlikely to survive to the next window, if thats not insolvent then there must be another definition
  15. personally I thought NC's comments were to take pressure of the cup games and make sure we got a wembley day out, the league has always been a long shot, still just about possible, but form would have to be amazing and not sure AP yet knows his best teams, I say teams because different opponents will need a different approach, still not sure on right back,or AP's midfield but I'd give him til the end of next season minimum
  16. you can't run insolvent uptil you get the next payout then clear debts partially then incur more until your next pay out which it seems is poopey's idea.
  17. heard Coppel on the FA Cup coverage what on earth is he on, just because its a football club it should be saved, employs a lot of people! well where was that sentiment for Woolworths then ? why does football think its special and able to flout the laws of the land let alone any morality issues
  18. we got done for pace at the back, but the cb's arn't the normal first team choice, with waigo and antonio as pace up front we had them rattled, when you consider how many games we've played you have more choice to fit the statistics for late goals. they brought on fresh legs as pardew did, for them it worked, for us it didn't, they are a prem side, we were always going to struggle against true pace, in Div 1 you usually gey players learning the game or the opposite extreme in the prem you get players in their prime yes we missed our chances, do you think on the poopey forum theres a thread complaining that James had to make world class saves to keep out a L1 side? and that they have analysed it down to the minutes we had our chances? or maybe they are complaining that AG should of made his changes earlier so they could score more? when WGS was here we ran for 90 mins, scored late goals, every team is different personally the reason I think RJ has been replaced is not his pace but his concentration but today I couldn't fault it pardew has analysed it, he's made signings , he's made changes, the team is learning but its hardly a settled team, Birmingham beat us earlier in the season, they are now a very settled team hard to beat etc
  19. Security yes, but if the ground was sold for a sum greater than the debt secured against it, unlikely I know but the additional funds would go to the club/administrator unless of course his was a 150% mortgage against FP and the club. The club at this point would appear to only be worth the value of the office furniture and the contents of the stationary cupboard assuming they were paid for. Wonder if like when we moved from The Dell there will be an auction of parts of the ground? if so what would you buy and what would you use it for ?
  20. hope everyone's using the vote section http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Grant-I39m-staying-for-Pompey39s.6051769.jp Can Pompey still claw their way to Premier League safety? 27% Yes - the next three games will decide our fate 15% There's plenty left to play for this season 58% No - we are finished in the top flight
  21. Heard this morning that Poopey will have a new owner next week ----------------------- Nick Girdler on Solent this morning proclaimed he was buying them for 50p!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. If Chainrai had recouped that amount then its unlikely the club defaulted on the loan? think about it, how would he claim the shares if he'd already had a big chunk back?
  23. Well didn't both Luton and Bournemouth get hit because they had history of admin? well so do the Skates, so if they arrive in the FL, then Storrie, Redcrapp et al get whats coming the FL will have to act. If by some miracle they are still in the PL when Storrie Redcrapp et al get done what happens? it will be interesting which way the PL react Off course with Milan now being at another club where would his penalty be served? and who will impose it?
  24. The Beatles has to be played at the Derby game, think it needs a mass email to the club, would certainly put some humour into the occasion and can you imagine the pundits all sat there as it plays in the background live on TV
  25. As one of the fans that would of backed an appeal on technical grounds that SLH was in ADMIN not SFC I can't see any difference in appealing on technical grounds against HMRC and also appealing for more time as we've got new owners. SFC never entered admin and is the same company however PFC is now PCFC well for the last 10yrs it has been since your last flirt with the abyss
